  1. Probably a stupid question but I want to remove the skirts and spats and put the supra back to complete stock. Can anyone tell me what parts I need? What they are called or even the part numbers. I guess it's just something to cover the vents and maybe asking the still?
  2. Thread hijack I know - but is there a thread about the 8 speed auto conversions? I can't find anything on my phone.
  3. The advert has gone, apparently PH also thought it was a scam.
  4. It not just the bbc, it's on every front page today. The more he is attacked the more appeal he will have with people, he will get voted in just to annoy the established powers at be.
  5. If I did that I would end up driving around in a pink fiat 500! I know my place and my responsibilities, and they are putting the bins out and trying to keep the cars going.
  6. Fully agree, things really need to change.
  7. I'm not sure I get this attitude, Labour didn't cause the financial crisis, they just happened to be in power at the time. Sub prime mortgages and the banks caused the crash. It's correct that Labour will spend more than the Tories but it's not necessarily bad, Greece are doing austerity and it isn't going to help them one little bit. Doing austerity here won't help either, it won't hurt the rich but it sure will hit the working classes.
  8. I actually think it's a good thing, Labour are so similar to the Tories that it didn't matter who you voted for they were all the same. At least now there will be some difference and a choice, I don't know if they'll ever get into power though.
  9. I can't remember the panel name off the top of my head, they were mid cost I believe with a good inverter. Used Chiltern solar to install who were very good. Things to think about.... Can the panels face the right way to get sunlight. Is the roof strong, apparently it's not the weight of the panels but that they will try and lift the roof when it's windy. Cleaning isn't an issue, they self clean. Rather than using a single inverter, I believe you use lots of small ones (one for each panel). There is nothing better than watching that electricity wheel spinning backwards! :-)
  10. I don't know much about them tbh, but I'd have thought it would be the software that did the work of getting the codes (torque app). Whilst the adapter was simply a pass through communication device?
  11. I have a 4kw system, they are brilliant. Generally the government will pay me 1k per year for 20 years, my electricity is almost free over the year. Cost 7k to install. Fit rate is being canned by the government in the next few months so be quick.
  12. I've got one but I doubt I'm near you, I'm in high Wycombe. You can get them off eBay for £20, they Bluetooth to your phone.
  13. An intelligent spoiler controller or adaptive suspension based on speed (tein can be adjusted via a controller, need to hook it up). Or possibly something found on a modern car that you can bring over? It's mainly electronics though.
  14. My wife drove my jaguar into the back of our mpv/van and in in a dilemma as to whether to claim on the insurance. The van is a 98 Toyota which needs a new tailgate and is unlikely that Toyota will still supply them, so I guess it will get written off. The jag needs a new bumper which isn't a big deal. I'd like to keep the van as the damage is only cosmetic, but I'm in a dilemma since the insurer will fight over the value and might not sell it back to me. Do you think it's worth risking a claim?
  15. Already has brand new UK brakes all round, tein suspension and loads of other stuff. It doesn't *need* anything, just fancied treating it for its birthday!
  16. Thanks for the replies but since I don't want to go single there's not a lot of point to the ecu. I need to think of something else to spend my money on!
  17. Would be interested in any feed back you have Scott, I hadn't thought about paddle shifts just because the box only has 3 gears so I wouldn't have thought it would be that useful. Nor was I keen to go all the way to single either, if like to keep the car semi standard of you know what I mean. I wonder how the car would feel with a syvecs in non sequential mode?
  18. I was wondering what to do next on the car, with the main aim to make the power delivery and transition from first to second turbo as smooth as possible. The car currently has a Blitz boost controller and it all works but could be smoother. I dont want to go single, so am looking for the best setup for a tt auto in BPU guise. Any thoughts / suggestions?
  19. I think the point I'm trying to get across which may be obvious, is that the forums give you a head start. From then on it becomes a more independent EBay site with all the features - feedback, alerts, auctions etc.
  20. I'll be honest I was really just thinking aloud but the idea might have legs. I think the problem with any new site is getting both sides of the transaction, I.e. buyers and sellers. No items for sale then buyers will go elsewhere, no buyers then no one will sell. Using the forums fills the seller side instantly, buyers can be attracted in by offering a decent search, auctions and item alerts. Using the api's available you should be able to extract the items (with the forums permission). I think the categories would be messy to start with but a decent search would help. I thin the sale site would be separate to the forums so no need to sign up to buy. You would also be able to sell independently of the forum. Auctions would be direct sales only. Maybe the forums would integrate more closely later. Get a big forum like avforums and mumsnet involved and you would have a lot of content from the off.
  21. Heres an idea... The problem: . Ebay is offensive and expensive . A startup will struggle because Ebay have the "moat" and the adverts. . Loot and gumtree are still going but are unpopular because a. Theyre crap websites and b. The stuff on them is generally crap . Any free service will attract the poor items and the cheap sellers, Ebay avoids this because it charges a fee to advertise in the first place The solution: . Use the forum API to tap into all the for sale threads in all the forums - see Tapatalk as an example . The for sale threads provide thousands of adverts from the off, no marketing advertising needed, a head start . Ebay gave us the feedback functionality, that will help keep the dross from the site . Forums are self regulating and poor sellers get banned, so support already exists . Forums will benefit because users will now come across the forums and join up, whereas they may never have known they existed . Most forums are based on the same software, so the integration is minimised Someone mentioned the cost of hardware, to start with 4 or 5 web servers and 2 or 3 DB servers will suffice to start, shouldnt be more than a few thousand a year to rent. If someone wants to be an "Angel Investor" then i have a company that could build the web and mobile sites to get this off the ground (free plug for myself ) What do people think?
  22. That does look good. I was chatting to someone yesterday and we wondering if you could make a business using drones. Doors anyone here use them commercially?
  23. I *think* it was filmed at Bovingdon airfield near Hemel Hempstead.
  24. I saw interstellar last Friday, I thought it was a really good, well put together movie. A bit long but enjoyable. Hasn't seen any reviews before hand and didn't know the story, I think that helped a lot, don't read the plot first!
