  3. moreish because a hot tattooed lady drivin a Dodge Ram delivered it or because you enjoy it?
  4. another essex member! welcome
  5. if i had the money for a lambo, i wudnt sit on my ass all day. Part of buying a car like a lambo is cleaning the beauty Would be in my case anyway.
  6. why would you pay 5 grand for some kid to clean your car. If you owned a lambo, you would surley want to clean it yourself!
  7. I should be picking up my Supra sometime next week, if when i see it this saturday its all legit, so put my name down as TBC 1.bradleyh_15-eastborne area 2.TJP-kent area/lakeside 3. scottc998 Heathfield area 4. supralad Essex area (maybe) 5.
  8. lol. arn't hybrid turbos mainly for diesels?
  9. In the end no, rather stick to unmodded car (at the moment anyway) so i can put on the mods myself
  10. I will do thanks. If anyone is available tonight could you inbox me, would be greatful. Would rather see the car with someone who has a knowledge of Supras
  11. Thats annoying. Hopefully someone will be able to spare a few hours. link to the car is: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201024361086479/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/supra/make/toyota/page/7/postcode/rm30wa/radius/1500?logcode=p
  12. changed to tomorrow evening. im travelling from Shenfield, Essex to Swindon, Wiltshire and will be leaving around 7pm will be eternally greatful if anyone can assist
  13. Im possibly going to go view a Surpa today. A UK 93' 6 speed 98k miles no mods. I was just going to see if anyone was around to come with me (ill pick you up on the way/collect you if its not too out of the way) just to help me look around the Supra, as its my first buying I dont have a clue really what im going to be looking for to make sure its in good condition. Obviously Ill throw you a bit of cash for your troubles if you want, I just need some assistance for an hour or so this afternoon around 3ish in the Essex area. A quick test drive and viewing over the major bits and bobs. I doubt anyone will be around on this sunny day anyway, but its worth a try. PM me or just post back edit: change to tomorrow evening. im travelling from cm15 0uh to swindon
  14. unfortunately i do need to stick to a UK model as im only 22. Cheers for info though, will be careful when buying.
  15. Does milage not matter to much on Supras then? What kind of milage do these cars go up to? Ill go see the car tomorrow but before i buy one ill ask someone local off the forums if they could tag along and/or my mechanic mate. You would want to get any Supra on the ramp before buying or are you talking about this one in particular?
  16. Well cambelt has just been changed that a few hundred quid. do parts need to start being replaced around 70k miles then? such as what parts, anything major? i wont buy this weekend, ill just go and have a look around the car and check it out. he sounded a bit desperate to sell.
  17. Thanks for the replys. Well apparently he has a full service history, obviously need to check this out. Ill ask about the mot and intercooler, anything i should be aware about inregards to intercoolers? anything i should check on them? (dodge makes/faulty IC's?) I wasnt buying for the 420bhp so its a bonus, the air filter will probably come off and be replaced after a few weeks anyway. Buying due to it simply because its in good nick, not too bad milage and at a fair price (in my eyes)
  18. Now ive never looked at a supra before let alone considering buying one, so im a right noob when it comes to buying. Tomorrow im going to look at an auto 3.0 supra 73k miles. Apparently has been serviced every 5k miles by toyota and he has all the docs to prove it. Cambelt has just been changed (obviously ill look at the latest service for proof of this). 4 brand new tyres on the standard good condition alloys. mods are: HKS exhaust system HKS intake - i assume this means air filter? approx 420 bhp - so this means he must of had the basic uprgrade right? bodywork is in fantastic condition I offered £6,500 cash in hand to see what he said and he came back and said you can have it for £6,600. http://pistonheads.com/sales/1833170.htm Now i dont know if this is priced too high, if this is a bargin and a good buy, or is there anything that sounds funny about this?! 6.6 is quiet a drop from 7.2 advert price. Ill scan through the 'what the look at when buying a supra' document when i have a look tomorrow but i just asking if anyone else can add anything or does this seem a fair deal for the money.
  19. i wudnt touch her even with beer goggles on.... looks rough and shes russian! no way
  20. ill be down there tonight but ill be in my audi a3 as i dont have a supra yet. Im still on the look out for a decent UK manual but the only one i have found is £15k and its about £5k over my budget.. grrrrrrr
  21. is it difficult to convert from auto to manual? i thought these cars were costly to change things like that due to their age. so what do you suggest i look for? If you guys are saying the 'TT6' is that the RZ engine? (i am reading the manuals u posted above but a little extra info wudnt hurt ) also is milage a big problem? ive always gone for lower milage cars, costing me a little more, but ive heard supra engines are pretty good. What kind of milage should i be lookin for with a £8/9k budget? Around 60k ?
  22. Cheers for the info above. Will look into scottc's links and will start lookin fresh from there. Ull probably find another thread 'is this car worth the money' soon thanks again
  23. Hi all, Soon to be new supra owner after getting some stupid insurance quote from Admiral. Im looking to spend around £8 grand on a Supra 6 speed manual. Im going to look at the below car tomorrow evening and have no clue on what bits i should be looking out for to make sure the car isnt a sh*t heap and i get conned! So if anyone could spare a few mins for me and tell me how i go about making sure the car isnt going to die and fall apart after 50 miles. Also is the below link good value for money? It seems to be the lowest milage/most standard for the cheapest price ive seen so far. (this just makes me think there is a problem with it) http://pistonheads.com/sales/1809497.htm Cheers for you time. AndyB
