  1. That's some great footage, love your power slides :-) But how quick is that Ferrari at the start of the video!
  2. Not sure if this helps but I looked at a Supra being sold by "platinum autos" who have a website but appear to have moved on from Jap cars. That business was run by two Asian brothers from their driveway, they also had some cars parked behind a house down an alleyway. I didnt buy their car as it was a bit ropey but they were nice enough people. I'm only saying this in case theres any confusion between two businesses since they are only a couple of miles down the road in Wycombe as well, there location is on their website.
  3. You can put me down. My location is High wycombe.
  4. I have one of these but haven't fitted it yet because I'm trying to find a way of having manual and auto. Very nicely put together btw. I know if you cut the alternator and speed wires to the ecu you can get full manual mode, but I haven't yet got a way of cutting those wires when the down button is pressed and joining them again when the off / up button is pressed. I think it needs a bit of electronic wizardry :-) any ideas?
  5. The Ford focus is running away with it at the moment :-(

You took the supra all the way to the states to film that! Respect.
  7. How much are your wheels? If they're £500 then I will take them off you.
  8. £500 for a pair of tyres! Is that normal? Is everyone paying that kind of money?
  9. I can't see any 275/35/17 on camskill so will have to be 275/40, not cheap though. It currently has 275/35/19 on it so I think they will be fine.
  10. I know tyre questions are boring and I did search but I couldn't find what i needed after an hour. I need to replace some rear tyres that are currently 265/40/17 but will be for track use. Looking at camskill it appears that the popular sizes are either 255/40/17 or 275/40/17. Will the wider tyres fit in stock arches? Are the thinner tyres too thin for track use?
  11. Just seen this, thats a fantastic job on the rebuild. I had two of these when I was younger but the only restoration i did was to hammerite the front wishbones. My dream is to build an AC Cobra from a kit, but I look at restorations like this and I doubt whether i have the skills to ever finish it. Congrats to your dad, he must have a lot of patience!
  12. Just booked a track day at Castle Combe on Monday 1st October just in case anyone else fancies popping along.
  13. I had this last year and was hoping the club would help provide valuations but it never happened. You need to find an independent garage that doesn't actually work on your car but they're hard to find. I think you can also take lots of photos and try and agree with them personally but I don't know how hard that is.
  14. Considering how easy it is for you to build a new car then keep the bits that are hard to source and sell the rest.
  15. Get a supra and take it to a track, you will enjoy yourself and improve your driving skills. You won't kill the car and in a couple of years you can insure it on the road. There's plenty of time for you to do the sensible option, just enjoy yourself.
  16. Did you know that when Croft was nearly closed. It was because of a single bloke who kept complaining!
  17. Bedford is an excellent circuit for beginners but you need to have a quiet exhaust. Once you've done a day there you will be comfortable giving any track a go. I'm hoping to do brands this year and maybe silverstone, if I book something I will put it up here in case people are interested, its always nice to have people around in case something breaks.
  18. They're definitely strange, my renewal is 600 up from 400 last year! Haven't had any claims or anything so it doesn't make sense.
  19. I curbed one of my wheels within 10 minutes of fitting them so these are a good idea if they are not too noticeable. Will look forward to seeing some photos.
  20. Has anyone got any experience of these... http://www.alloygator.com/ Are they likely to look really bad in real life?
  21. How cool are they! Keep thinking about getting a dog for the kids and pictures like that keep tempting me.
  22. I have 39 miles left in my car now after spending the last half hour driving around wycombe looking for diesel. Tried 9 garages and they've all run out completely, the tenth had unleaded only. I've got a funeral tomorrow and will have to drain diesel out of my van to get there, I will hope that I can find a garage when I'm there otherwise I ain't gonna get back.
  23. Half the stations around wycombe have run dry now and don't get another delivery till next week! Apparently there will be 7 days notice if there is a strike, the govt has managed to create the panic that they were trying to avoid. Muppets everywhere.
