  1. I'll make it. T- thanks that's kind of you.
  2. Cheers guys, glad it might help at least 1 person have a go themselves. I think the way they protrude they must get bumped by people and cars trying to park all the time. Black box- I think it is to do with the alarm as suggested. It made access to the lights a pain. Thanks T- the gloves make me feel surgical with the spanners lol.
  3. I thought I'd share a repair I did to a loose headlight washer that's been annoying me for ages. It was lazily stuck into place using double sided tape. And was hanging to one side. Changing to new headlights to replace my old corroded ones gave an opertunity to see what the problem was. There are two 10mm bolts holding it in place, one was missing for some reason. They are tricky to reach because you can see them. Happy with the result. I don't know if its just UK spec engine bays but getting access to the near side headlight bolts was tricky because of this guy on the right The bolt on the right slips off the bracket without having to come all the way out and I had to bend the bracket down slightly to get access to the corner bolts Before After
  4. Lol that was a good one. At least I admitted I didn't mean it
  5. Either we are all world class pool players or there were some very very lucky shots yesterday lol
  6. Best I've tried are Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2's. found them good in the wet too.

  8. Been looking forward to seeing what they would show today. Genuinely excited by it. Think the angle looking down on it from behind really shows how flaired the rear arches are. I was wondering if the fans on the front were an aero component rather than for cooling. Probably wrong but it put me in mind of that ultimate race car Adrian Newey designed that had fans on it that manipulated airflow to aid downforce. It might direct airflow to the under tray, tying in with the rear defuser. They stated its been formed by the wind and I love how every curve and duct will have a function as well as looking great. The functional design and active aero has supra DNA in it and that's really important. With regards to power plant; I agree with other comments that the 2jz won't be matched with its over engineering that was in part due to making sure the embarrassment of the 7M-GE/ 7M-GTE MKIII engines head gasket failure issue wouldn't reoccur. Also in these economically challenging times, partnerships between companies are becoming more common to reduce costs, and this is why I was expecting the new Supra (wich I'm pretty sure they'll call it) to have the BMW/Toyota inline 6/hybrid engine they are talking about developing together (has there been a statement on the engine yet?) it would take some time for the concept to be adjusted for market, just like it would take time to develop its engine. Think NA with later turbo option too as previously stated. The developers will be monitoring forums like this for feedback so I say to them, good work and get it made! I'll take a test drive or 5 from the dealership when it comes out, but will prob need to wait 15 years+ to own one like I did with the MKIV
  9. Looking forward to seeing it mate
  10. Hi, let me be the first (..EDIT) 2nd... to wecome you to the club! Good choice looking at a supra, Im sure it would meet the needs you describe above. I would recomend becoming a paid member (if you havent already done so) and taking a look at cars that come up for sale here, as they are normally well looked after. There is a good guide to buying one found here; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?67644-What-to-check-when-buying-a-Supra A few of the Scottish lads are having a meet in Glasgow soon. You should stop by in your GT4 and say hi and see some MK4's up close. Friendly and helpful bunch http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?265771-Monthly-Glasgow-Meet/page45 P.S dont count out the Auto, it would probbably surprise you.
  11. Is the metal clamp that holds the battery in loose? Mine came undone and shorted the battery when it came in contact briefly. Just a thought
  12. Yes you still need a fcd on a UK spec. As Nic has said, best thing to do is go for all BPU mods as they are designed to protect the engine as well as improve performance.
  13. That's more like the actual one used in F1, that would be cool. Cool, I saw it had a pic capture button on it but it was an opertunistic shot of it as I had to shoot them while doing the J4 and the car was still warm That would be amazing if human eyeballs didn't see through glass lol Could always be useful to know I guess... Hiding from a predator etc...
  14. Cheers, something a bit different.
  15. Incase anyone is interested why the windows and glass headlights are so dark it's because thermal image cameras can't see through glass.
  16. I know, I was surprised at how hot the oil cooler (is that what it is?) on the right of pic 5 is but I guess it's the fluids that heat up quick to do their job, so it's normal.
  17. Sorry for the quality. It's a pic of a screen and there is glare.
