wanted wanted, tt manual diff, tt manual clocks & manual pedals
Little Matt replied to crispy's topic in Parts Wanted
I am trying to find parts. I've got the clocks coming Chris. I spoke to Toyota the other day and I was quoted £1,000 for the brake and clutch pedals. They comprise 72 parts apparently. I'm going to Toyota tomorrow to collect some bits so will have a look myself. A lot of the bits may transfer from the Auto brake pedal but obviously, need an entire clutch pedal. I was going to be sticking up a wanted thread myself but might as well add to this one. -
Get the clutch fluid topped up as a priority and bleed the system through.
-
I would get your fluid topped up and bleed the clutch off the slave cylinder nipple. (10mm nut and will need two of you), as my first port of call. Master cylinder should be tight to the bulkhead, two 10mm nuts again. Rod will move about a little bit. As Chris says, don't unwind it too far. I think though, a simple fluid top up and bleed will solve your problems.
-
Problems decribed are clutch dis-engagement problems. Check clutch fluid levels and bleed first of all. Pedals can be adjusted to move bite point. There's a screw on the piston into the master with a nut that holds it tight to the pedal. It's a 10/12mm nut, undo it and wind the pedal out, if that makes sense. Will move the bite point off the floor. Nice awkward access getting underneath the steering column.

Anyone used TJZ Engineering for a JZ engine before?
Little Matt replied to rwdwiganer's topic in Supra Chat
Spoken to Alan (Blackie) on the phone tonight and an amicable and satisfactory agreement has been met by the both of us. I have supplied over 50 used engines to other forum members, some to this forum with very good results. Engines which had faults were rectified thorugh replacement engine, part or refund agreed with customer. I know I have had issues with the fitting of conversion projects, but to date have an excellent used engine and gearbox and aftermarket parts supply. Sorry Mods if this is in breach of forum rules, I am not trying to promote my company, merely defend it and put my side of the factual story on the table. Clearing up any confusion there may be. -
For the record, it was an Aristo engine that was fitted so the loom needed splicing. We had a major problem with the engine that we used having had the igniter cut off at some point and the company that supplied me then engine twist and taping a new igniter onto the 14 or so wires that were there. No consideration was taken in putting the right wires to the right wires and it was then loomed up and hidden in the main part of the loom. This took at least 10 weeks to find out there was this horrendous problem. Couple of days and it was fixed. The engine was in the car after just a couple of weeks, had this been a straight Supra engine for Supra engine, I'm sure there would be no issues and it would have been done in 2 or 3 days. But it was a conversion, they take time. Unfortunately Alan's still isn't right. I will continue to deny ever saying I'm closing the business...I don't know why I'd want to. Workshop is closing...this point has been reiterated time and time again. Alan took his car from me for about 6 weeks before it came back, with the faults. I fixed 7 of them and had I had the chance would have fixed the last remaining intermitent cutting out issue. I called Alan to pick the car up having spent 2 days and 30+ miles testing the car and seeing no faults. Alan's reason for collecting the car was that he didn't want to have to wait weeks and weeks knowing how busy I was and he wanted to try the Supra loom onto Aristo engine to fix the problems. There was no mention of the company closing and he wanting the car out of there. At the time Alan came to collect the car after I'd thought I'd fixed it, I had only just decided to close the workshop and still wasn't sure about it.
-
I'm not saying for a moment any of the problems are your fault Alan, it's an intermittent fault. Nature of them being they crop whenever they feel like it. As mentioned, we did 30 odd miles absolutely fine 48hrs before you collected the car. It died on me as well returning to the workshop. I have worked to resolve the majority of the problems...it's unfortunate I've lost staff through illness and that I can't spend as much time as I'd like on cars but there is only so many hours in the day. I am closing the workshop end of the month, company is staying very much open. I am re-organising things to do just one car at a time at another premises. I will call you tomorrow Alan, have a chat about things.
-
I'll call you tomorrow Alan as I would like to know what exactly was done wrong with the car. As I told you, we had it running sweet as a nut for 30 miles after sorting several faults and it was only when you drove it away that it died. You said you understood how busy I was and didn't want to wait for me to fix it so wanted to try the Supra loom, so was happy to take the car somewhere else. I of course, would have fixed it even if it meant ripping it all apart and starting again. I hope Alan, you don't feel I've ignored you at any time. You seemed perfectly happy last time I spoke and saw you. It is a shame the car still isn't right but as we both know...it has been a nightmare since day 1.

Chris - I'll call you tomorrow. Hackin & Bailey - I'd like to know what was wrong with Alan's car but unfortunately I've not had the chance to finish fixing it. It came in with about 8 faults, fixed 7 and it was just an intermittent cutting out problem that was left to be fixed. Alan understood how busy I am and decided to fit the TT loom to the car. His car has not had a number done on it...if you'd like to take the time to PM why you think so, I can reply with my side of facts and events.
-
Apparently so....there was a TT been broken in Romania but it's disappeared. I could get them from Japan...but time is against me.
-
I am on the hunt for 1 or more TT wiring looms. Need to be uncut and in working condition. Cash waiting. Please call me on 07889 882850, email or drop me a PM if you have one for sale.
-
Can you PM me your number please? I want everything but interested in a few more details on the splices. Thanks, Matt.
-
You got anything else I might be interested in Jurgen? In need of engines and gearboxes.
-
Removing the resistor works fine on putting other engines in NA Supras. Wiring isn't too bad, need to keep hold of the N/A loom though. Would you take £900.00 plus delivery for the engine? I can have it collected if need be.
-
I have one, casing and all. £350.00 delivered.

Price reduced to £450 plus delivery and I will have it polished before shipping. -
I'll take it please.

Oil squirters can be had from Toyota for £30.00 (I think) and are not difficult to fit.
-
Toyota have only used three or four different types of diff for the RWD family, as a rule. Kaaz do very good diffs, I've used a Kaaz and a Tomei diff in the past, both 2 way, and I felt the Kaaz was a much more noticeable diff and thus more predictable. I don't know how much the OS Giken ones are, they look good from what I've heard but the Kaaz ones are in the UK and available for about £650.00. They have a superb aftercare support and all the spare parts to repair the diff if in time it has a part fail on it.
