ive yet to see a faulty distributor.... if its a na auto, id check the ecu first.....

do the tip ex test on the crank pulley... put a paint line across the face of it, after running it a couple times on the spot, see if the line splits..... very common.... sounds like this really as the aux belt doesnt catch if the pulley has split....

check the crank pulley too... weird how it charges over 2k revs.... never seen one do that before.... so check the crank pulley isnt split first...

I’d argue that £17500 is way too less… uk autos seem to be advertising for about 28-35k currently…. If you show them examples online they should offer nearer that… unless you had a agreed value for less.
