  1. I have a few contacts with brokers for auctions and a company, but I just wanted to see what other places there are. I bought my car from tradecarview.com for $5,500 USD (from a dealer) and I've already put 10,000 km on it, it was a great purchase. it was an SZ non-turbo 5 speed with 136,000 KM. (146 now) I'm gonna be selling it and wanting to buy another colour SZ-R this time. any good places too look?
  2. can anyone tell me what kind of front bumper this is?
  3. what muffler do you guys think I should get for my 1993 SZ Supra (5-speed). I have a Blitz NUR spec, it's pretty old and rusty. I just want something that's DEAP AND LOUD. I was looking at RS-R GT II and it sounded pretty badass, but that muffler is like $200. I want something on the cheaper side... as it's only a muffler. thanks
  4. This is a custom metal widebody 5-speed NA from California, US. more pictures here: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=544226&highlight=red+widebody
  5. I meant pain in the ass*, lol. I used nail polish remover and that stuff worked great with some effort. I finishd painting my bashboard, started with white primer, and now it's matte black and the paint already dried some what, I'll wait a few more hours to see if it will get any better. I just ran my finger nail along the edge and the paint seems to scrape. What kind of paint should I get to "protect" the matte black paint ?
  6. I already bought the paint (plastic primer) which is white, and matte black for the finish. I only got 1 can of the matte black paint, should that be enough ? I already started on one piece of the dash, and like I said the rubbery stuff was a pain to remove... I will try to remove it with hot water in the sink, I just need to remove those two things I mentioned.
  7. thanks for the link adnanshah247, I think my only problem is removing the rubby stuff from the dashboard. I just need to pick some sand papers that more rough. btw, how did you remove the lighter thing from the center dashboard, also from the right side where the key is, how did you remove that button (beside the AC). I can't seem to remove those things.
  8. So when I got my car I've been doing some things with it, I don't even know what kind of spring setup it has. I was quickly removing one wheel to see the specs on it, while doing so, I know that my Supra has tein lowering springs. So I will be getting new rims / tires tomorrow... my car is currently sitting on blocks. The rear is 18 x 10 with +25 offset, and the tire is 265, it will be a tight fit for sure. Now my question is, can I just simply put the wheels on, and if I drive to a shop to have the height adjusted, will they just simply adjust my springs and that's it? or so I need some special springs or something? I don't know how that works. thanks
  9. So I made a trip to the store today, I just got some 80 sand paper and 400 sand paper, the 80 is just to smoothen it out after. I also got goof off 2 and some WD40, good off 2 seemed to work better. So basically I am trying to remove the sticky (rubber coating) layer from the supra dashboard so it's all smooth and ready to paint. Jesus christ it's a big pain in the ass, I was working on one small piece for about 1 hour, and all the black stuff sticks on the sand paper so it just makes it even harder. I didn't even finish it becuase I had enough of it. What should I use to scrub that son of a bitch off? I was thinking about steel wool? I just need something tough, once the sticky crap is off it should be straight forward from there. THANKS
  10. so I took my center piece of today, I just removed the vinyl to see what I'll be working with. It's all sticky and shit, what should I use to get it all smooth? once it's all tapped up ready to paint, I just use some plastic primer, and from there I can just paint it up and it should be good right? thanks
  11. I've searched around and couldn't really find the answer. I'll be removing my dashboard, according to these insturctions ( http://www.internetwork.org.uk/kit_inst/dashrem.htm ) and wanting to repaint it another color. Right now it is wrapped in some ghetto blue vinyl, it came with my car and it's old. I wanted to just spray it a fresh black or dark grey. It can be a matte or glossy style, doesn't really matter. If I just went to a store and got regular paint (spray can) should this be able to work? or should I get something more specific? cheers
  12. not the first time I've gotten tires for cars, I have an RX7 and went through three rims on that car. and interms of mileage I ment the gas consumption. different cars react in different ways to different wheel weights. I've talked to several MKIV owners with heavy wheels and they've said they haven't noticed much of a difference, maybe just a difference in ride feel obviously.
  13. I have no idea what you're talking about lol ^ I'm just basically asking will the weight really affect the mileage or performance that much. My frien has 19" stern st8 rims on his supra and they weigh about 35 pounds each, and he said he didn't notice any change in mileage or performance. I'm just asking for curiosity.
  14. 18x8.5 = 12.20 18x9.5 = about 13kg stock 16" supra non-turbo wheel weight: 16x8 = 7.89kg 16x9 = 9.07kg I have a 1994 j-spec non-turbo, so does it being heaver really matter that much ?
