  1. Just saw this.....though I wouldn't want to be the owner of the car behind him.....or infront.... http://video.uk.msn.com/watch/video/amazing-parallel-park/1j4q0oehe?from=sfhpmodule
  2. If you change any hardware, at least the drives, Microsoft's records will flag it as a different computer and refuse validation. My Vista 64 Ultimate did this when a RAID 1 failed and I used a different pair of drives to rebuild it. Had to rebuild to the original pair before it would validate the install.
  3. Well I hadn't the foggiest idea!
  4. So they're always on with dipped beam then? Mine come on at the first twist stop and then dipped beam joins in but never dipped beam on their own. This is why I call them sidelights, as they precede and then accompany the dipped beams. To my mind, fogs, (front or rear), are always on a seperate lighted switch and certainly don't come on with the stalk before the dipped beams in the middle. I don't consider my car to actually have front fog lights, as there is no lighted switch, seperate from the stalk for the fronts, only the rears. What Toyota have labelled the blue ones as, I don't know. Eyup, says in the manual that there's a ring on the stalk for fogs. Maybe mine's always been on as the blue ones always come on first thing with the lower side-lights in the combined indicator unit in the scoop but I've always thought that fogs should only come on when dipped beam is selected, like any other car, not before, even if the fog switch is on? Mine's the same car as yours btw, 1997-8 VVTi.
  5. You have a U.K. car, right? I think this thread has helped me more than you! Look for your fog light button somewhere. Will only work, of course, with the headlights turned on. Then again, I don't know if all cars have them wired up or if fogs were an option.
  6. Are you sure? It comes on at the first notch as a sidelight and then the dipped beams on my J'spec. Must be a U.K. only thing.
  7. Blue is sidelight. The green one isn't used (i.e. doesn't exist) on Jap spec's and should be an indicator on UK's only, I think, though I don't have a U.K. car? Was thinking of wiring them up, as I put U.K. glass lights on my Jap' spec' car and there's no wire for them.
  8. 1. Pink Floyd 2. Pat Benatar 3. The Prodigy 4. Queen 5. U2 Update, scrap that poncy rubbish above; Ministry FTW!
  9. Cool. All I know is that for Home Editions, there's a limit on the validation attempts to prevent fake copies being sold in significant numbers. I can't use my own copy of XP anymore without buying a new key which isn't going to happen. (I want to upgrade my laptop drive but can't re-install it as a 'change in hardware' detection prevents use, making it a different machine and needing a new key).
  10. Hi Chris, if there's no OS on the drive, licences shouldn't come into it. It's blank so you can use whatever you want. The only question is whether your XP Professional will allow you to register it again, if you've already entered the keycode online. I'm just trying to think how they're claiming that it's licensed for Vista when there's no OS there, unless it's stored in a seperate partition but you'd still have to have the original disk to use it. Makes no sense to me except if you're just looking at a sticker that they put on it from the OS that was installed before, then deleted. Fwiw, my XP Home allowed me to validate it 5 times before locking me out. I was building a P.C. and trying different partitions and RAID setups so had to keep re-installing. Essentially, you're only limited by the OS disk you have and it's allowed validation attempts, as stored by Microsoft. Scott probably just said that but I don't know about professional versions.
  11. Hi and welcome! You should get on well with Josh
  12. Sounds like you need a bigger turbo (and to qualify my comment before I get shot down in flames, with all the associated upgrades to fuelling and valvetrain etc.).
  13. Who even needs a snow plough with the Veilside front end? They've been out for years for 4x4's btw, albeit in a slightly smaller package..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ESP-SNOW-PLOW-KIT-TRAXXAS-T-MAXX-E-MAXX-/230704977248?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b7169560
  14. My Dad forwarded the link this morning. His mate's always send him this sort of thing, being retired and having all the time in the world to find it! I was thinking about starting a thread asking you guys what you would do if it became law that your children were to be phyisically tagged or chipped, 'for their protection' against 'fill in the blank boogeyman of the day'. I decided against it, lest I be banned again but this is the root of the child safety scaremongering, fwiw. That's not to say that there aren't dodgy people out there but there's an agenda here, that's my point. Child safety law, anti-terror law, etc. are all being cynically used to push through with a long-term plan to chip everyone. Some say it's already been done with chemtrails, spraying nano-particulate RFID tags that are inhaled and can be activated by mobile phone radiation to produce any chosen chemical frequency in the body with a corresponding chemical effect. A bit like high-tech homeopathy but for all the wrong reasons, allegedly.
  15. Did our grandparents and in some cases, parents, go through this for nothing? I wonder what they'd have to say about it.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2016667/Colour-pictures-revealed-London-blitz-Nazi-bombers-World-War-II.html?fb_ref=LikeButtonTop&fb_source=home_oneline
  16. How much snow have you guys had up there? We've had none down south yet. Coldest it's been was frosty one morning last week. I reckon this wind might bring it on now though. Probably Arctic. Definitely colder tonight already.
  17. I paid £53.75 each plus VAT on 14/04/10 from Wayside Toyota in St. Albans. Still haven't fitted them 'cos I sold the car and the new one doesn't need them. Still boxed as new.
  18. I feel your pain Brother! That's why I sold my last one. Just too stressful to drive and one deep hole and you're picking up pieces.
  19. Rock cakes! Sorry, couldn't resist either! No need to get in a flap, Jack.
  20. Things to do before I die.... 2) Shag Japanese twins. Yeah baby, yeah! Turbos, obviously. Hey, if we did a group booking, I could get some tickets for my Mate Dave, as he's in Amsterdam on Saturday. It's on the way there! http://www.purityevents.nl/david-icke-the-lion-sleeps-no-more
  21. Don't be so hard on yourselves. I think you all do an excellent job. A thankless task, if ever there was one.
  22. Ok, I have a pen, so what's the address?
