  1. I would love to be there the first time somebody crashes one of these onto the roof of a 100k supercar!
  2. If you are using FPV I would appreciate it if you could tell me exactly what kit you are using and whether it works. I would like to buy a TX / RX at the end of this month but I have a tendency to buy incorrectly (cheap) and then have to buy it all again later
  3. I think you would need to give out a job title or company otherwise I wouldnt have a clue what to search for on linkedin!!
  4. Thanks for this, I will look into the kit. Can the receiver plug into a laptop to display the video? Also are those home made cases you are using? It would nice to be get somewhere to hold it all. I'm jealous of the fact you have all 3 Phantoms Thats the kind of job I could do with! I take it you make films of some kind, I can see the use of drones for filming being very big in the near future.
  5. I got a DJI Phantom for xmas and its amazingly stable. Ive got an original GoPro attached to it at the moment but want to go FPV. What type of kit did you buy for FPV flight and would you recommend it? I was thinking of getting the Hero3 with video output so the camera isnt dedicated to just flying, I would also like to use an Oculus Rift for the goggles for the same reason. Is the video TX/RX independent of the screen / goggles and camera?
  6. I hadn't realised you had to have a live gold account just to access Netflix, what's that about? Also it seems the xbone is getting cinavia so good luck to those people who like playing copied films! A good thread but I don't think either console has me excited, maybe after Xmas.
  7. Good point, I dont think I ever drove it anywhere near its limits to be honest
  8. I used big brakes on the track and even with sticky tyres the ABS would kick in and allow the car to stay in a straight line, the ABS cannot detract from the brakes power so I dont see any benefit in disabling it.
  9. Did you manage to refurb the pillow ball mounts or did you use tein again? I have the same mounts and they only last 3k miles. I really want a decent replacement that will last a while.
  10. Might be a stupid question (and one that's been asked before) but can't the TT turbo's be run in parallel rather than sequential? Would that not make the standard turbo's more progressive and be similar to a small single turbo.
  11. +1 for vreds, I have them on 19" rims and they're excellent.
  12. Glad you're getting it sorted. Remember that your posting on a public forum though in case you say something you later regret. Been there and done that one.
  13. Is there a legal limit on the road? I know that some Ferrari's are way over 100 out of the factory. I only changed mine to get within track restrictions.
  14. The hi power silent on mine when decatted was around 103DB, they're not very silent.
  15. I know it might be difficult but I would want it taken to a professional body shop. Otherwise its likely to be built by a couple of blokes who don't know what they are doing and it will never be right again. Worst case is that it gets written off and you have to buy a new one. But rather that than endless problems.
  16. I think if your brake fluid is near the minimum then it will be that causing the warning. Mine has to be at the max level and maybe slightly above.
  17. Not sue what warning lights come on for the gearbox, but to measure the oil the engine has to be running and you should move the selector through the gears before looking at the dipstick.
  18. I think it was the brake fluid. Looking at the level it looked full but in actual fact was about 2mm below the max level, filling it to just above the max appears to have stopped the warning lights. The sensor must be super sensitive.
  19. I actually tried pulling the handbrake on at the time, the handbrake light comes on and off with the handbrake so I figured it was fine. I didnt recall the big exclamation mark coming on with the handbrake though but I will check that again. It only did it lifting off after accelerating hard, even then it didnt do it every time. (It was a bit slippy this morning to do to much playing).
  20. Thanks for that. There are no errors stored in the ECU. Does anyone know if the autobox has its own diagnostic port? (And I will search myself for the answer this time!)
  21. The warnings are coming on after I stop using the boost so I don't think its the FCD or fuel cut. Its always been happy boosting up to 1.2 bar and its turned down at the moment, the controller is showing it at most getting to 1.03. Is there an easy way to read the diagnostic errors?
  22. Both, the big one in the middle and the handbrake warning light. Surely the big exclamation mark in the middle doesnt come on just because the handbrake is on though does it?
  23. Oil level and brake fluid is ok, PAS level looks to be at the top. Autobox level maybe low though. Funny thing is though that the car hasnt really been used since it did a trackday a month ago and it didn't show up any errors on the track. Its the warning triangle and the small "handbrake warning light", I think thats a general light though isnt it?
  24. Jspec TT Auto. BPU'd but standard otherwise. Has been setup the same for a few years so this is something new. I'm going to check the fluid levels now as that would be the simplest solution.
  25. Its just started this morning, but after overtaking someone the triangle warning light came on about half a second after letting off the gas. I tried it a couple of times after that and it did it again but not every time. Nothing sounds untoward and it all feels fine. Doesn't do it if i brake hard though so it may not be levels. Anyone have any thoughts as to anything common? is there an easy way to read the error codes?
