  1. Cool, we'll there is a link for b&b's in the first thread for carbost if it's of any use. P.s you have PM
  2. Cool, glad to hear it. Where do you think you will be staying the 2nd night mate? That's me got the Friday off. Just waiting to hear about Saturday Sunday
  3. Sorry about that mate, it was said on the 14th we were looking again at the dates. Is there no way to cancel the Wednesday and swap it for the weekend? I myself need a dayshift and 2 nightshifts off for this.
  4. Never in doubt It's to be an early departure on Friday, but we are aiming to meet/ stop for breakfast at the green welly services on the road up there so it might suit you timing wise to meet us there (what time are you done with school duties?) either that or catch up on route? We will be stopping in dornie too. As for the 2nd night it's an open floor, but we will more than likely be having dinner and a few drinks in the nearby hotel and there is also the potential for beers in the dome etc, however the place has concerns about large groups of guys getting rowdy so a few cans will be fine.
  5. Ok guys, SPG and myself have decided to move the trip to the weekend of the same week. Friday- Sunday 21st-23rd August Chime in please to let us know if this suits everyone better. We are committed to you all having a great time and sometimes that means being flexible
  6. That's a shame a few folk have thought it was the weekend and are now disappointed. The thinking behind it was there was a concern with the roads being a bit congested at this peak time of the season up there, with caravans blocking the roads etc and the thoughts were it would be better to avoid the weekend. However we hear you guys and appreciate the complications above just getting time off work. Leave it with us and we will make a decision on the dates soon. There will probably always be at least one day needed off for this to work though to be forewarned Tony, I've neither been to the fairy pools or old man of storr, have you? Seriously looking forward to seeing them both (individually on separate trips or together) Supra UFO, it would be an epic trip for you, that's for sure
  7. Moved to post 1, marked as update. Thanks Marcus, Great work as usual
  8. We said that last year too Tony, sometimes it's hard to keep your concentration because if the jaw dropping scenery you get continually faced with. Some good news for our route too, as a single lane section of the A82 at Loch Lomond where there were previously "temporary" traffic lights for 35 years!- has just been made a dual lane. http://m.stv.tv/news/west-central/1320105-traffic-lights-removed-from-a82-highland-road-at-pulpit-rock-after-35-years/
  9. For those who haven't been to Skye yet, or for those that love it like I do, here is an idea of what to expect when we get up there. Skye in all it's glory;
  10. From the Gulf website; "We market premium unleaded and premium diesel fuels under the Endurance brand. These grades cater for motorists who only want the very best for their cars. Whilst a niche sales opportunity, the margins can be compelling and the target market very loyal. At the top end we have our specialist fuel, Endurance 102: a premium grade, higher-octane fuel which is used at Silverstone, the home of British motor racing." Just called the gulf garage in broadford, their super unleaded is rated at 97 RON, so that will be fine for us I guess. It lets us know that between shell in Glasgow and Gulf in Skye we are pretty well covered.
  11. We'll remembered Tony; cheers for the help looking into this. We can fill up at the shell (most of us) near the x-cape on the morning we leave if needed. It might be a good idea if everyone has the same fuel level to start with (UK Spec 10 litres more but still gets same mileage as everyone else!) We can use the gulf on Skye just after the bridge as it def sells high octane fuel and the garage westcoaster suggested if needed. Might also be a tip (I'm going to try it) to keep the tank topped up in the weeks running upto it to spread the cost a bit. Ie £30 top up vs £90 fill up on the day.
  12. Good stuff guys. Numbers looking healthy already
  13. Pleased for you mate, looking forward to this myself
  14. Tony, I was in the same position as you last year mate and I was desperate to go but couldn't commit to anything at all around the date of the birth. Jessica was born at the end of June and I managed to make it after seeing how things settled down for a couple of months. We will keep you a slot as an exception due to knowing the position you are in. If you can make it closer to the time then great and if you can't then there is no pressure to commit as you will have no clue until the baby is born. Bet you make it though; and stretch the new built cars legs
  15. Good to see a few familiar faces and a few new ones showing strong interest. Make no mistake, this will be epic

  18. I've been to bed and back up, so prob missed you say that ;p Mayweather doesn't look like a guy about to make $180,000,000 does he? Emotionless. Pacquiao on the other hand is polar opposite in every sense. - - - Updated - - - The one with the badges on the hat?
