  1. I have a specialized and would recommend them, although I've never tried a 29er. I would advise you to get a few demo bikes though and actually try them since they all feel different, you cannot always trust the reviews to get a bike that suits you, plus its good fun to try a couple.
  2. Looked very clean and the lady driver wasnt looking bad either.
  3. I am going to get a new camera so my old DSLR is up for grabs. Its around 4/5 years old and has seen a reasonable amount of use but it works absolutely fine. Camera - Canon EOS 350D with a EF-S 18-55mm lens, complete with the original box, manual, software, batteries, charger and 4Gb CF Card. - £150 Lens - Tamron AF 17-50mm f2.8 lens. (XR DiII). Used instead of the standard lens, no box but comes with two Hoya filters, a plain UV filter and a polarising filter. - £200 Battery Clip BG-E3. Holds two batteries, comes with box. - £20 Happy to split or will take £350 for the lot plus postage. Take a look on ebay but I think its a good price for the kit especially with all the extra's. Happy to get photo's if anyone is interested?
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. I need to read a bit more about it all and I think I will try and get down to a club somewhere. The ones I had been looking at are the Belt CP and the Interceptor 400, but having a look at Pulley's website the E-Flite ones look good as well. I will try and give you bell at some point and have a chat. At the moment I am trying to convince myself to be realistic and not just buy a £500 monster which will be buried into a wall on its first flight.
  5. Its my birthday soon and i wouldnt mind getting an r/c plane or helicopter. For a complete beginner what would be recommended? I don't want a toy but something that will be impressive to use. I would also like it be a kit so i can make it myself. Helicopters are supposed to be hard to fly so would a plane be better? How much runway does a plane need to land on and how smooth does it need to be, can planes survive a bad landing at all? Or are helicopters not too bad, which one would be ideal to get in kit form and not be impossible to fly? Any advice gratefully received.
  6. So who's got a blitz controller that we can clone?
  7. How does the ECU know the engine is running? If we can turn that signal wire to always read off then wouldn't the ECU think the car was parked and allow the spoiler to come down.
  8. Ah sorry, I read your previous post as though you could get it to come down while you were driving.
  9. Another thought ... Do the UK Spec work differently do the J Spec spoilers. My J Spec will not manually lower the spoiler unless the engine is off, whereas Josh seems to believe that he can lower his spoiler at will, also this page seems to agree with Josh : http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler1.gif If a UK Spec can lower the spoiler at will, then that would be fine for me, the question then would be is it the ECU thats different or the wiring between J and UK spec's?
  10. I dont know how the garfy version works but it would be amazing if we could get a version that was switchable. I found some circuit diagrams on the net of the ECU, one of them even has the manual control. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler1.htm I know Heckler talked about making one of these controls a while back, is the there no way a few electronic geniuses could put their heads together and work out how to make one?
  11. I'm interested if you can post up some details. Does it remove the "auto" function all together or can it work as "auto" or manual? Can it have a trigger to revert back to "auto" if you go above a certain speed?
  12. I had a scorpion can on a bike and it fitted perfectly so you may have a duff can or have fitted it wrong. Phone Scorpion themselves, they are friendly and will probably help you out
  13. Bad, it starts off with everyone telling you look ill, then later they all will start to try and kill you. I "think" you have two in game days to get a cure before you become a fully fledged vampire. Ive just become a werewolf which seems to be ok.
  14. I'd be interested too, however the ebay ones are £130 not £160. The difference being the postage which you may also need to take into account?
  15. Mine have been English versions and the licences have been fine (legit). I think theyre cheap because theyre OEM versions bought to be pre-installed but then just sold on separately. They do different language versions. This one is English http://www.softwarebilliger.de/betriebssysteme/windows-xp-professional-sp2-oem-cd-handbuch-und-windows-xp-professional-coa-englisch/ Annoyingly the dont have an English version of the website, but Google Chrome does a pretty good job of translating it for you.
  16. Ive used these people a few times and they've fine : http://www.softwarebilliger.de/ Its normally been via ebay, but a quick search shows that they dont have any items on ebay at the moment :http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/softwarebilliger/ They have various flavours of XP for less than £20.
  17. Not sure about the "change in hardware" detection, but you should be allowed to install the OS as many times as you like, as long as its only ever on one machine at any one time. If you exceed the limit you can phone Microsoft and explain what you were doing and they can reset the counter (if they believe you). I did this a couple of years ago so I assume the rules are still the same.
  18. Heres a map to show the areas, ive been nowhere yet and spent about 25 hours playing it. The game is vast. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24295752/skyrimmap_small.png Big version of the map... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24295752/skyrimmap.png
  19. Does anyone have, or know anyone who can read the ecu diagnostics and reset the automatic gearbox on a Peugeot 406. Its the AL4 box. The warning lights are flashing to say somethings wrong but normally it would go into limp mode. Since it still drives ok I think its a "change the oil" warning and would like to just clear it so it stops annoying me. I'm asking on here because the main dealers an arse and also wants £80 to plug a diagnostic tool in. I'm in the Bucks / Herts areas.
  20. I had my Cruciate done a few years ago. My biggest regret is not doing the physio I was supposed to do, mainly because of the pain. You really have to straighten the leg regardless of the agony, and kneel down on it so it bends fully, otherwise the new ligament will harden and you will never get full movement. If I remember correctly I could hardly walk for the first two weeks, six weeks to start getting back to normal, 6 months before it was painless.
  21. Do you think the fluid should be flushed and replaced or will it be ok? Its already been thrashed now.
  22. My son does speech therapy, he has been tested several times and then referred to different specialists based on that test. How old is your son and what did the therapist say was wrong with him? If anything. I would phone the specialists and ask for him to be tested again or get your gp to refer you to an independent therapist. I know we had to fight a couple of times but once in the system the help has been very good.
