  1. Gutted for you mate. Hope everything works out for getting it repaired or replaced. Seen a drunk driver crash into a centre island fence and veer off the rd accross the pavement taking out a junction box on his way the other week. There was a bus stop with kids at the other side of the rd. These idiots don't care if they take a life. He was a young guy and his family showed up at the scene and his dad assaulted him as he was getting out the ambulance Is the car likely to be a write off? I know I was once given the option on another car I had where they said they couldn't get bumper clips so we're prepared to make me an offer to write it off and I was able to say no, just do your best. Ended up a good job. Good luck
  2. Delay was due to them being on holiday from then until now Cheers for getting in contact with them though
  3. Congratulations on the new car and welcome to the club Looks lovely. Be careful with getting used to it as this time of year the roads aren't ideal
  4. As stated, these are nearly £1k new. To me it doesn't look to be in too bad shape- a few bent fins from bits and bobs hitting it but none are missing or falling out. If it was mine I'd be looking for at least £400. 2nd hand and in used condition, and also less than half price (not to mention if you wanted one you have to wait for it to be made to order) I would also recommend reading up on them a bit to learn the benefits and keep it
  5. Quality! You were bitten by the supra bug at first sight too it seems Amazing how after 10 years the styling is only just starting to look dated. The supra looks brand new though I wonder if that car is still in the club?
  6. You can make out the end of the word "supra" under the Lexus sign. That's where the tv with the demonstration video was and you can see a crowd gathering round it. I'd also like to find a pic of what was written on the windscreen. I seem to remember maybe taking a pic of it.
  7. Yep, I've seen them in white with black seats. Looks amazing
  8. Cheers guys, it was a great find Oh and someone pointed out I look like Daniel Larusso from the karate kid in the picture lol
  9. I agree that the black leather is the interior to have (luckily that's what I've got) and the colour combination is pretty unusual to me. Seeing a supra as a wee guy sure has an impression on you doesn't it That's good to know mate, didn't know that. Did you know that the colour code 199 silver used to be called "flagship silver" ? Makes sense as it's the colour they chose here to show it off to the public for the first time. I think I actually commented on your Goodwood thread at the time to say that having your car on the stand, being silver, was pretty authentic due to me seeing this all that time ago. Now here is the proof!
  10. That's bad news for them, but you have to be impressed by how dignified they have been in their statement about loosing a 30 year old sponsor partnership. I couldn't help noticing how petulant Hamilton is now. On the podium he didn't congratulate Nico once and just slagged the track off. As a driver he is amoungst the best but I now find I'm loosing the love towards him.
  11. I know! I've got the black leather version and I understand it's not as common as UK's with cream.
  12. I was just sent this rough snap of this picture of me at the Scottish Car show when I was 10 with a car that I fell in love with at first sight. I remember I was gutted that it was locked, but there was a video on the stand of the active spoiler working while it was moving etc. So spooky that 18 years later from when this was taken (1992?) I own nearly the same car in a silver UK Spec. Talk about leaving an impression!!
  13. Edit- change of plan so post removed.
  14. Exciting developments to be announced on the trip soon.
  15. Love it, and great to see it being so well looked after Hope you have years of enjoyment from it
  16. Appologies Craig, from your post it didn't seem certain that you wanted your name down, what with you also meantioning that you may have problems attending. That's you now on the reserve list and I'm sure if you keep a keen eye on the thread you might see a space pop up. (Perhaps click subscribe) As I've said already, this trip is quite a long way away. By the time deposits are being taken people's circumstances may have changed
  17. Hi Bob, no problem, that's you on the reserve list as 1st reserve. I'd keep an eye out for this thread later on because it's not 100% that the 15 on the list will all make it
  18. Great! The two of you will need to get involved in the speed boat trip etc that we did last year. We try and get out the cars every now and again and it helps break up the driving
  19. Ha, yeah, I wonder if people just need to get that out their system because they mostly come back to another supra Good idea, most of ours can be found on last years show thread/ videos but we should have a line up once deposits are in
  20. Good stuff mate, another English member on board If you thought your trip was good last year you're in for a treat. I've saw some top 5 or top 10 roads in Scotland articles this last week, and we hit about 70% of them in this one trip! Good to see your name down James, if it's not the best road trip you've ever been on you can have your money back
