  1. Just thought of this, back when Toyota displayed the MKIV Supra on stands at motor shows in the UK in or around '94/'95 it was a silver UK Spec that they used. So it's quite fitting to me that it's another Silver Supra on show once again.
  2. Anyone else remember this first left turn in the video from last years trip? A real take your breath away/ watch the road moment
  3. Cheers dudes I think it's made it feel like a proper garden now. The old layout was confusing and frustrating and wasn't a good use of space. There will be a swing going in and a plastic play house going up. For the play house I'm thinking about replacing the turf on the outline of the house with AstroTurf. As I expect the grass to not do very well under it. Not even heartburn from leaning over so much today stopped me from cracking open a cold Stella and admiring the view
  4. Nearly finished! Today was more work than I anitcipated, but was well worth the effort. Mixing in sand with the topsoil in an attempt to rake the ground level. I should have spent more time fine tuning this bit but it's done now. Turf arriving late. Turfing begins! My dad putting in an outdoor double socket for the top loader beer cooler. New lawn laid I missed a bit!! I'll sort it later. Nearly guessed the amount right.
  5. Fantastic! Can't wait for more pics and updates. Really cool
  6. Sounds good Gordy Taking payment from another member tomorrow. Remember the ticket hotline closes on 1st of July! What do we think about items to take? I've bought a dry powder fire extinguisher Cable ties Also taking a tool kit. It's been suggested that it might be a good idea to take a full size alloy instead of the space saver. If people are only taking the space saver- how many of you actually carry the right wheel nuts in the boot if you were to need to fit one??
  7. Thanks I confess though it was a mate I got in to operate the digger, he was an expert. I could have never done all that in one day so think it was a smart move. He commented on the no mans land I have at the back fence and it's got me thinking about using it. It's meant to be if you use it for 10 years without complaint then it's yours. That or I could potentially buy it. Thinking a huge shed or block building without taking up any garden footprint would be amazing. Wee wood burner in there, maybe a bar and a TV.... (never happening)
  8. Good progress made today Hole for soak away and drainage dug out. I arranged a grab that worked out great! Same money as a skip, took more than one would take , and no wheelbarrowing anything out to the front of the house Drainage being packed in. Next job is to take out any remaining rocks, put some sand down and take it all level then turf it. Oh and put the back fence back on! Really pleased with it so far!
  9. "Yes.. And if we get phase 3 complete before June we will be underbudget by...Oh!!.. A digger!!"- fast show bit we're he runs off to play with the digger while visiting the site. Thanks for the tip! I'll have a word with my mate in the morning. I've arranged for a grab to uplift the excess late on tomorrow afternoon so it might be an idea to scrap the old lawn rather than burying it based on what you've said.
  10. Cheers It won't be anything extravagant, just a nice level lawn for my wee girl to be able to grow up playing on safely. The pond does look cool, not toddler friendly though so not able to steal his idea! Had a wee go in it, it was good fun and nobody died!... Which was nice.
  11. So tomorrow the project really gets going. After being messed about trying to get someone with a micro digger on gum tree, it turns out I know someone who's father in law owns a company that hires them. He recommended a bigger machine for the amount of digging involved, so went with his advice. I've had to take my back fence off to get it in, but should mean it takes less time & I only have to pay 1 days hire. Hopefully by tomorrow the garden will be levelled (with some banking at the drop) and I'll also have a herring bone drain installed.
  12. I just saw his tweet. The TFI Friday the other night actually showed me I doubt he will be very good, to start at least. Maybe after he finds his feet he will be ok. I'll give him a chance. I'd like to see Chris Harris get a co presenter job. I think people won't miss the old trio when they realise it's the big budget that made it different to other car shows.
  13. Try and ask some questions about the new car if you can To me it's 100% confirmed now that this (or a version of it) will be the new Supra and we will see it being called that after asking for a MKiv to sit next to it, that and renewing the Supra trademark for the 2nd time recently. You could be in the position to tease out one or two world exclusives! Juicy
