It turns out that the garage I used have lost their MOT tester and were taking it to another garage to get the actual test done. I wish i had taken the mileage before hand though because I'm fairly certain they went the long way around!

My car is in for an MOT this morning ata local garage. The missus popped to the local shops and saw my car driving along behind her! Now I think the garage usually do a road test because they mentioned that they had never driven an MR2 before and how much they liked driving it (its the wifes). But is this standard or unusual to be driving cars in for an MOT?

Newly refurbished so they are immaculate and come with excellent tyres. Front 8.5J ET35, 235/35/19 Rear 9.5J ET35, 275/30/19 Continental Sport Contact tyres with 6-7mm tread on the rear and 5-6mm tread on the front. Fit over big brakes fine. Looking for £800. I dont the car but was wondering where you were getting your wheels refurbished and were they any good? i have a set of split rims i'm thinking of getting done and I'm in the area.

I like gardena stuff, compatible with hozelock fittings but better quality. I have a wall mount reel and it's been fine for last 3 years.

A noob question but do you know if there would be any issue fitting these within stock arches and over UK brakes? Cheers Neil

I have some 2 piece Toms C7R alloys, 17".

I have a set of 17" C7R alloys for sale, I used them on trackdays / spare set but havent used them for a while so seeing if anyones interested. The wheels need refurbishing, they seem to be originally black but were painted silver and the paint is now peeling off so they are now a black / silver combo. Genuine TOM's / Rays engineering 2 piece wheels. Fronts are 9" wide, rears are 10". Tyres... Front - Toyo Proxies T1R 245/45/17 - worn but some life left Rear - Toyo R888 275/40/17 - used once for about an hour so are almost brand new. Made me think I could get one for the wife but she has a 96 MR2 so it has to be a prefix / suffix plate. Is there any particularly good places to look for plates or get ideas around - mum, mrs, wife, mr2, Lucy etc etc?

Thought about this for some pests we have in the loft. What does the mat mesh look like and how do you stop it tripping the entire house circuit?

I don't think you need the risers, just don't let babies climb the stairs as they may go through!

Not sure if it matters, but depending on how the time share was sold you can now get out of them and get some compensation. The companies that get you out arent the most respectable but a class action was won in Spain recently so its easier to get out of the contract.

In 2040 I don't think you will own cars anyway. You will rent them when you need them like boris bikes. They'll also probably be autonomous so call it on your app and it will turn up at your door. Different sizes for each occasion, all can charge in a central pool when not in use so you don't have to wait an hour for it to recharge half way through a journey.

you can take out a warranty which may help. My friend has never had any issues but I did read someone paying £2,500 for front discs and pads!!

Looking at the same cars for a friend at the moment. Possibly including the rs4 and rs6 estates though as he wants understated. A friend has the c63, I love it as does he, sounds and looks fantastic. He had the m3 before that, reckons the Merc is much better as an all round car, drives nicer.

Thread resurrection... I need a camera in the car as the wife has just been involved in a scam "non accident" which will cost me dear. The last reviews were a year ago, has anything better come out or reviews changed in that time?
