  1. Hello everyone! I know that I've been rather quiet for a while and there's been a good reason for it - as stated in the title, I will (finally) be supercharging my 1UZ! I've been researching, planning and acquiring parts for this for a few years now and in that time I've been um-ing and ar-ing over whether to actually go ahead with it or whether to go with a 3UZ or not, as well as moving house and having to deal with the loss of family and friends. However, I knew that I wanted a bit more power so during that time, I've been carrying out upgrades to the power train and braking system in preparation - full list of mods can be seen in my garage or by clicking on this link here . It hasn't all been plain sailing though; I've had brake lines and fuel lines fail due to corrosion, gearboxes give up the ghost, engine mounts and coolant pipes split and fail, electrical gremlins and parts not arrive - all the usual fun and games . Updates to this thread/project will be sporadic but I'll try and post updates as soon as I'm able to . I'll be taking lots of pictures and I also plan to do a video-series and put that on my YouTube channel for those who would rather watch . I don't have any pics at the moment, but I will put up a video of highlights from today's drive for comparison for when I eventually finish this NA to Supercharged conversion. I'll get the video up as soon as I can .
  2. Spotted you on Thorpe Road, heading towards the Longthorpe Parkway in Peterborough this evening at 17:30.
  3. I was driving through a town the other day and some kids shouted out - "Wow, a Supra!". Made me smile . On the whole, when I get to take mine out, I get a lot of thumbs up; especially with the roof off . I also get a lot of confused looks from folks when they hear a deep burble but see a Supra .
  4. Spotted you today at 15:48, heading towards Godmanchester on the A1198. I was out in my Supra for a change - tired of driving the family car [GRIN][/GRIN]. I was pleasantly surprised to see another Supra out on the roads - I had to do a double look and check my dashcam footage - I hardly see any these days .

  7. Hi everyone, I'm after a TT Auto transmission but I don't need a working one; to be honest a broken one would be preferable as I only need it for testing. I don't need the bell housing or torque converter. If anyone has one, please can you let me know! Thanks
  8. If for any reason it doesn't sell, I'm interested.
  9. I have an A01A diff sitting in my garage. I was keeping it as a spare, but if it would be of any use/help, I could part with it.
  10. If this is available I would like it, please! If there's a queue, please add me to it.
  11. Hi everyone, As above, I'm looking for the following in 202 Black: Bootlid, with glass (and spoiler ideally, but the spoiler is not essential as I have one fitted to my current bootlid). Wing mirrors - the mirror glass is not essential, but the outer casing is what I am after as mine look quite bad. UK spec bonnet - not essential, more of a would like than a must-have. I hope that makes sense but let me know if not. Thanks!
  12. Just a quick bump... If there is definitely no interest then they will be going to the tip this weekend.
  13. Hi all, I'm selling my front cloth seats from my '94 SZ Aero. Condition: They are in ok condition. There is some wear showing on the drivers seat bolster on the right-hand side (visible in the pictures). The electrics in the drivers seat work perfectly, so does the other adjustment dial, both seats slide forwards and backwards perfectly and fold forwards perfectly too. Price: £50 (if using PayPal, please cover the fees) Postage: Collection would be preferred but you are welcome to arrange your own courier. I don't have a pallet or anything so the seats will be going as they are pictured. The seats are located in Peterborough. My wife does not want these seats taking up room in the house, so I do need them to be gone ASAP. If not, they will be going to the tip! Please don't hesitate to fire any questions to me! Thanks for looking!
  14. Black with TRD spoiler and facelift rear light heading southbound on A15, going past Toby Carvery, KFC, etc., this evening at around 17:00. Heard you first, then saw you [GRIN][/GRIN] - a lovely looking Supra. The first one that I've seen going around Peterborough for a while!
  15. I may still have my J-Spec front calipers, if you're still looking for a set. I'll check my shed this evening and let you know.

  17. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to withdraw - I have transmission issues .
  18. Hi everyone, Sorry for the delayed response and thank you all for your input. Basically, it's now sorted and starting perfectly fine. The rear ground wire that I could not find - I found it, connected it to the ground point that I always use for it, tried starting the enging and it fired up first time without an issue. Upon further inspection, that rear ground was for the Starter Motor. Here's a pic of the wire in question: Thank you all again! I really do appreciate the assistance.
  19. Hi Shane, Thanks for the info! Just to check, do you mean the 50A main fuse or the 7.5A ST fuse?
  20. If you have a J-Spec TT box, then the swap is plug-and-play. If you have a J-Spec NA box, then it is not plug and play, as the NA box has a 4-pin connector for the valve body and that TT box has a 8-pin connector. different flange for the propshaft (you will need a full TT auto prop) and the N/A ECU will not be able to control it, due to lack of line pressure cable and the aforementioned connector difference for the valve body. This post here should give you a bit of an idea about the differences: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=153&do=discuss
  21. Hi everyone, I'm after a bit of assistance with an issue that has recently cropped up and I hope that someone can help me out To cut a log story short, 3 weeks ago, my car was starting first time, every time no issues. 2 weekends ago, I pulled out the engine and transmission, swapped the transmission and put them back in again. I've connected up all of my wiring (except for 1 ground connector at the back of the engine - I cannot find that one at the moment) and whenever I try to start my car, I get a constant ticking from the engine bay and it continues even when I switch off the ignition and remove the key. The only way that I can get it to stop is to remove the negative lead from the battery terminal. I managed to narrow the ticking noise down to the starter motor and ever since then, I've been trying to figure out why this is happening. During the reconnection process, I tidied up any wiring that I had going to the chassis ground point that the battery uses and any connections that used the positive terminal by adding connectors like this: I am yet to try starting without those connectors attached - it's on my to-do list for this evening. So far I have tried: Bypassing the Park/Neutral switch Redoing parts of the wiring for the Park/Neutral switch (in case they were shorting), Cleaning the connector and terminal of the Park/Neutral switch (in case there was liquid in there causing a short) Tidying up the wiring under the dash to make sure that there were no shorts (there were some wires that I added for a new TCU that I have now removed and thus, removed the excess wiring) Tried removing the starter relay to determine that the issue is definitely on that circuit. My battery was recharged about 4 weeks ago, the indicator on the battery is still green and as I said, just prior to removing the engine and transmission, it started perfectly fine. I am keeping the battery disconnected when the car is not is use at the moment, as I don't want it to discharge. Does anyone have any pointers as to what it could be that is causing this issue? I've never experienced this issue before and this is the third time in 12 months that I've pulled the engine and transmission, never had anything like this happen. Thanks for your time!
