Can't say mine does a violent jerk that you mention. Perhaps the revs would be slightly higher if it's a cold morning? Resulting in the same effect if you pressed the accelerator slightly. ^above post just seen

Are you pressing the foot brake, selecting drive and then releasing the brake?

To me the real mkv supra was the LFA. Toyota must have been close to launching the mkiv under Lexus brand in the first place as it was surrounded by a Lexus feel when it was launched, with Lexus branding right next to the supra when it was first launched and displayed at car shows. It pretty much looked like it was called the Lexus Supra from the way they set up the branding. The supra was also only available through Lexus branches, not Toyota showrooms. Perhaps having made the Lexus Soarer already under the brand they felt it would be best suited to develop that platform to sit as the flagship of the Toyota brand. They had a sporty line up back then with the Mr2 and celica so it made sense. It seems like in reecent times it has been Lexus that spearheaded the sporty cars (until very recently where it looks to be changing again). My point being that the supra was the best car Toyota could make with all of its might at the time of production. Only the same can be said of the LFA in succession from the same company. It was made with the same spirit; something I doubt can be said for the ft-1 if it ever shows its head. (Even though I love it)

I'll take the Dash air vent please -
Engine bay matches the car I think you're right about US Spec supras holding a higher price than imports once they come over; I suspect folk over there will still prefer a left hand drive car.

Hi Kyle, welcome! Nice clean looking supra you have there What do you think about the chat on the thread about supra prices going up and the anticipated rush from the US to buy supras once the window for importing them over opens? (Out of interest from someone on the other side)

I use photochoppro although I find I have to screenshot the final image and crop it because the saved image is lesser quality than when you view when saving Also heard people liking layer pic

That's a beautiful looking car isn't it

Awesome, glad to hear it Sorry if it was a false alarm, I'm at work but before I left I couldn't get online as the network was down and searched Twitter and it's full of PSN down chat etc. Great news if it's either been fixed/ or it was a prank.
-
Yeah that's the same group that seem to be claiming responsibility. Them and anonymous. Glad yours is working! I think you'll be in the minority, so enjoy it! Check Twitter. If last year is anything to go by it was up and down before it was fixed. Hopefully they are better prepared to sort it this time.

Sorry to break the news but the PSN & Xbox live have been hacked again and have been taken down for the 2nd year in a row. Lots of dissapointed kids tomorrow morning when they realise they can't get online. The groups that do this are nothing better than criminals.

Really happy with it actually. I like both of them although I'd be sorry if it meant an end to Chris Harris on cars.

I guess it could seem sad to some, then again so could us obsessing over a 20year old car or building your own radios -
Hi and welcome Great looking car. I love how clean it looks stock It's pretty much the same model I have, although I've not yet had the need to remove the 155mph limiter. I understand your dilemma about wanting to keep the Traction Control active as its meant to be superior to the j-spec version although still not perfect (I always leave mine on but it can catch you out pulling away from junctions if there are things like loose stones on the rd) If you can't find the rare part you are after, you could maybe look into race logic traction control? Not sure if it would just have the same problem though. Other option is an aftermarket ECU but that could be expensive. Good luck with the search, and I might have a profec b spec 2 that I'm going to sell if I ever get round to it so keep an eye out

