  1. All suggestions will be looked into, so thanks if youve suggested and haven't replied yet. Scorling, ure profile pic, top of the rock in Gibraltar?
  2. Ian btw, if you haven't been to mexico before I'd strongly reccomended looking at the myan Rivera, it's an amazing place, hotels the size of Glasgow city centre with ancient ruins to visit as well as lots of parks like xcaret, explor, and xel ha. That and the people and weather are great. Few us dollars go quite far there too.
  3. With a statement like that I will deffo be checking out costa rica, one I would have never thought of. Cheers!
  4. Maldeeves looks incredible, id just be worried there wouldn't be too much to do as they are really remote. Can't have everything in the one place I guess. The rooms over the water with plunge pools look so good. I think some people do a week there at a place like that, then a week somewhere else. I'd be up for something like that but think it would become too expensive.
  5. You can take all the credit when it's You that books the holiday of a lifetime then Ian lol. Feel free to jump in mate, we are both in the same boat so it's good to get other peoples opinions on places
  6. They have changed the name because of that, it's now lux, we were just looking at it thinking it looked good! Was it a member of staff that killed a guest? I think I remember that being on the news. Won't rule it out just yet, after all, Glasgow is one of the murder capitals of Europe and its where I live! People in glass houses. ... But still... Lol
  7. Firefighter with Strathclyde Fire & Rescue, stationed in Castlemilk in south Glasgow.
  8. Mauritius ive heard good things about, looking at a place in turtle bay in a national park. Heard the taxis to the nearby town 15 min away are £25 each way, which suggests the place would be quite expensive? Bali might be a good shout, not looked there yet. Hawaii will also be getting looked into. Hope wherever we choose has good snorkelling, I'm addicted to it after trying it in Mexico a few years ago.
  9. Phuket is a possibility, if we were going to Thailand it would prob be there or krabbi. Some of the scenery there looks incredible with the cliffs comming out the sea. Does Thailand have a butlins? That would be the ultimate!
  10. I'd love to go to a grand prix, my mate goes to abu dabbi every year as his folks stay out there. I'll take him up on his offer of going one day. It's expensive though.
  11. Sounds cracking, got a hotel in mind?
  12. Haha that reminds me of the advice frank the tank got in old school, she's 20ft away (walking down the isle) you can still walk away from this, it's not too late!
  13. Yeah? The flights to Thailand can go through dubi and we thought about doing a stop over if we were to choose there. I seen some of the water parks there look great amoungst other things
  14. Alright dudes, I'm getting married next year and I've been starting to look at where to go for our honeymoon. So far we have looked at Mauritius, maldeeves, Thailand, that kind of thing. Has anyone got a suggestion of somewhere to look at? Ideally looking for somewhere hot in april with some good trips and a mix of stuff to do as well as nice all inclusive hotel for under £6k (wedding gift btw). Been to the Caribbean so would like to try somewhere different. Any experiences/ recommendations are most welcome Cheers
  15. Oh yeah, missed it was a 5 speed too, sorry

    Hi

Welcome fellow Mcleod, good luck with the search. you should read this if you haven't already done so http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?67644-What-to-check-when-buying-a-Supra
  18. cool cheers. Ive been meaning to getting round to doing something about the seats as i got leather wipes a while ago and didnt like them. They obviously didnt do anything about some wear and a scratch i caused from my jeans whilst shimmying out after parking. its like the supra shuffle trying to get out at times and avoid hitting the door off something and trying to reduce the wear on the bolster by not brushing against it too hard. I tend to put my rght foot out and right hand on the kick plate and lift myself out to avoid it. I wonder what having a normal car would be like without having to be so caring of it! lol
  19. nice one, ordered some so ill give it a try. any tips on applying it?
  20. Unfortunately I won't make Sunday as its the old firm game. I'll get to the next one I hope! Geo, Sorry to see the supra go, it was a credit to you. Do you intend on getting another one at some stage?
  21. There's something very familiar about all this....
  22. Hi and welcome, I used to have a white mkiii supra a few years ago, with you buying 4 of them it was a shame you missed mine when I was selling it as it was in pretty good condition. I went from the mkiii (all be it the 7M-GE, not bad for first car) to the mkiv TT and there is no comparison. My uncle had a Mkiii turbo with the 7M-GTE and I remember it had a punch. They are nice cars and I had always wanted one. If you get a UK spec (or GZ model- anyone confirm that?) you will have the toys you are used to like electric heated seats etc. although they replaced the side hugging controls with a type of foam that is supposed to adjust to each driver. It was to save weight and personally I preferred the old system better but when in the pursuit of speed you can't have it all I guess.
  23. Is that including the horse power generated to get it to 88mph in the first place? .....
  24. "oh baby, you make me wish i had three hands!"
  25. I agree with being shocked by dealers. Last year i was giving my gf a lift to pick up her igo from Toyota after having it serviced and i happened to ask for a quote for a service on the Supra. A short time later the girl came back and said the mechanic had taken a look at it and gave me a quote of about £350 ish from memory. She then said they were charging a bit more seeing as its an import. I asked her what gave her the impression it was an import? She replied that the mechanic who would be doing the service informed her. She then asked if i wanted to put it through, and i had to say that id rather take it to someone who can tell a uk spec from an import. I dont know if it was lack of practice working on them or what, but it kinda put me off. If such a basic mistake could be made, who's to say what the next one would be if they got their hands on it.
