  1. Cheers mate, appreciate the assistance!
  2. Hey Guys, I've searched myself blue in the face and can't find anything. I'm swapping a 2JZGTE with an AUTO ecu from an Aristo into my 93 MKIV manual supra. Does anyone know the wiring required to eliminate the ECU throwing errors and also getting the box to work properly? I have heard of the neutral switch delete, but what else is required to perform this modification? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tony
  3. Hey Guys, I'm busy doing that aristo swop, i haven't updated lately because of exams but i need number 4 and 5 ECU plugs which are coded F59 and F60: This has the part numbers: http://wilbo666.pbworks.com/w/page/42173082/2JZ-GTE%20VVTi%20JZS161%20Aristo%20Engine%20Wiring Do you know if another toyota has the same plugs? Or have a solution for my predicament. Thanks Guys
  4. Inside the Supra ECU: (Backside) Top side: Checked it for any white dust, don't want any shorting... It appears we have decided to make a patch harness that we can retail at a later stage joining the Supra body loom to the aristo ECU and loom
  5. So i wasn't happy with the motor i recieved. It was dirty, so many things were cut and broken that it would have been a nightmare to sort out. I subsequently returned that motor for a refund and found EAS Imports. Thanks to Donovan for the great service, showing us around his warehouse helping us choose motors. I paid for the motors on monday and went to go select which two i wanted. We found 2 great examples. There was a bit of oil sweat on the tappets, quite common on supra motors. We left and were told that delivery would be monday as soon as the money reflected in his account. That afternoon he called me to say there was an issue with the one motor, so in my mind i'm thinking 'here it goes again.' Donovan told me one of his guys was cleaning the motor and saw a small dent in the sump and he was concerned with whether the motor was still to my standards. I was so impressed guys, if you ever need a motor don't hesitate to go to EAS and speak to Donovan. Great guy and great service. Yesterday morning this is what i recieved: Front View: And the ECU's and Igniters: I have full wiring harnesses, igniter modules and ECU's as well as auto gearboxes with clutches to sell on. Next step is to order all the parts required from overseas and start fabricating certain parts here (Intercooler pipes and so on) My wiring guy will get to the harnesses at the end of next week, but i will update with pictures as i make parts and the big delivery arrives.
  6. Hey mate, great to hear from you. I'm doing great, busy on these ridiculous builds How things your side? That will be great, if i need anything i will let you know Hopefully this time we can sit down and have a pint! Sweet Reaper, can't wait for our cars to be turbo'd. Guys i'm going to try get some pics and info on how the wiring harnesses will get done, the guy is a bit of a mad magician, hopefully he will let me into a bit of his knowledge. Things have been a bit static at the moment but should get the other motor in the next 2 days and start work on it
  7. Thanks Mate, do you know anyone who may have though? The part number: 89621- 30020 i believe is for the VVTi, is this the same for the Aristo? I see it on a few lexus's but is this a different part with the same part number? had an issue with that before.
  8. No the company is called Japan Auto that imports the motors. I found the best two, usually they don't wiring harnesses or ecu's. getting one with both was a pre-requisite, luckily i have an electronics guru who will be able to assist with the electrics. I asked you about the 2 igniter modules that i need for the motors but you haven't replied yet. I'm Tony from Project shift btw...
  9. Hey Guys, I know its not BMW related but it is Project Shift related and i'm sure a few guys will be interested. I'm busy with two engine swops, one on my car and one on a customers car. We both have NA Supra's with 2JZ-GE engines, his is facelift and mine is pre-facelift. The engines are lifted from Aristo's and not Supra's so a few things will have to be changed. I haven't recieved the second motor yet but both came with ECU's and 'almost complete' wiring looms. We will have to merge the interior part of the stock wiring loom to the engine wiring loom of the new motor. Guys have done it before but very rarely so i hope to do a full write up so guys can check it out and ask any questions. Here is my motor being Loaded from Japan Auto: Thanks to Bass for lending us the Cherry Picker and engine stand! Once it was on the stand we started to strip the turbos off, i figured i may as well take them to be reconditioned as i wont be going single for a while and i would want the motor and turbos running their best during that time. So off they came and this is what was left: I'm now busy cleaning the turbo side of the block damn its dirty and all im using is a toothbrush. At this point i may as well be sweeping the desert But i want the motor to be sparkling when she gets dropped and not have to worry about anything when it is in. Will update you guys when things get modified and/or changed. I have some cool plans and hopefully you guys will enjoy it as i update
  10. Thanks bud! Appreciate the assistance
  11. Just to clarify, i dont mean the full carpet. Just the carpets for drivers and passenger sides.
  12. Hey Guys, I did a search and couldn't find anything. I want to have custom carpets made for my Supra as i have real rubbish ones in the moment. I don't have any originals. Does someone know the dimensions off hand so that i can get them made? Thank you
  13. cheers mate, probably just me being paranoid and meticulous! haha
  14. What about the mess in the intake manifold Chris?
  15. I would say 0.5 of a litre every 1000-1500km
  16. Hey Guys, Since i got my NA it has always used a bit of oil which i never minded because it had 130000KM and i thought this was customary for motors going over 100000kms that were almost 20 years old. Recently i smelled some unburnt petrol so i decided to take the intake manifold off to check the injectors and injector seals. When we took it off there was a bunch of dirty oil in the intake. i took the dipstick out while the car was running and see what it is doing. It was sucking in air, so i don't know if the motor is breathing (if i can say that) properly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated and will hopefully stop me worrying about my oil levels constantly. My mate drove behind me and said there was quite a puff of smoke out my exhaust at high revs. ADDED: I have replaced the tappet gaskets. Thanks Lads