Late to the party, but here goes: Saw it on Friday and I loved it. I've been buzzing like crazy after how good the trailers felt and looked and the film didn't disappoint. In summary it was the film the fans needed to see to get the franchise back on track after the prequels (I quite liked the 3rd one- probably because it was extensively reworked to try and appease fan anger at the previous 2) Not too much to dislike so I'll start with that: The tenticle monsters looked TV quality and thankfully it wasn't a sign of things to come. I felt hans "event" (incase this bit is showing on front page) was kind of brushed off a bit, even though it's obviously a huge deal, but I realise how much they were trying to cram in and more will no doubt be made of it in episode VIII. Captain Phasma was a pretty weak character after all the hype. (The costume was a concept originally for Kylo Ren and JJ Abrams liked it so much he wanted to include it. It shows that she was really just there to look cool and was written in as an after thought. ) The whole Death Star thing again- I don't know. Supreme leader Snoke- I was terrified at first he was a giant so I was relieved when I realised it was just a big hologram but I didn't see the need for him to be CGI (apparently because the concept art of his face was to complicated to do it any other way) but I've not really bought into him yet; I get that this film is really just setting the stage for the story to be told but the First order definitely aren't as intimidating as the old Empire before them were. Best bits I can remember: The bit where Rey and Fin are running to the ship and they dismiss a "junk heap" (or close to it) in favour for the ship that gets blown up as they are runing to it, and then take their reluctant 2nd option. Great way to introduce the falcon and caught me completely off guard. How good is Reys character? Daisy Ridley nailed it and you can feel the untamed power "awakening" within her while Adam drivers terrified face as kylo Ren is shocked at how powerful she is. Loved her story line. I've been cringing at all of John Boyegas press work in the run up as he comes accross very annoying imo, but he completely won me over as Fin and had on screen charisma that didn't look out of place next to Harrison ford; no mean feat. I liked that he wasn't the focus of the story like everyone thought he would be (all the images of him holding a lightsabre were to hide the real story that it's Rey that's the force sensitive character. ) The feel of it felt authentic and the real sets and filming locations really made it feel special and sucked you into the world with ease. BB8 is really cool, he's got just as much character as R2-D2 while being his own thing. He added to the comedy factor as all Star Wars droids have done previously, but I also enjoyed the humour between the characters (it stretched the limit on how much it could get away with I agree) I loved the bit where when on the ice planet Han turns to chewie and says "oh, you're cold" Poe Dameron was great too, his facing upto Kylo Ren at the start was ace. The shot of Han walking into the bridge with Ben Solo (as he is really at that point) where the light is shining on them is a gorgeous shot, and one that is fitting for Hans end. I really kept swaying from what I thought was going to happen when he was saying that he was being torn apart and asks Han for his help and holds out his lightsabre. At the first moment I played it out being very cold, just switching it on and it going through him, Bens face not even flinching; but then when he extends his lightsabre to Han I'm thinking he's asking him to help him kill himself to stop him being consumed by the dark side- only to see his grip tighten and his decision being made at that moment. I liked how it was so telegraphed but still got me doubting it would happen. (Don't know of anyone else in the small number of people I've spoken to about it that read it that way) I'm looking forward to seeing Rey being trained and Kylo being trained also for round 2 as they are both rough round the edges at the moment (I liked that about both of them) The expanded universe: Although it's true they have been officially not recognised in the timeline of the films; they have had an influence on them. The Knights of Ren are from the EU and so is Luke starting a Jedi Temple to train a new generation of Jedi. Points of interest: The rule of two. This relates to the fact that there can only ever be 2 Syth; a master that holds power and an apprentice who craves it. Supreme leader Snoke has some serious credentials to fulfil in the next film if he's to be taken seriously. I think Kylo Ren plays the part of the petulant apprentice really well. Temper tantrums and all. In the flashback scene where Rey touches Luke's lightsabre (formally Anikin's and it's now found her- meaning I'm pretty sure she will be lukes daughter) there are voice overs of Ben kenobi, which is actually Ewan Mcgreggors voice as he was asked to record a voice over for the part- and also the voice that says "Rey you've taken your first steps" is actually Alec Guinness (who is obviously dead). They used a recording of him explained here by JJ: I said, ‘That’s cool, is that the thing from Ewan McGregor?’ He said ‘No, we took a line from Alec Guinness saying ‘Afraid.’ They cut it, and you hear the performance – he’s saying it the way I would have begged Alec Guinness to have said it. It is so crazy perfect. So when you hear Obi-Wan talk to Rey it is both Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor doing the voice.” Frank Oz also re recorded dialogue for yodas voice over but it was decided to re use original dialogue from the original films. I think based on this and Kylo Rens obsession with Vader we will hear James Earl Jones return as the Voice of Darth Vader when talking to him in episode VIII. It's roumoured that Daniel Craig is the storm trooper that Rey mind controls to escape. (He's inside the suit) When Harrison Ford had the door of the Millennium Falcon break his leg, JJ Abrams broke his lower back trying to lift it off him and kept it secret for months. Wow. I got into that and didn't stop!- I could keep going. It was great -

My dads 2jz in his Lexus GS300 has 240,000 miles on it and it's not uncommon to hear of higher mileage examples. I'd be taking into account extra wear and tear when viewing it but it looks great, and one visit to Toyota would have its full Toyota service history printed out
