1. I do plenty of shooting. We've got our own gunsmiths though, they're called the REME!
2. I'm with a German insurer specialising in HM forces. I pay 600 euros a year with no no-claims, and I'm 25. So glad I'm based in Germany! As the best quote I got over here was 1600 GBP with Adrian Flux. I get ADAC breakdown cover included in that price aswell! So if you want it really cheap join the Army and get stationed in Germany! Real consumer advice that!
3. 100 deg C for 5 mins. Just used plastikote primer and paint, 3 layers of each. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=153261&highlight=headlight+sealant I used this as a guide
4. I just reheated the sealant that was on there, then went around it after with a bead of silicone. Fingers crossed that should be enough, hasn't rained yet though!
5. Will it affect air flow to the radiator if I put it underneath? I'm off to Germany soon so I'm putting a German metal one on once I'm there, I think they're a bit smaller than UK ones.
6. This is the reason I put this thread up, to give people confidence, as I am relatively inexperienced with things like this. So if I can do it, anyone can!
7. Yes mate the skirts are at the very top of my list of priorities! Closely followed by new rims, new front end and eventually a new rear wing (Was thinking about GT carbon one though)
8. Yeah that is what I've done! Bloody well hope so anyway, took all day!
9. Cheers guys, so glad I discovered this forum, otherwise I'd have either forked out for new lights, or had crap looking ones for the rest of my days!
10. Just thought I'd show off my hard work from today. For any novices out there like me this is a pretty easy job to start off with! Before... During... After... Pretty good day altogether!
11. yeah wheels are going to go as soon as I can afford some decent new ones! Has anyone on here ever put Dotz roadsters on their supra? They're my favourite choice so far.
12. wow! Is the stock one definitely the best choice? even with an aftermarket exhaust system on?
13. Yeh I'm defo after getting some side skirts, preferably before I go over to live in Germany in 2 weeks time. Need to get myself a mop aswell methinks!
14. The bonnet thing was a bit weird actually. At first I couldn't figure out why it was like that. but then I took it in my hands while it was up and just pulled down on the left and up on the right slightly and then put it down and it was straight, as you can see in the last few pics. I think someone probably just had it propped open in the wind and it had bent slightly. There's no structural damage or anything.
15. Yeah I've already done it mate, using exactly that method! Took hours!
16. I used a hairdryer on the dragons, but they left all the glue behind underneath. was a right pain in the @rse to remove. Raining at the mo, but I might give it a go later on.
17. I've t-cutted her to death believe it or not! This seems to be as good as the paintwork will get, hence the respray!
18. I quite like the body kit personally, so I think that will be staying on there. I still need to get rid of the decal on the back but it's reeeeeally tough! And after that I'll be getting a respray done once I'm in Germany. I'm lucky enough to have a friend over there who owns a spray shop so I'll just have to pay for materials, and i'll do the prep myself. haven't decided on a colour yet. Want something original, but not chavvy, so any suggestions would be appreciated!
19. Hi, Some of you may remember me from a couple of weeks ago, I was thinking about getting a supra from Bolton. Well to cut a long story short I went up there, had a good look, following the advice given to me on here, and went ahead and bought it. I'm back down in Tidworth now and so far I've had no problems at all, she drives really well. So Its just aesthetic problems that I'm working on to begin with. Well here she is anyway: As you can see there's a dent which shouldn't be too much of a problem for my dent puller once I get round to it! And them bloody decals have left a shadow behind, but I'll be getting a respray once I get to Germany anyway, so not too bothered about that.
20. Yeh I got it, might put some pics up in a bit now I've got them god damn dragons off!
21. Hi, just thought I'd show everyone my first attempt at polishing engine parts. This is my HKS induction pipe and it was looking a bit old so I thought I'd give it a going over with a mouse sander first of all, and then some wet and dry paper, finishing off with some rubbing compound and some metal polish. It's nowhere near as good as it could be but getting it to this stage alone took about 3 hours and my hand started going numb after that! http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab111/9670black/polishing%20engine%20parts/IMG00866.jpg[img]

[img]http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab111/9670black/polishing%20engine%20parts/IMG00867.jpg Hope to do more parts when I have more time/strength in my arms!
22. If any members are based in Germany with the british forces then you could send it to them using the parcelforce BFPO service. Costs the same as sending a parcel within the UK. info here: http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/content1?catId=4600021&mediaId=3800105
23. Yeh it made quite a few Germans laugh aswell! But I liked it
