  1. No probs, looking forward to it too, it's so close! We had a planning meeting last night and it starts getting the juices flowing for it Here is where we will get you (the letter's SO (soar) to the left of the red pin is the premier inn for a landmark)
  2. Hi Shawn, we are meeting at 7am in the car park of the Xscape at "soar into braehead" shopping centre across from the premier inn. Address is kings inch rd, Glasgow G51 4BN. There will be updates to the thread in the next week or so while things are being polished in the background
  3. I had a peak at the samples tonight. They look fantastic
  4. I can see me ordering a polo, mug and umbrella. I'll sort a PM out
  5. Not much of a deterrent if the purpose of it is the promise to shoot back at someone after we are all gone, by then the damage is done. Surely there could be an agreement with allies like the USA and France that if the UK is attacked then they retaliate for us, and in return contribute something to their programs or alternatively return to strategic silos, which would be significant savings over a missile system that we are already relyant on America providing us with. There are calls to have Trident removed from Scotland, I support that. And the comment about withholding ship building contracts seems like playground politics coming from an adult. Never mind that they have been based there for a generation, discount that service in a heartbeat, and not to meantion that all the previous nuclear subs are banked up in Scotland awaiting their reactors to be decommissioned and radio active waste to be disposed of. I read that the proposed site in Portsmouth is it? Was deemed not suitable on the grounds that it was too close to a populated area. Interesting, Glasgow is one of the UK's biggest city's and it's OK for it to be 30 miles away. £100bn+ could be used much better imo on public services that are on their knees after years of Tory cuts and to equip us to better combat terrorism which is the real threat right now.
  6. Some impact! Driver can't have been really bad as the firefighters had time to perform a roof removal to protect his spine from further damage. They would have dragged him out if he was bad enough.
  7. Thanks, I didn't look Looks lovely. I'd say north of £17k anyway
  8. They are hard to find, and when they come up they command a premium. Have you any pics? Ivory or black interior?
  9. I've read that the right rear of the supra is the lightest corner so it can sit higher due to that reason.
  10. Did the USDM supra not have rear quarter running lights? That's pretty much a UK spec underneath minus headlight washers.
  11. Moral of the story is have replacements ready before you start the job Toyota are charging £80 odd each for front drop links, even the parts guy at Toyota said it was mental. I got 2 non oem ones that are meant to rival oem quality from tcb parts for under £50.
  12. Try Lancaster, all bpu mods declared (restricted miles) £270. I get that you want to do more miles and use the car to commute (I'm covered for that too) but it's a good starting point. For the record my previous insurer admiral were always cheap for me (from main stream insurance ie not classic etc) until saying they can't cover fitting a boost controller.
  13. Really good guide I fitted my new coilovers last night using it and it helped massively. It took me a while to deal with the drop links as the mole grips weren't holding them- possibly because of residual grease from the ball joint on the shaft, and in the end just cut them. A tip on cutting the drop links- you need to cut on the nut side not the middle of the top joint as there is a lip on the pin that will prevent it from coming out. Not that I did that of course I was closer to 7 hours than 5, (more like 9) but I was doing it myself and probably tried too long fighting the drop links before cutting.
  14. It sounds to me like the bolt you undid was perhaps one of the 4 that holds the caliper together? That would explain it leaking.
  15. Hey Kurk, perhaps test fitting your stock 16's will let you know if the problem is with the suspension. It would also give you a chance to inspect the shocks for any leaks
  16. Just watched last nights episode there and I've noticed Chris Evans has just quit. I don't even think they need to replace him as Le Blanc and chris Harris could do a good job leading it. From BBC Chris Evans has announced he is leaving his role as a presenter on Top Gear after one series. He tweeted: "Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough. "I feel like my standing aside is the single best thing I can now do to help the cause. His resignation comes after falling ratings for the show - which hit a series low on Sunday night, with an average of 1.9 million viewers. Evans joined Top Gear after last year's departure of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. Clarkson was fired from the show after he punched a producer following a row about the provision of food late at night while filming on location. Evans was later signed up to front the new series alongside with former Friends actor Matt LeBlanc. Perry McCarthy, the original Top Gear Stig, told the BBC: "It's sad for Chris but personally I was expecting such an announcement, I wasn't expecting it this quickly but I did think that Chris would step down from it. "Chris is an enormously popular radio presenter and TV show host but he hasn't quite gelled with this show, he's not really gelling with the viewers. "It must be a little bit painful for him to receive this reaction from everybody and I don't think he'd want to continue, I probably wouldn't want to continue if I was getting constant criticism either." Writing on Twitter, Evans said he would continue with his other BBC commitments, including presenting the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show. "Full steam ahead then with Radio 2, CarFest, Children In Need, 500 Words and whatever else we can dream up in the future," he said. In a statement released via the BBC, Evans added: "I have never worked with a more committed and driven team than the team I have worked with over the last 12 months. "I remain a huge fan of the show, always have been, always will be." It is not yet clear whether the other presenters will return for the next series.
