Nooo, don't do it! I tried a similar pop-up tent at a festival a few years ago, might as well have used twigs & a bin bag - any hint of rain and the thing filled up with water (no inner lining - stupid), barely big enough for two people and it was knackered after a few nights

This could either be fear or dominence - it's hard to tell which. I would recommend speaking to a vet or behaviourist. One thing is to make sure you are always present when she's eating, be in the room so it reinforces the ideas above that you have possesion of the food and are giving it to her. Preparing the food on front of her is a good idea as mentioned, as is making her work for the food as people suggested. You could also try putting extra tasty food in her bowl while she's eating so she can see she has nothing to fear about you being close to her food - sometimes taking the food away can make them even more possessive if this is more about fear than dominence. These worked on my dog when she was a pup. Take care though, every dog is different as I'm sure you know.

Tbourner: beautiful dog you've got there! I totally agree about it being all down to the owners. My two are staffie crosses themselves. If the owner isn't firm with them they do have a tendency to take the piss a bit and get a bit dominant. The worst is when you get the owners who encourage it, they're naturally people loving dogs and tend to do anything to please their owners - combine it with their strength and determination and I can see why some get into trouble. They're generally wonderful dogs though, they don't deserve their reputation at all. Great with kids, so tolerant. So sorry about what happened to yours

Dubrovnik in Croatia is supposed to be lovely and the kind of place you're looking for. Never been there myself though. Loved Barcelona when I was there, there's something for everyone and it's really lively. Whoever said Marakesh, I want to go there so much, maybe next year i'm thinking.

Hiya! Tortoises are great pets. You can get them from reptile shops, just be sure to research them before hand, unfortunately you still get plenty taken from the wild and they never do well in captivity so getting them off a place like gumtree would be a bad idea. A Hermans or a spur-thigh would be your best bet, they're the easiest to look after and don't get too big. I would ring a specialist exotic vet for some husbandry advice when you get the little thing (I work at one if you want that, though I am in London). Pet shops aren't always up to scratch with their advice, that's all Enjoy him though, they're fascinating little things

Black j-spec Supra parked outside a nice apartment block in Beckenham with gold badges, pretty stock looking (complete with bird poo I noticed the other day... aw no ) A silver Supra ass hanging out of a driveway in Bromley too, with a Nissan GTR always parked nearby. Drive past these cars all the time, makes me want my Supe more and more everyday!

My break situation is the same, I prefer having the shorter day though, rather than have 90 minutes break time over the day and leave an hour later because of it...

Like Boris on the telly but definitely not as a politician. All well and good being a funny bloke but he seems pretty useless to me.
