  1. To confirm: Just been down to the (my) garage - its Millers XFS 5W-40 fully synthetic and the last lot cost me £24 for 5ltrs. To be honest, if we are all changing at 3K, mobil 1 is superfluous anyway? Tony:cool:
  2. guys, I use Millers fully synthetic, in a TT. it has been fantastic and is reasonable at about £26 for 5 litres. changed every 3k. Tony:)
  3. Guys, Ok, i stand to be corrected!!! But, in all my years of rallying, building engines and breaking them! I believe the understanding of a multigrade oil has been lost. a 10/50 acts like a 10 W oil cold (0deg f), but when warm acts like a 50 w (85-110 deg f) and effectivelyu gives the same protection. therefore anything that is a 40 or 50W when hot should not cause any problems, but will give better protection when the engine is cold. All of the oil manufacturers are trying to achieve a broader range of operating temperatures and this is why Synthetics are now so popular. the lower oil specific weight should be irelevant once the engine is up to normal temp. Tony
  4. The one on the left looks just right to me! T
  5. couldn't resist sending a pic whilst they are all shiny! I will post a picture of the car with them fitted over the weekend! Regards Tony
  6. Ibrah, tried to PM, but your in-box is full!! your price sounds good to me - please confirm it includes VAT and delivery, also tyres are T1-S in the sizes I requested. When could you deliver, I would also like some locking nuts if you can supply? doesn't matter if not. Thanks for your help, all things above being OK, how do I order/pay? Tony
  7. Ibrar, Iwould apreciate a price for 18x8 front, 18x9 rear with Toyo Proxes, sized 245/40, 265/35 respectively; assembled and balanced. I would have 10s on the back, but I don't think they make them? Thanks M8. need something sticky to give Chris R a run for his money at the Pod! Kind regards, Tony
  8. OK - thank you for your help - I'm going for the Hi-Octane's; I think the ride might be better (Chris R and I agree) and I can't risk that uprated brakes may clash with the new wheels. thanks to you all again for your help - I will see what i can do regarding a discount for "us" at wheelbase, who have been briliant with me: Tony
  9. SupraSapphire, are your wheels 19" also? i just wonder what i would need to do if i upgrsded the brakes. Regards Tony
  10. thanks for all this help, I have asked Nick at wheelbase to check out the fitment of 19" Evo's as sugested by SupraSapphire, with 245/275 Proxes and Nick has also recommended this Hi-Octane 18" rim; what do you think? could look good? Tony
  11. yeh - its a nice picture of the car too! you wouldn't believe I do this for a living! Try again............
  12. Steve, that looks lovely - hadn't considered other Toyota wheels, thanks. you can see why I want to change them from the pic attached! Regards Tony
  13. I ordered some 18's last week and now, prior to delivery, I'm told they wont fit - Mille Miglia EVO, 8" front, 9" rear. problem apparently is offset on the rear and caliper clearance on the front. My car is a Jap TT Auto GZ with 16" std rims (8" front, 9" rear) and with the puny brakes fitted I really didn't think there would be a problem, until I felt the clearance between the caliper and the stock front wheels (not on diameter, but between the spokes and the caliper casting). so perhaps there is some truth in the problem. Question to you all is: what have you all got fitted that I can safely buy mail order in the UK? I have asked most mail order companys for their opinion, but they all make negative noises, and everyone says something different even if their advertising shows a Supra fitment. they cant even agree on the proper offset? (i think 50mm). So far i have been offered a Hi-Octane 147 with a nice polished rim, and an OZ Classe (which looks really poor). all really deep dish types, I personally think the Supra looks best on five or seven spokes extending to the edge of the rim, so don't want either of these........ One of you must have gone through all this already?? Kind regards.......and please help Tony
  14. Anyone know what the correct diff oil is? will SAE 80 Gear Oil be OK? Thanks:)
