  1. Sounds fair, it's not that the cars aren't worth the money but you need to find the right buyer It's been mentioned a few times now but it's moved on from your everyday personal loan, so it's a reduced the pool of people in a position to buy. You could sell for £45k in a week or it could take months, I think the important part to remember is there probably won't be that much interest overall but those who are interested are more likely to be genuine. There aren't that many people in the market for £45k 90's classic Japanese cars, as I mentioned earlier though, it doesn't mean they aren't worth the money. The car above is starting to move up in price quickly now, already up to £25,250 with 4 hours to go 100 people following it also.

Totally agree, if your penalty equates to more places than you can drop then it should roll onto the next race or you are not allowed to take other penalties alongside one that instantly puts you back of the grid like an engine penalty. Indeed, a few getting perilously close. I also feel there will be a few more COVID spouts that mean drivers miss races.
  3. It's so hard to judge value as the difference in quality is vast on the market. You have spent a fair deal of money on restoring this car which means it will be a solid buy compared to some of the cars I see, which don't seem to have had any kind of work done at all asking the same price. Given the fact that I assume you are time limited (??) then I would probably market it at £40k - £45k aiming to sell at the lower end of that range. Keep an eye on this one that is currently for sale with 29 hours left, it should hopefully give a bit more context on where the market is right now https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1995-toyota-supra-mk4-twin-turbo
  4. @Littler seen this? https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1995-toyota-supra-mk4-twin-turbo Still 29 hours to go, assume it will probably take off but thought it was worth a share

I've seen that and the interview with Toto, but I also know that given the performance deficit of a used engine and how tight the championship battle is going to be, they will need every ounce of performance given RB have a more competitive car this year. It makes sense to follow suit and use an additional power unit to have a faster car in closing stages of the season. All my opinion of course.

Hamilton will have to hope for a similar result when he inevitably has to take an engine penalty otherwise it's advantage Max.
  7. Well had a lovely time as ever catching up and meeting new people! Massive thanks to @Ric for sorting me out with a jump, after my battery decided to die over night! Thankfully a Halfords round the corner with one in stock, so it didn't cause too much disruption! It wouldn't be a Supra trip if we didn't have breakdowns, cause traffic mayhem in small villages and get lost at some point (I blame @wile e coyote ). So glad the fuel chaos didn't cause us any massive headaches and everyone had enough to get home Thanks to @Branners and co, for organising another awesome road trip. When's the next one then?
  8. Really feel for you mate. It however is so easily done, I put petrol in a diesel twice before when not paying attention to which car I was driving! Both times I quickly realised and only put a small amount in, so I could then fill it to the brim with the right fuel and it wasn't too bad. Thank fully now all our cars are petrol so I shouldn't do it again but it just one of those things. Haven't seen you since DB along time ago! Would have been nice to catch up but I rocked up at about 7 after you gone for fuel. I hope you managed to get to Bath in the end.
  9. There is a reason why Bugatti Veyron tyres were £32,000 a set for 250mph, they would fail after 15 minutes at top speed but you would run out of fuel after 12 The force on tyres is immense at those speeds.
  10. Had a chance to check the date stamp? I would also check them on the new tyres as well, usable life of a tyre is supposed to be 5 years from date of manufacture but for odd sizes or less common ones, it could have been sitting on the shelf for a long time. It's probably not so much of an issue for your average car but the load going through the tyres on a high powered car, you are taking the tyre to it's operating limit every time you launch so any degradation (cracks etc) of the tyre is going to put under massive stress. As Dunk says, given the way the tyre has failed, I would guess you got a large puncture with rapid deflation and the rim just sliced through the tyre.

Perfect example of why it's a team sport and more than just having a competitive car with an experienced driver. If Hamilton hadn't listened to his team then Verstappen would be taking the 25 points and if Norris had listened to his team he would have his first ever race win. Was an entertaining watch at the end, some big winners and some big losers on those last 3 laps. Just think if there had been an accident and it was red flagged or a safety car, Norris would have one.
  12. sigh, boggles the mind! I had to hunt for Super unleaded yesterday as Tesco and Shell had run out. Ended up with Texaco Supreme You won't catch me now!
  13. You can get a range extender for a fiver, gives you an extra 20 metres of range
  14. Not sure mate, took a picture of it for you.
  15. I shall bring mine although I couldn't get it work properly last time which was annoying!
  16. All good as long as they don't have an accident which voids the cooling off period and means the full amount is payable
  17. Millers is fully booked unless you want to eat after 9 or before 5. It's a Saturday night so most places will be getting booked up, so I would be booking as soon as you can. It's unlikely that we are going to be able to all eat together given the group size and that we haven't pre booked somewhere.
  18. @Fearless We have booked breakfast but didn't get asked to book a time slot? When did they ask you to do that?
  19. It all depends on what madness happens at work, I can't really commit to a time but it's likely to be between 4 and 5 if all goes well. I wouldn't hold out for me, as I wouldn't want you waiting around if I finish late which is a distinct possibility!
  20. Great work @Burna @ellis and of course @Branners. Really looking forward to this
  21. Understood, I shall awaken it from it's slumber

As the general price rises, we are going to see even more hyper inflated prices for low mileage models. If you have a low mileage car, from an investment perspective, you'd be better off buying another high mile car to drive and squirrelling the other one away just bringing it out to keep it in drivable condition. You would make your money back in spades in the long run as long as you had someone dry to keep it.
  23. I will be going down on Friday from Chesterfield, not sure what time yet as I am at work on Friday but shouldn't be finishing too late
  24. Best blow off the cobwebs! Haven't used it in a very long time Is there an option to put this onto my phone in google maps? We have the novelty this year of being in the UK and not being eaten alive by data roaming charges If not I'll set some time aside for bringing it back to life!
  25. Am I right in thinking an SZ is a 5 speed NA ?
