  1. Still a good pic Think of the possibilitys of shots next time with gordys spy drone- I mean quad copter he is trying to smuggle through customs I don't think I can wait till next year to drive those roads again. Upto skye and back down in a day is easily possible.
  2. These are great, yeah keep firing them up; me and heidthebaw and Gordy are having a great time on this thread lol. Let's hope we never have a leaking fuel tank combined with these planned sparks! Ps- last post, 2nd pic down look ontop of the red spoiler. You can see the castle. (Pm)
  3. And for the money they cost; there was a guy doing the same in a 997! Yep- the skid pad is a good shout- should perhaps try a magnesium plate so the sparks will be green next time
  4. Cracker of that stag! It's saying; "Is that a T-Rex!!? ... No it's ok... It's just another nur spec R supra..."
  5. Btw Gordy- late reply, yes that was indeed the man in the BMW who we were talking to! He liked your style but said he thought you lost it! Cool pics. I know what you mean with the trouble disengaging race mode- I was quite early into work this week too for some reason Car had a royal spanking this week, never missed a beat and still got me to work this week afterwards. Can't say fairer than that.
  6. I think there is a regional lock on this thread Cool I'd be up for that- although we just did the ultimate track day there- sparks flying off the tarmack and everything! Still buzzing from it to be honest; the supras really were designed for roads like that, and in the dry too! Amazing. What track would it be for the track day?
  7. Looks like you're having fun mate, I'd love to do this one day
  8. Great summary, and thanks for organising it We really did seem to have the place to ourselves for miles didn't we- it was like a track day at times with better scenery. You're right about taking your eyes off the road to look at the views- I had the Jurassic park theme tune in my head more than once, as it was like traveling through the land before time, but instead of the roars of dinosaurs ripping through the Scottish valleys 200 million years ago it was 4 straight sixes roaring through the ancient landscape. Yeah the old UK spec is quite light on it's feet eh, and that was carrying the large tent and gas stove and catering. Although the black 997 eventually overtook it and disappeared into the horizon like a secret black car in a video game that is so fast you need a cheat to unlock it; I didn't feel as bad after finding out later he was an ex rally driver. I said to him at the gulf garage "I didn't want to split the convoy up, you know?" It was nice following westcoaster and sunny for a while too, there was no better backdrop to look at the rear end of a screaming supra; although I did get a cracked windscreen from following the RSP on that private runway we found towards the end of the trip! Looking forward to more media
  9. Good news and bad news. Bad news is I don't think one was caught on camera- the good news is we should have some decent go pro footage after it's tinkered with a bit
  10. Sounds brilliant mate. Think it will def happen again next year. Could even see some English/ welsh members at it the way the other thread is going.
  11. Cheers Gordy, bet you're gutted you missed out. You no doubt know these roads really well, but it's different when umpteen people coment on seeing the cars over the weekend ie a guy in the pub in dornie meantioned your roundabout drift and said he seen our cars going past dornie and they looked great. The small convoy impressed a lot of people, Expecially a load of japaneese tourists at dornie castle and some Americans who knew all about what supras are. We even had some appreciation off a 911 driver after sunny extended the club spirit to give him 2 bottles of engine oil at no charge. Oil burner porsche eh?
  12. The Scottish members would be happy to be involved in a meet and run from our southern friends, I'm sure. I can understand the motorway journey up (or down for the members that attend southern events) might not seem enjoyable at first thought, but do people realise the roads we have up here?, it would be well worth the effort to drive some of these; These ones were taken today!
  13. What a weekend, thanks to everyone who came along and made it happen, and to Sunny for creating the event. I've driven on this route before but the scenery still took my breath away with a gasp at times. It really was rediculous- the pics don't do it justice. Highlights was the start of applecross, the introduction to Skye shortly after the bridge and the dozens of postcard vantage points along the way. Stunning stuff. The camping was a bit of a sucsess due to the storm that past over night- the tent was battered buts it was built for those conditions and held up well- the expert tent erection team no doubt helped too of course! The b&b being so close made it a flexible base and I would also vote for the same trip again next year. I would have liked to have caught the ferry and tried the malaig rd but it keeps it for next time. The weather was cracking for the time of year, and the small though dramatic downpourthrough glencoe on the way home was acceptable after 2 clear days. That's it for me tonight, I'm away to moisturise my teeth and change in to my night suits. ...;p Cheers
  14. I'm writing this driving, what did you say? Joking asside we have kept a look out for them, cheers.
  15. Becoming clear why your gutted you're not coming
  16. It won't be the same without your smoke plume!
  17. Good work mate. Just been up to halfords to get a new windscreen wiper and screen wash and need to pack the car up with a few bits and bobs. Mind and take some warm clothes incase it's a cold night. And maybe take a mug if you want coffee in the morning
  18. How about all meeting at the xscape for 9ish? Keeps it simple.
  19. This was me trying to reverse out your drive Don't worry about doing the burnouts with those wheels, I stole them too ;p