    Temporary Job

Hey Guys, My GF just moved to London for 6 months on a working holiday, she currently has a job working for a functions company waitressing, bartending and so on but the hours are tough and she doesn't dig travelling alone at 2 in the morning from London's 5-Star hotels to her place in Acton. If anybody has a temp place (hopefully good hours ) for 3-6 months and would like me to send through her CV please let me know. I want her to try and have a normal 9-5 job and not have to worry too much about travelling at 2 in the morning alone. Also if anyone knows of good and reputable placement/recruitment agencies that would also be a massive help!!! Thank you gentlemen, i really do appreciate your input!

    Abs???

I can't current legislation states that i have to live in the UK for a minimum of 6 months with the car in my possession, I then have to import it which will be 100% + Duties + shipping... The list goes on hence the reason why there are so few...

    Abs???

Hi Supranature, Yes i did look at your message thank you. Sorry, i've just been so busy, i will send you the pics soon hopefully, i will probably be sending the car for paint in the next month or so, so it would be better if you could dhl the various rubbers and so forth. But i will get you the pictures of the parts i need @imi - Bro I would gladly buy a TT Supra anyday, the problem is that in South Africa there are about 5/6 legally registered Supra's. Three are TT's that were bought by Toyota Dealers and two are NA, one being mine and another being my mates NA which i think he bought from a forum member. @Nic - sure no doubt, but if it is a such a costly venture then it would not be worth it, rather just do a brake upgrade and go from there. Thanks for the replies guys.

    Abs???

Hi guys, I have the '93 NA Supra standard motor with an Injen Induction and a De Graaff exhaust. I want to go NA-T route. My question is, do you guys recommend putting ABS onto the car? I have standard J-Spec brakes and i will do either a Rotora or an AP Racing brake upgrade. Thanks, Tony
  22. Hehe, thanks for the replies guys. Now the question is will a 245 rub the front? And will a 265 rub the rear or should it clear? Do you think the offsets i chose were right?

  24. Hey guys, So I ordered rims. They are Lenso PD01 18" 9J ET40 front and 10J ET36 Rear. What tyres should i put on these bad boys? I have been searching but there is alot of contradicting evidence. I saw something like 235/40/18 and 265/35/18? Would this be correct? Thanks Guys
  25. Hey Guys, Would like to send a great thank you to Paul at Garage Whiffbitz. We placed the order and within one week of the money going through the items arrived in South Africa. His prices were the best i had found and shipping was really cheap. Thanks again Paul, i will definitely keep you as a supplier for future orders. Regards, Tony
