Thanks for the update Graham, and for the info on the b&b availability in Dornie which is as follows There are a couple of rooms left at Caberfeidh Guest House, so get booking if you want a b&b for the 1st night as it's where to stay. It's reasonably cheap at around £32 per person per night and there are only five rooms. An alternative, all be it more overpriced option is Dornie hotel , expect to pay about £75 p/night.

Sorry to hear about this, it's enough to put you on a downer about the disrespect shown to JB and the club as a whole. Hopefully getting stung by one bad apple won't ruin it for others in future who would appreciate the kind gesture of a loan of a supra to make the trip. I'm sure there are still enough good guys amongst us for it to have been an unfortunate one off. It sounds like it fell into the wrong hands, but when you trust people at face value you feel betrayed after things like this happen. Still think the success of the event and the great club spirit to make the car available should outweigh the negatives. There are still lots who appreciate the effort.

I think it's safe to add westcoaster too seeing as he has already booked his b&b's 1. SPG (camping & hostel) 2. Marcus GTE +1 (campineg & hostel) 3. Supraman (camping & hostel) 4. Jn.shaw (camping & hostel) 5. Heedthebaw (camping & hostel) 6. Westcoaster +1 (b&b both nights) Anyone else bringing a +1? Scott, did you get any joy with bookings on Friday that you last spoke about?

I hope McLaren are on the up, but I suspect their points finish was to do with Monaco being a circuit that doesn't always reward horsepower, so the playing field was levelled a bit for them.

Good effort Ryan

That tunnel was even longer than the runway in f&f 6! Was that from an NSX? Cool video. If you had in the video title it was a supra, NSX & GTR tunnel run it would probably go semi viral!

Cool, you'd be very welcome Some event to choose for your first trip too! Where abouts are you?

The speed, to me says it's the limiter- 120mph for jspec and 155mph for uk spec I believe. Is this not bypassed by pulling the trac fuse? Not that I'd recommend that! (No joke)

If you want to camp the first night and stay in the Skyewalker hostel the second then you don't need to book, we will do a group booking. It's only people that want to stay in a b&b that have to book themselves. You'll pay a deposit for your diggs, day trip and ferry (probably going to be £100 -£30 for diggs, £30 for trip, £30 for ferry and £10 for breakfast both mornings) and that's you Will I put your name down then?
-
Is it feasible you are going to attend?
-
How about getting a list of attendees going now, final details on deposit costs will be put up soon also. I'll start 1.SPG (camping & hostel) 2. Marcus GTE (camping & hostel) 4. 5. 6 7.

Some of you may already know that our good friend Ross has returned from his year long trip to Canada, and to welcome him home the same way we sent him off I'm organising a Karting night in cambuslang, glasgow to mark his return. Thinking it will be a week night to make it easy for most and also budget in £30 for the event. Ill probably need deposits through PayPal once we get numbers. I reckon we should aim for 3 weeks away to drum up interest and still be far enough to have the date available to book, so lets see if we can get the ball rolling and finalised by the end of the week How about Wednesday night the 10th June? 1. I thought I would share some details of what is being looked at attraction wise on Skye at the moment. We have the option of traveling to Elgol for a power boat ride through the cullin mountains and spotting wildlife, including seals, occasional dolphins and sometimes even whales/ whale sharks. The trip is £28 per head and the boat takes 12. There are other options additionally being arranged that will include a more laid back tourist attraction involving a walk to get to it; namely the fairy pools or old Man of storr. The boat trip takes about 1 & 1/2 hours and details on it can be found here; http://aquaxplore.co.uk/index.shtml A show of interest would be helpful to deside if we go ahead and book this as the price would be added to the deposit taken in for bookings before we go. It can be an optional extra as if we go ahead with it but not everyone wants to go, they are free to use their time as they wish for a few hours. Personally I think it looks great. (From their website) TRIP 2) ISLE OF SOAY, CUILLIN MOUNTAINS & SEALS (duration c. 1 ½ hours) For visitors with less time - an exhilarating, fun trip for wildlife and sightseeing - Visit Prince Charles' Cave, then on to the Isle of Soay looking out for basking sharks, dolphins, sea-eagles and porpoises as we travel along. Pause to view Gavin Maxwell's old Basking Shark Station (tidal restrictions sometimes apply) before sailing on into the heart of the dramatic Cuillin mountains. Visit the resident colony of harbour (or common) seals hauled out on the rocks in this stunning setting. Then see Camasunary and Glen Scaladale on the return trip to Elgol. TRIP TIMES: Morning (10.30am) Afternoon (From 12.15pm) NB: Please telephone prior to the day of your trip to confirm departure times

Glad you got booked up Graham. Gordy, the b&b mentioned above in dornie is right across from the camp site and there are 1 or 2 more in dornie should you need one. The 2nd night the Skyewalker hostel is actually in portnalong on Skye. Carbost is a 7 min drive away and has more accommodation options but for your and I'm thinking Scott's info (if traveling with your full family Scott) there is a hotel in portnalong, £45 pppn. And taigh ailean hotel http://www.taighailean.scot/

I'm sorry to see that this has came into difficulties. I have been busy with SPG organising the 2nd trip to Applecross and Skye in august 21st-23rd fri-sun) All I want to say is that if it is likely this event isn't going ahead, and there is still an appetite to come up for a blast about in Scotland, we would be happy to welcome anyone who is interested to our trip to Applecross. The dates and spots are set and the fine details are still being finalised, including final options for attractions on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a deposit of in the region of £60 needed at some point to confirm bookings. This event does see some long driving stretches, in particular day one from Glasgow is 250 miles and about 7&1/2 hours driving (with stops) so people coming up from England will need to account for an early start on the Friday and possibly need to stay the Thursday night if not setting off very early to meet up on the Friday morning. The trip takes in some of the best driving roads in Scotland and sees us staying between campsites and b&b's (b&b first come first served basis) and a hostel/ b&b's in Skye the 2nd night. Full details can be found here. If interested please comment early on the thread so we can accommodate numbers at the earliest opportunity. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?322290-Applecross-Invasion-2015-(August-21st-23rd) Please believe me that in no way is this an attempt at an event hijack- if run for the border is carried forward then all the better. If not, it makes things a little more challenging if everyone comes on the Applecross trip, but we would try our best to make it work. It has been great to see the enthusiasm from Southern members to come up, so this might give you an option if the original plans fall through is all. Peace
