Cool, thanks for the input guys; that's one less thing to worry about

Hello To cut a long story short, I unintentionally left the torque converter attached to the flywheel when separating the gearbox from the engine yesterday afternoon . I undid the 4 bolts holding the torque converter in place, separated the parts and found, to my horror, that the torque converter was still being held in place by 2 bolts. I have since removed the 2 bolts and placed the torque converter onto the input shaft, but not properly, yet. Is that it for my gearbox or can I rescue it? Thanks!

I'm in the middle of "whipping" the engine out of the Soarer, so I'll be down once I've finished

Congrats on becoming a dad ! I must confess that back in June, when my wife and I found out we were expecting our first, I did the exact opposite - I went out and bought my Supra! Hopefully, you'll get another in the not too distant future

Hello! I would like to remove the whole exhaust system and leave the manifolds/headers on the engine as I don't need the rest of it. However, as the title states, the bolts on the exhaust of my Soarer are heavily rusted/corroded and I am having trouble removing them. WD40 is proving useless at present and the bolts round-off at will. At present, clearance is at a bit of a premium, so I am hesitant to try and get my gas torch under there but if I have to, I will find a way to do so. Can anyone offer any suggestions to how to get the system off the car without me having to cut it up with a hacksaw? Thanks!

Someone from Toyota didn't proof-read the article, as I'm pretty sure the JZ engines didn't reach the 3rd generation and the Supra definitely came with the 2JZ ... Unless they've let the cat out of bag for the power plant for the MKV

Sorry for the absence, I've been outside most evenings stripping the Soarer and haven't really been on properly. I'm not going to make the convoy as I haven't been able to persuade my wife to get up for 0500 - which sucks . So, it looks like I'll have to meet you guys at the Falcon and join in the mega-convoy. Sorry to let the side down

I'll be leaving from P'boro, so it would be easier if I tagged onto the end of the convoy on the A14 as I'll be heading down either the A605 or the A1.

No worries, it was just a suggestion. I figure that if a number of us are leaving the area at a similar time, it might be nice if we went "as one"
