  3. Yep, plenty. Off the bat thee is the assent on the road to Applecross- it's very dramatic, the car park overlooking Ellen Dornie castle, the car park on the road into sky where there is a large car park in a 360o view of paradise. Plus countless others.
  4. Cool, no problem. Cheers. The plan to do with the trips on Saturday is to do a walking trip in the morning/ early afternoon then lunch and the boat trip in the afternoon about 3ish. After that we can head to check in to our diggs then head to the local pub/hotel for dinner and a few drinks
  5. No probs mate, see you at the green welly. We will be meeting west coaster there so keep an eye out for him. (Red supra) We are hoping to be leaving there around 10am
  6. £115 recieved Scott, cheers Post #5 updated
  7. Silverstone, wow I'm jealous. We should totally do a club trip one year! There's an idea! PayPal is to [email protected] please. Cheers
  8. Gordy, ticket money refunded and deadline extended while PayPal sort you out. It was my typo so don't want you out of pocket on my account
  9. Sweet The one we have is an 8 man tent and with yours being upto a 12 man tent I think we should be well covered for space now Cool, that was good you managed to get a babysitter. What's the connection with the tent/ GP weekend? So do you and the mrs want to do the boat trip on the Saturday afternoon with us? If so with ferry cost it comes to £115 (£30 each for boat trip, £10 each for camping on first night, £35 for you & Mrs and car on the ferry) If no to boat trip it's minus £60 so it's £55 for ferry and camping.
  10. Spoke to the site today they are fine with the two tents and are phoning back later to confirm details.
  11. Gordy is correct mate, Bronze + guest is ferry crossing for you, your car and a passenger. No accommodation or speed boat trip included. The b&b both nights is for you to arrange and pay for yourself. £35 in total. Scott M managed to get a b&b for the Saturday night only yesterday, but as I previously said it is a busy time of year. Scott is also bringing another large tent and is bringing his Mrs. He offered the extra space in the tent up, so it would be reasonable to suggest you could share the "couples tent" on the Friday night (if that's cool with him of course, which I'm sure it would be) if you can't find a b&b, leaving you only Saturday to find somewhere (might have to look at the surrounding area for a b&b if there are no vacancies immediately nearby) GUYS THE HOSTEL IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. Gordy has taken the last two spaces. We had a maximum of 8 spaces available to us. The explanation for this is a strange one; basically over 8 in a group is classed as a commercial booking with different T&C's, including the requirement for everyone in the group being over 35 years old. I think they want to restrict stag doo type behaviour if you catch my drift- as it has the potential to put off foreign tourists. This is something we can hopefully work with them on for next year, assuming we give a good account of ourselves on our stay. They frown against trying to work around the rule too, so seperate bookings knowing you will meet up with friends counts towards the allocation of a group size of 8. I've spoken to the boat trip company today and they still have the space to accommodate us so once I have final numbers through ticket purchases I'll make final arrangements there
  12. No probs Gordy Oh dear, sounds expensive ;( On the plus side yeah DJI Phantom 2! Do it do it!
  13. Scott, glad to see you're making it along will it be just the 2 of you? I'll get back to you about the tent once I speak to the campsite. If you let me know how many there are and who's going on the boat trip (if at all) I'll work out what you owe and book you onto the ferry and trip Heidthebaw paid, platinum ticket. Attendee list updated on post #5
  14. Jn.shaw paid- platinum ticket Attendee list moved to post 5 & updated.
  15. Car looks great and not out of place in the expensive company There was a posh school in glasgow that made the paper a few years ago for taking the entrances to extremes when instead of limos and sports cars it became the norm to arrive by helicopter! It was part of the story that the school banned them being used after it was causing chaos.
  16. That's great he got so much enjoyment from it. Good work
  17. You could see Richard squirming thought the studio bits as the realisation kicked in that without being under Clarkstons wing on the program he is rather exposed. I actually felt a bit sad about the situation, but Clarkston has to live with the consequences of what he did, he was also previously warned and warned over various things so it was a matter if time before he was sacked. I hope it lives on and is good with Chris Evans.
  18. Lol my sister who works in hospitality was surprised to see it also she informed me that it's a "double dump fridge with a double speed rail" and they are quite expensive. I got it as a hand me down from the in laws 40th wedding aniversary party after whoever they got it from didn't want it back. It says koppaberg on the back and all I know is it chilled my beer in 20 min colder than it comes out the fridge after a week!
  19. Here you go, cause I'm that kinda guy Bit of autosol on the top there. Just the job
  20. Cheers, it was nice sitting out last night having a beer looking at it. Thanks for the tip. I've watered it a lot over the first 3 days and we have had a torrential downpour in the last 2 days that wouldn't have been out of place in the tropics. It's had so much I'm now worried i'll over water it as in one place in the middle it's very squishy underneath. I've been on it a few times to poke it into place here and there. If I was to do it again I'd have spent more time laying it and changed technique, but that's with the benefit of experience now. Once today is passed I'll get some fertilizer spread onto it.
  21. Thanks. That's it done! Having family over for my wee girls first birthday and as luck would have it it's the one day of the week where it's to be nice Here's hoping.
  22. SPG & Ross C now paid. Both platinum tickets. Post one updated.
  23. Cool, bear in mind b&b's for the two of you may be now in short supply (if you weren't camping- and I'd guess if you were you would need a tent for you both instead of staying in the main one with all guys-/ using the hostel) as this is less than 2 months away now. You will have until 1/7/15 to decide and purchase tickets. Details on page 1 Oh and "wow" is exactly what I said in the car out loud when I saw what was over the crest in that first turn in the video. It felt like the world was falling away in front of you if that makes sense. Also cursed myself that the go pro wasn't on.
