  1. Delboys schematic is the spec that the modules were made to. If it helps anyone in the future I have attached a schematic of the OEM spoiler operation. I did toy with building a controller that combined a manual override (down) with the standard automatic operation but I never finished it. It should simply be a case of fooling the ECU that the engine is off / stationary by disconnecting the input wires (via a relay) and deploying the spoiler. Would love to hear if anyone builds something?
  2. I've played with the rift but haven't bought the retail version as I'll wait for the ps4 version, purely since I prefer consoles. I have the Samsung gear. VR is a game changer, all the big companies want to do it because it's so good. Imagine a driving simulator where you can look out the side window by turning your head. Or virtual tourism where you can move down a virtual street, shop or hotel. I think there is massive potential for VR, much more than 3D or whatever was around in the 90's
  3. Just been looking at these turbos... https://www.speedforsale.com/supraparts/stu-usdm-gt28-hybrid-stock-twin-turbo-upgrade-600rwhp-sfs-mkiv-gt28usdm-p-553.html It appears that you can run them with all the standard pipework and ECU but I may be mistaken. What appeals to me is that they can produce more power but the car remains (kind of) standard. Why wouldnt someone upgrade to these?
  4. If Luke didnt want to be found then why did he leave a map? What woke R2D2 up at just the right time?
  5. I thought the same, same death star but bigger, same flaw, same shield take down. Surely they could have come up with something original? The bad guy (Hans son) whatever his name was, is probably the most pathetic villain ive ever seen, he just needed a big hug and he would have been fine. Still enjoyed the film though, for what it was.
  6. Haha, yeah I hope they haven't looked under the floor mats. Will try the DVLA but I have a feeling that because I'm not a parking warden they won't tell me where it is!
  7. A friend of mine did this article of a camper van they had years ago. Someone wrote in to the guardian and said that the car was still alive but sorn. I want to track it down and see if it would be possible to buy it back for the family. Can anyone help? 8. Can gravel be laid over the existing concrete or is that going to have to be dug out? What about resin bonded gravel, worth looking at?
  9. I want to build a garage and resurface the driveway but I need some ideas to keep the costs down. The driveway is 20m x 20m so at around £60/sqm it would be £24k to resurface it all. At the moment its approximately half grass / half concrete which is breaking up and i want to park on the grass. Trying to keep the cost down what would be good options - tarmac, grass reinforcement mats, concrete? The garage will be an oak framed building, probably a 3 bay with an extension on one side, can anyone recommend a company that does kits or builds garages I would appreciate the pointers.
  10. I remember buying a 2.8i Capri with my dad once, we met the guy at night in a petrol station forecourt. The car was for my dad and it was his money so I convinced him to buy it, it was so bad the whole chassis used to twist when you put the power down. I was going to say we live and learn, but we don't, we get a little wiser but will still for stuff again sooner or later, its human nature to want to trust people and see 'what they want to see' rather than 'whats in front of them'. Anyway move on, it will be a story down the pub in a years time.
  11. I quite fancy one of these as the family car so would be interested to know what you thought? They are coming down in price pretty quickly to.
  12. I need something thats high lift for a van but can also start low for the supra. The balloon jacks look ideal but I would like to avoid the Chinese rubbish and get something worthwhile, I did see a tyre guy use one on a trackday but no idea what it was. (i'm not averse to buying a separate compressor as well but using the exhaust would be handy). Ta
  13. Was referring to you William, let me know if you can arrange something. I'm not in any rush so take you time and I will let you know if I get any other offers.
  14. I'm based near high Wycombe but could meet on the m40, m4, m25 or even m1 if you are passing near London. Otherwise sure we could probably sort something? Where are you normally driving to.
  15. Lol, What are the chances of that, you have to be quick around here!
  16. Sounds good, I have sun visors, I guess they can be swapped over? Whereabouts are you as it's not something that can be posted.
  17. Anybody got the head lining? Prefer it to be black leather but consider anything, must be good condition.
  18. Looking for the oem standard trim for the sides of the car. I think it comprises of 4 hockey sticks, the side pods and trim for the sills. Must be good condition, color not a problem as I can get them painted. Thanks
  19. Does this imply that the Bilstein sports kit is not height adjustable? Are they more a direct replacement for stock shocks? Is the ride likely to be much softer with these than with the teins, I'm getting old so soft is good? You are right on the cost of the good stuff though, can't really justify 3000 per corner!
  20. Hadn't realised I could replace the headlining to be honest, assumed it was a massive job. So if I do that, what is the best suspension these days? (Ignoring cost for the time being)
  21. Problem is - mine have been fitted with the EDFC controller which has been installed in the roof lining. So if I remove the suspension I'm going to be left with a hole in the headlining! Not sure theres much I can do other than stick with them (for now anyway).
  22. Chris - Did anyone ever measure the Tein Monoflex pillow ball tops so you could look up replacements? I cant believe its been 3 years since this thread was started but I need to replace these mounts (again). I dont have the facilities to take the shocks apart or the tools to measure them accurately, so I was wondering what the best way of getting better replacements is?
  23. If the hockey stick sale falls through I'm looking for the full set. Pm me if they become available.
  24. Hockey sticks is the name I needed then plus all the other trim, thanks for the replies.
