  1. There in lies another issue. The car used to be a 1G-GTEU engine, of which there are 3 ECU generations. Guess who got the rarest gen3 ecu lol. From what i have cobbled together, i have all the wires connected (luckily Toyota have lots of continuity when it comes to wire colour). Even with the pinouts though, i don't know what are inputs and what are outputs.
  2. That is a stunning idea. Will be a pain as i have had to cut into the loom but worth the effort. I'd love to try a known working dash but unfortunately they were a rare option and as such i'm really struggling to find one.
  3. Get next to nowhere with the mk3 supra forums and have had it up on driftworks for a while now. Even tried the z20 soarer forum as they are all digi dash and the same basic platform. Good ideas though .
  4. Surely the pump will run continuously when switched to ignition on? The pump won't turn off when it get's to the correct pressure, the pressure relief valve will just allow fuel to return to the tank. That's what i thought anyway.
  5. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the mk3 dig dash? So this is really getting on my nerves. The car came standard with the digi dash and was working fine. I swapped in a 1jz engine on the gearbox that was already in the car and now it doesn't light up at all. None of the inputs have been changed (speed sensor, fuel level etc) but there is now no longer a oil pressure sensor (as the 1jz doesn't have one). When you turn the ignition to 'on', the dash lights for a split second but that's about it. I have tested at the plugs and it has a few 12v feeds and a few 0-5v feeds but without a proper wiring diagram, i'm not sure what should have what. The fuses are fine. I was under the impression that the dash is independent from the ecu, so that shouldn't be an issue. Please save me someone. Thanks
  6. A few more pics with less exposure:
  7. Thanks man. I do love it but i'm sick of not driving it. Been building it for three years now and at some point you just have to say enough is enough. It will be on the road by next summer.
  8. Lovely Supra. Can easily change it to a Manual and or Turbo

    Hello all

Hi . What supra have you bought? Manual, Turbo etc.
  10. Why do these really high walkways never have handrails? lol
  11. Don't get me wrong, i did enjoy it. Definitely more so than the episodes 1-3. The 'first' of a new trilogy is never going to be the best. They were obviously setting the scene and introducing the characters. It was a great base for the next one.
  12. Well I thought i'd better reintroduce myself since it has been so damn long. I'm Hayden, towards the end of my 20's and as most, spend waaay too much on my cars. The fun cars I currently have: - Z20 Toyota Soarer (currently receiving 12 cylinders) - Mk3 Supra Aerotop 1JZ-GTE Manual - Mk3 Supra Manual (waiting for 8 cylinders) Ciao for now.
  13. To be honest I pretty much enjoyed the film but cinematically it did feel more like the new star trek films than the star wars franchise. I wonder why that is...
  14. Hi all, Anybody know of a source of ECU pintouts for the above? I'm not too worried about the 1JZ ones but it's the 1G-GTE Gen3 ones I'm thinking is going to be an issue. Many thanks
  15. I'm looking at turning my soarer TT into a semi automatic. The two main choices ive narrowed down to are: Suprastick with steering wheel paddles http://www.latentsolutions.com/suprastickuv.html and Automatic Shifter (sequential style) such as the B&M pro ratchet http://www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Automatic-Shifters_3 If i'm honest the automatic shifter would better for what i'm looking for but the suprastick system would still be fine. Has anyone used these systems? Are there any other better products? Thanks
