  1. Was just meaning a fcd might sort out the issue. The waste gate is bigger on export models hence why a ebc is needed to up the boost as it won't reach 1.2 bar like the jspec does with the cats out. It also doesn't need a restricor ring, that's just for Jspecs I believe. I don't know what I'm talking about, but for me fitting a fcd would probbably be the next logical step?
  2. I have nearly the same spec as you at the moment except with a HKS fcd and platinum plugs. I've never hit fuel cut. Was it cold where you were at the time? As temp can effect things.
  3. The sarcasm in you're posts are as enjoyable as they are frequent
  4. Ooft. Good save if you look at it that way. Did you order a new cover too? Just refurbed mine but would like to eventually replace it.
  5. Welcome. Get some pics up
  6. One positive thing if it is this setup is the new F1 cars are similar minus the front wheel drive and that's cool. Also using a high volume capacitor instead of batteries makes it sound like 88mph will be fun
  7. I hope so!, but the FT-1's engine was never really talked about other than maybe it being a rear wheel drive car was it? Interesting it saying the new Z4 wont get to use the hybrid technology that BMW are building from Toyota designs yet.
  8. New info today coming from Japan is that the engine will be a turbo charged BMW in line 4 cylinder 2.0 litre engine with 3 electric motors. So more Sources claiming the same setup. http://www.power-vehicles.com/2014/08/01/bmw-supra-takes-shape/ edit: Just seen the previous link is from "holiday auto" magazine in Japan too.
  9. I get 320- 400ish miles to a tank (80 litres for me)
  10. Cheers Paul, not put it back on yet but it can't look any worse than it did. Been bugging me for ages. Hope your happy with yours.
  11. 1 coat of anti rust zinc primer 1 coat of gray halfords primer 1 coat of saab black from halfords (had it for the daily driver anyway) Still to put a clear coat on it. Again from halfords. It's not perfect , still a few rough spots as I didn't have a lot of time and only 2 coats of primer on the inside but a lot better than before.
  12. Cheers Kev, took it back to bare metal on most of it and was easy with an angle grinder.
  13. I think the bolts are all the same. 10mm. There are plastic screws too that hold the clips onto the rear bumper. Just remember it's only the 10mm bolts you remove. The beefier ones hold the actual fuel tank on. Don't ask how I know that Did mine a couple of days ago.
  14. - - - Updated - - - Getting there now.
  15. I'd love to do this trip. Put my name down. Great effort Gordy, you've put a lot of time into this already. I also like the sound of getting onto the GP track. Always wanted to take the supra round an F1 track.
  16. So do all TT's have an Egr valve? It would make sense the car needs more cooling due to the possibility of high speed cruising on the autobahn as you say. Also the uk spec has bigger injectors and cam shafts (as you know) so might add to the cooling requirement. I thought the reason for cooling that specific area was to do with the egr though (at constant high speeds it would be the hottest area) as it's positioned around cylinder 5/6.
  17. Hi Allan, glad to see you got a thread started after seeing your post on Facebook. You seem to have good enthusiasm about getting this off the ground. I hope this happens as I think it would be a great trip. Not sure how easy the planing will be but plenty of other clubs visit the island and keep going back so hopefully it gets good interest.
