  1. Cool, is the e-mail address to send payment to still [email protected]?
  2. Thanks for all of the advice! I'm quite sure that it will pass the MOT in its current state but I'll get it checked out to make sure. If all is good, I may as well do it now
  3. I'm looking for a bit of advice on the above : My MOT is due soon and I am planning on doing an engine swap soon, my issue is: Should I let the MOT expire, swap the engine and then get MOT? - or - Should I get the MOT with the car as it is and then swap the engine out afterwards? If I go down the latter route, will I need to re-MOT the car once the new engine is in? I'd rather not have to do the MOT twice, if possible Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

  5. Nice! I'll keep an eye out for JP this month and pick it up when I can!
  6. Thank you all for the input! I'll give it a go once it stops raining. In relation to engine swaps, I've seen the odd 2JZ (as Tyson highlighted above) a few RB26s, SR20s and I'm sure some have even managed to shoehorn a LS1 V8 into one but I would imagine that it would require a lot of work and dedication. RX8s are lovely cars and whenever I've driven my brother's one, I've always complimented the feel of it and look of them; it's just the engines that let them down .
  7. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to put them in action over the weekend and see how it goes. Chris, I hope, for my brother's sake, that this engine hasn't retired as it was a brand new unit that he bought and had fitted just under 2 years ago and he hasn't used the car that often!
  8. I currently have my brother's RX8 (2004) parked up and it no longer starts. Highlights so far: It drove here fine, parked it up no worries. 1 week later I went to move it and the battery was flat, tried jump-starting it but no avail. It turned over fine but failed to fire. Charged up the battery, tried again and got the same result - it turned over and turned over but it would not fire. Does anyone have any ideas? Apart from the battery, nothing on the car has been touched and the car has half a tank of fuel.
  9. Thanks Steve, I'll give it another go when I get the chance . I had parked up at work when I noticed and didn't have time to do much.
  10. Looks like I'm going to have to put my name down for one of these as my aerial got stuck in the extended position this morning and is now refusing to retract - - - Updated - - - 1. Fitz 2. Rob_SRi 3. Andrew K 4. Hiten55 5. Drgrey 6. Mull1986 7. J-Meiser
