  1. Mixed emotions mate, sorry to see you sell up but pleased for you that you will get to own another great car, and it will be good to get a good look at one. As you say you might come back to it, with the GTR still likely to keep depreciating a fair bit, if it was me i'd have a shot of one for a few years and sell it to recoup most of the money back. Thats something gladly you dont need to worry about too much with a supra, as they tend to hold their value quite well. Personally Owning a MKiii and then a MKIV supra was a life long dream that i was lucky to fulfill and i really feel like i will keep it until it gives up. I wasn't too interested in modding it when i first got it but because of this forum and the people on it that are so helpful and good natured that opinion has changed and now see the light with regards to BPU. It really is a great forum because help is always at hand, and that comes from guys who have sold up too. As has been said a few times already, i've also had the car away this winter and last and it gives you a buzz to drive it again after being away from it for a bit
  2. Got them on mine and they are pretty good on rd. I'd like it if they had rebound dampening though to make it smoother through sharp dips in the rd etc. I like them.
  3. I had a quick fly by as a passanger in Tonytt's BPU few months ago. 2nd gear, foot down and just said to him afterwards "ok, mine doesnt do that!" Was so impressed im planning on BPU in the summer. Pins you to the seat.
  4. Think I remember reading that it was required due to extra heat generated by the exhaust gas recirculation system the UK spec uses in order to meet the emissions regulations at the time and that the scoop also adds 1bpu (according to Toyota) I like how it has a purpose and isn't just cosmetic
  5. Totally agree, get a full geometry setup done from somewhere that knows what they are doing (people have posted their settings before) If you are saying you want an upgrade that will give you an instant effect, for me geometry was the night and day change you are looking for. Car turned in like it was on rails afterwards and felt a lot more planted, added that was on good rubber.
  6. I'm nightshift on the 8th unfortunately. I'll try and get a swap with someone but most guys will be going on their work nights out themselves around the same time so may prove to be difficult. Hope to make it but at the moment I can't put my name down.
  7. I've found admiral to be cheapest for me over and over mate, so try it online if you haven't already done so. Add your mum if she drives as adding a female who has been driving a while took mine down £100. Good luck
  8. I can't make the Sunday, I'm working Off on the 11th too, if it helps
  9. Cool, no probs, it was just incase it was convenient for people. This weekend might be a bit short notice, if so then I'd be up for a night out some other time
  10. If you guys want to meet up for a pint, I'm meeting a few mates on saturday night in nice and sleazys on Sauchiehall st for some birthday beers around 8.30pm No pressure but its a perfect excuse if you're looking for one i suppose.
  11. I had this issue and it was noticed at a meet today. One of the guys knew what to do straight away and solved it in less than a minute. The circular rubber stoppers that meet the edges of the bonet where loose. They were screwed back down finger tight and that was that. Hope its as simple for you Chris.
  12. No, 1 of each per side, the picture shows this. Basically the uk lights only have 2 red lights on at night, whereas the jspec has 4
  13. Lovely car. Compliments are well deserved. It's a stunner. Interesting to see it evolve through the thread too.
