    Wow, at £130 that is an absolute steal!! I had originally planned to go on this but have since sold my Supra and now have an ///M E46, so not sure id be welcome in the Jap club anymore

    Which is a massive disappointment, but may be the only way forward, I'm in no doubt it will be snapped up once put on Ebay.

    I called and spoke to warrantywise and asked if the things mentioned above are covered under warranty on the silver policy (The one the garage has taken out) and it is all covered. So ill get a professional inspection done during those 3 months to cover myself and put my mind at rest.

    Ive put this up on a few forums, and the general feedback I have got so far is - it may need a decent service with decent parts, valve clearance, VANOS issue, or to get a leak down test done, most of which you have covered above. I'm hoping its none of the major elements mentioned above, but if it is, I'm assuming this would be covered under warranty (with the garage I purchased it from through Warrantywise) If I were to get it looked at by a specialist after I take delivery?

    Well I have seen the service history regarding the stamps in the booklet, but not many physical sheets. All apart from the most recent are BMW dealership stamps. So I may give them a call once Ive picked it up, give them the Vin and reg and see if they can provide me with info on what was actually done on these services and try to put together the missing pieces on what may be outstanding/overdue. What BMW do you have?

    Just seen a rolling road print out in the piles of paperwork for a 2002 E46 M3 (343bhp from new) that I have just left a deposit on and it appears a fair few of the horses have bolted. (print out now shows 313bhp) I appreciate its 10 years old and has done over a 100k, but its still hard to look at. I know losing horsepower is to be expected, but does this seem a tad excessive? I'm thinking possible Valve clearance issue?

    The cost of the belts arent overly expensive its the labour time usually. I reckon, if in doubt get it done. Things like oil and plugs you could do yourself if fairly competant. Id also check what a 'Full service' actually includes before parting with any cash.

    I currently have a 307 as my only car. Debating whether to keep it and use the supra sparingly (even though it'll be an NA initially) or use it as a daily. Thanks for your responses guys

    Thanks for the feedback guys, it's pretty much what I thought. One of the cars I've been looking at already has the big brake upgrade and is a 5 speed NA. It's up for good money and have spoken with Kieron about an engine swap and it's looking like 2.5k supplied and fitted. As much as I'd love to just get a 6 speed T/TT. But the truth is that they are just out of my price range of I'm honest. Maybe it's heart ruling head at this time as I miss driving a Supra.....even an NA. Thanks for the opinions guys. Paul

    Hi guys I'm looking at getting back into a supra in the near future and was wondering of I purchased a 5 speed na, would an engine swap be possible and would the 5 speed cope with he change if I wasn't looking for it to push out big numbers? And would anything need to be changed also? I have tried he search button but after scrolling through the eighth page I gave up and thought I'd ask the gurus. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. Paul
