  1. It was late and that’s my excuse, amended it
  2. Renewal was £218.70 (0% increase on last year) Premium was the £237.70 with increased value (£19.04 increase for increase value) Agreed Value - £50,000 (56.25% increase on last year, fought hard this year as I accepted first offer of £32,000 last year) Mileage - 3000 miles Excess - Which one are you quoting? Requirements - Locked garage overnight when within 1/4 mile of my home.
  3. Good to know I thought they'd get quite hot on a run!
  4. What kind of paint have you used on the heat shields? Is it the same grade as calliper paint or do the shields get hotter?
  5. 100% Supra, you can hoon around in the RS6 in all weathers and lets be honest most supra's are second cars and only come out in the sun. If you don't jump in that first when the suns out you may as well sell, as when else are you going to use it?
  6. SRD are only about an hour away, that's where I would be taking mine.
  7. Well I'll be damned, welcome back Adam! Project cars are hard to find these days, prices as I am sure you have seen have gone a bit bananas so even rusty old sheds are commanding a premium. Good luck

I don't think that will be the case, they showed in previous seasons that if Bottas was competitive that they let them race with the lead car getting the preferred strategy. Lately though he just isn't so has been resigned to a wing man and focusing on the constructors rather the drivers championship.

Indeed, Russell has shown he has what it takes, he just needs to deliver now and do it consistently.
  10. Welcome to the club, it would be great to see some pictures of your car! Start up a new members thread when you can
  11. When I called they were very helpful but my insurance premium was twice the price of what I was paying. Not everyone is going to get the best deal, especially if you already have a really good deal with another insurer. For context, I am paying £220 with Lancaster and Reis wanted over £400 for the same cover. Neither are classic policies, accruing NCB on both and identical cover.
  12. Great news and thanks for letting us know with the price. Is it going abroad?

I'd say oil for them all to lose it at the same point. RE the weekend, I think it was a poor decision to run the 2 laps just to get a classification. But I guess money talks and it would have cost them a fair penny not to run the race even though it wasn't really a race anyway!
  14. The lowest mileage one in the UK is a black 1995 plate with 29868 at it's last MOT last year, next one after that is a red 1996 plate 41013 as of it's MOT this year. Black one is a members the red one is not.
  15. I think he does them made to order now, I know previously he only did them as group buys but going by a post a few months ago I think this is not the case anymore.
  16. Great picture, I never meet anyone famous!
  17. When it's running a bit better, would love to hear an exhaust video as I bet it sounds amazing.
  18. I clicked on the thread thinking, hey I've never heard of a Suora thinking it was some obscure car model

    Tyres

Because aquaplaning and wet breaking are strangely the opposite! Aquaplaning needs lots of grooves to disperse the water effectively and wet braking needs less so it has a bigger contact patch with the tarmac. Obviously it still needs some grooves as you wouldn't stop very well on slicks
  20. Lordy! Is there anything that isn't rusted This is either madness or a labour of love to keep going! Looking forward to the updates for sure
  21. Hi Chris and welcome to the forum. It's not entirely clear but I would recommend using super unleaded E5 fuel anyway as that is what imports are designed to run on due to the different fuel available in Japan.

    Tyres

Considering the driving they were subjected to then I think they did pretty well for a performance tyre. However I don't remember exactly how many miles they did before I changed them.

    Tyres

Can't say I have done much wet weather driving on them but they are a very grippy tyre on the supra, never had any issues with them and they hold up pretty well when pushing it.
