Yes it was on the high side. I have just had a couple of coolers fitted so it had all been topped up to the top. Any idea how much pressure is needed to open the valve?

Whilst doing a trackday last weekend I got a massive cloud of smoke coming from the car. At first I thought I had killed it but it still runs perfectly. The smoke is coming from oil burning off the exhaust, underneath the drivers seat area so quite far back under the car. Its an autobox and it looked to be in that area. There are no obvious leaks and no large pools of oil or fluids although there are traces around the underneath. Never happens under normal / fast driving. Only occurred when braking as hard as possible from high speeds, i.e the ABS is on full chat (17" toyo tyres in the dry). Are there any breather pipes / over flows or anything around the autobox area? Anything else that could leak under braking from the engine? I would expet leaks to come from the front but for it to be so far back I am suspicious about the autobox? Any ideas, anyone.

I have to admit that it would be a shame that a car as clean as this could be broken. However I was thinking about the value of mine the other day, and I believe I could get as much for it in parts as i could as a complete car. It may be the start of an era where a lot of Supra's disappear!

Where do people mount their cameras? I have a mount on the front of the car on the bumper, but want a second camera inside the car. If I attach it with the sucker to the back window the front view is obscured by the rear view window, if I put the camera lower down then you dont get to see much out the front of the car. I did think of attaching it to the headrest but its hard to get a good fit with a clamp. Another option would be to have it on my helmet but then it might move around too much. Curious as to where people put them?

Supraudi refurbed the ones I have and he got replacement nuts from the refurber, they're not identical but you don't notice. Maybe you could ask him where they sourced from?

It was the smooth stuff. I might not have degreased them enough to be honest, or I may just have expected them to look like dnk's powder coated ones which they didn't.

Are you spray painting them in hammerite? I tried to paint mine a few weeks back with a brush but they looked crap and I had to strip the paint back off.

Llandow is a bit short, and a long way from me. Thinking about doing half a day at Bedford, there's a novice event at the end of Oct that's tempting. Spa, brands and silverstone are on my list for 2012.

Before : as i understand it oil takes in residues from the petrol etc when it is running which makes it acidic. So if you leave it in it has the opportunity to eat away at the internals.

They dont race them so the electric one would be better. I will keep an eye on the auction for it and might have a bid if it doesnt get too high.

I was looking for an RC car for the kids, I already have a HPI nitro truck but i can never get it to start. How hard do you think the XXX-NT will be to get going? If its going to be tricky then I will carry on looking out for an electric one.

I know someone who has owned a quattro from new and it has 300 miles on it. A waste really. I think the last of the Jaguar xj cars will be worth a lot. Get an 09 x358 V8 and stick it in the garage for 10 years.

I bought one but never used it, I never even opened the jiffy bag. I think it was a bit of an impulse purpose. It was from the second batch so it had some improvements in it I believe, not sure what they were now though. Happy to sell it on for what I paid - £50 posted. Theres only one though so you may have to fight over it!

About to buy these new, so last call to see if anyone has a cheaper alternative?
