  1. Assume you are not running the diff cooler? There is the below from this thread but not sure if that is for big or small case - https://www.mkivsupra.net/topic/31674-faq-oil-fluid-interval-capacity-steering-brake-coolant-diff-engine/
  2. What colour are you going for?
  3. Great work @ellis and @blythmrk!
  4. Winter is never a good time to be selling a sports car, but a good time to buy as sellers may be willing to make a deal due to lack of interest. That's a general thing and not directed at this sale I might add.
  5. First video shows upshifting through the gears which looks perfectly seamless
  6. Amazing, excellent sleeper right there and sure to shock a few people!
  7. I get that, it will always be a marmite car given it's predecessor has a devout cult following!
  8. Got the opportunity to sit in one a few months ago when I took the Supra in for a service. It is a lovely car, a few angle from outside that I am not sure about but overall not something that I would turn my nose up if someone handed me the keys. I'll not go into the whole should it be called a Supra debate I know people keep saying it is a BMW, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, however I was actually quite surprised at how much of the car is actually from a BMW. I have a new 1 series and when I sat inside it was a very familiar place which for me was a little disappointing, especially given the Lexus parts bin they could have ransacked. Lexus have beautiful interiors! As I was having a wait in service I had time to kill so I decided to see how many parts it shared with my 1 series! Door handles exterior Wing mirrors Door handles Interior Window buttons Luck/unlock buttons Electric mirror buttons Digital Dash I drive system Handbrake button Infotainment system Steering wheel Radio buttons Heated Seat buttons All the driving light buttons Gear Stick Rear view mirror Hazard button I also didn't realise that most if not all of the exterior vents on the car are fake which again was a little disappointing. As I said overall I think it is a good car, plus it is also pretty quick as I found out on Dragoncol!
  9. Lovely looking car, definitely a worthy car to waft about in and observe the peasants from

I read that this morning. I think they knew it would get thrown out anyway but they have gotten something out of it as the FIA are reviewing the race to tighten up the rules and provide more clarity to teams and drivers. As for boycotting, not sure where I stand on that. In my opinion, the FIA should review it as they are, take any grey areas out of the rules and Michael Masi should probably consider resigning. Also they should make sure they go ahead with banning Team Principles from contacting the race director.
  11. I've noticed that the number of Supra's in the UK has started to even out over the past few years with not many being imported and not many being exported/written off. I imagine lots of them are being held onto now until the values plateau then it will be a mad rush to sell before the prices dip when the market gets flooded, settling back up again after that.

Stewards have dismissed both protests and Mercedes have indicated they intend to appeal. As above it’s incredibly unlikely they will overturn the decision as they’d be calling their own integrity in to question which they obviously won’t do.

Lewis was cruising to victory after a dominant drive, pumping in laps even with heavily worn tyres. It’s racing, safety cars happen and if this was something that would have happened before then I think Mercedes wouldn’t have had a leg to stand on. But to change the rules in a scenario that would decide the title is going to cause huge controversy and leave a black mark on the sport as a whole. The current rules are what Mercedes used to influence their decision making in the closing stages of the race, to change the rules on a whim again is going to cause uproar. No one is talking about Max winning, no one can celebrate. This can potentially drag on till Thursday before Max or Lewis is officially crowned champion as it is only provisional at this point. It’s a sad day for the sport as what should have been a great day for either team is now turned into a legal battle, because one persons poor decision making at the most crucial moment of the season. I fully expect the FIA to be behind Massi as it would never throw one of its own under the bus even if they ultimately thought Massi was at fault. If the protest is upheld, expect Massi to resign swiftly after.

Everyone, from all teams have all agreed on one thing this season in that all they want is consistency. The safety car call was not consistent with any other race that preceded it. So on that basis and countless interviews, by their own opinion, Max and Horner have effectively agreed with Mercedes on their protest. If this was any other race then that wouldn’t have happened and the race would have finished under a safety car. That should tell you everything you need to know about Massi’s decision.

I would agree on the RB side but Bottas is a proven race winner and has a few PP's under his belt this season too, I think a bigger factor is how much loyalty he has left for Lewis and Mercedes to really get his elbows out and block Max. We could also see "a crash" in Q3 that would deny either side a final run to get pole position.

I can't remember the last time that I was this excited for a race, it's been so long since it came down to the last race where there was nothing separating the 2 title contenders. Qualifying on Saturday is going to be pivotal, neither team can afford anything less than a front row lock out.
  17. For now looking forward to the updates

    Indoor heating

I used a online calculator and it came out with between 3kw - 4kw being recommended for that size of room. I haven't used any but this one has to be worth a punt at that price? Link

What size area are you looking to heat?

I agree that the rules need to be relaxed to allow hard racing but not too much so that there are clear and obvious attempts to deliberately take a competitor out or gain an unfair advantage. I am a Lewis Fan through and through but I have no doubt in my mind that Max is an incredible driver, where the difference lies is in experience and judgment which is why he ended up with the penalties in Suadi and not Lewis. In a sport of fine margins, to quote a supermarket giant "Every little helps" so everyone will always be out to exploit every single thing that may give them the edge. I actually thought some of the clashes were fair play but Max made one costly mistake when they were both jostling for the DRS line which they made him more desperate for the rest of the race. I 100% expect there to be a crash in the last race but for those who say that Max will just take him out to win the championship. The FIA have the power to intervene and have done so in the past to decide the title (Schumacher/Villeneuve) or (Prost / Senna)
  22. Problem is, lots of people have gotten in a cycle of buying a new car every 3 years, so aren't interested in 2nd hand especially when new car deals are more competitive than used. There's also the added risk of the battery dying and being footed with a huge bill to replace that runs into the £1000's, with the only replacements being available from the manufacturer. It all boils down to what your priorities are? Environmental impact Car / Running cost saving Having a new car etc...

The big reset for 2022 season will hopefully make it more than a 2 horse race.
  24. The other issue is that battery lease fee is about what the average person would pay for fuel a month, if you opt for the battery owned then it’s a big jump in price! There is a bursary but it doesn’t really entice people who weren’t going to buy one anyway. If the government is really serious about electric cars then they should scrap VAT on them to bring the price inline with the petrol alternatives.
