  1. Nice beard though I can't grow a proper beard. I just look like Shaggy from Scooby Doo!
  2. I won't edit your first comment; I'll just leave you to correct your spelling. It's your decision.
  3. Seems to me half the reason anyone buys a Supra. Reading this thread, there are obviously many much better cars out there.
  4. I'll tell you one thing, if I hadn't spent so much money on mine, I'd be getting an insurance quote already. Is it something that Adrian Flux would recognise and not charge a fortune for? I suppose people might even listen to me then as well! Back to the topic, I think.......I always loved the look of MR2 turbo's and Fairlady Z's but I'm too tall for the Supe, let alone one of those.
  5. I wish I had no financial discipline or that TRD3000 would be in my garage! Love the video btw. You should put it in here and stop the debate dead!
  6. Don't worry Chris, the build won't be for atleast another 2 years while I'm rebuilding the Typhoon engine. Who would you recommend then? What manufacturer would get your Dollar, if not Brian Crower? My local transmission shop says they have a good reputation.
  7. Thanks for that, might move to your area then as here the roads are absolutely 'crazy'. No wonder so many people are buying 4x4's!
  8. Just voted for the Supra manual in white, as I owned a MKIII for 7 years. My ideal vehicle is a GMC Typhoon as they're practical, fast as f*** off the line and extremely rare, even in America. It's the black SUV. Only downside is fuel consumption but no worse than my Supra. We'll see when I get the Typhoon engine back together! This is worth a laugh if nothing else! Enjoy! bqO6uZ0ZhX8
  9. Excellent, thanks! Now it's just a toss up between these and some BK Racing 797's......... What tyre profiles are you running?
  10. Be sure to atleast watch the video series below and also get yourself an engine repair manual if you haven't already, either from Toyota or on cd or download on eBay, as these give step by step instructions. Good luck with install.
  11. So basically, the engines aren't developing anything like their potential airflow but are somewhat idiot-proof, so to speak! I'd rather live dangerously, so Brian Crower, here I come!
  12. From what I have read, both GE and GTE engines are non-interference. I can't see how but that's another matter! The pistons must have pretty deep valve reliefs to accommodate open valves, in that case.
  13. Check this out guys, Forgot how to embed it properly. Remind me and I'll edit it? Didn't work last time I tried it but done it before once.
  14. Sounds like my GMC Typhoon. Bought it 3 years ago and couldn't get it to run without stalling due to bad compression so I took the engine out and have had it on my kitchen worktop as a bare 4.3 V6 block while I'm building a new workshop in the back garden to do the rebuild work. Drove it a total of 5 metres, backwards and forwards outside the garage! Now I've got the Supra, I'm more keen to NA-T that but won't be able to for a good couple of years to get the truck out of the way. Already got a stage 5 turbo off ebay for £90!
  15. 'Blingy' you say? Edit, I've just read the entire thread and noticed that you have D2 brakes, Blue! How have you found them? I bought some 8 pot fronts months ago but haven't fitted them yet. I bet they bind, as the 'anti-rattle' clip holds the pads tight and there are no pad seperating springs in the kit. I'll make my own and not bother with the supplied clip. That's just there to stop the stainless bolt sleeves from rattling but they should have been cut longer in the first place so I'll pack them out with washers. Also, not sure if it's D2's printing error or your preferred direction but the brake discs are on backwards according to my fitting manual, as are the front wheels but that's just temporary, I know. Awesome job and nearly there now!
  16. All I want to know is what the wheels are now. They'd go with my blue/green/purple flip.
  17. That's what it says. Why, are they a NoNo or a YesYes?
  18. Ok, I know you haven't bought the new ones yet Blue, I just wanted to know what the existing ones are without trawling the entire thread when it might not say anyway. I've asked directly twice and still no answer. That way, I can check them out and buy new if I still like them, if you're not selling yours in the next few months. I'll garage the car through the winter anyway and go back to the Smart. Have you seen these Wolfrace Carbon Sharks? Much cheaper but still made in Germany. Must be a coating or 3M carbon sheet perhaps.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130434731217 Only available up to 18" though or I'd be interested.
  19. Cool, 20's are even better as long as they fit! Had any issues with the size? Is the tyre circumference significantly larger or is it fully compensated? No rush anyway, just incase you need a buyer. What make & model?
  20. Stunning car. How much for the flamed rims? 19's? Would suit mine perfectly. If not selling, what are they? Working in the morning and can't read the whole thread.
