  1. The island is about 90 miles long and a 2 3/4 hour ferry trip off the mainland. I don't get off it very much at the moment (think it was last year sometime when I last escaped!) There are some good mile long straights where I've managed to almost top out my ZX-9R, so good spots for boosted cars. There's also a quarter mile drag race held at the airport each year (we have one of the longest runways in the UK btw!) But as long as I keep it standard, a J-spec should be OK? That opens up a lot more options UK cars are to hard to come by.
  2. That's Ok if I can find a cheap enough UK car at the time. What's the difference between UK and J-spec engines anyway? Is it just engine management? Or is it something more mechanical? (really showing how little I know now ) Cheers guys!
  3. Hi, I'm very very new to the world of turbo'd engines, the closest I've come to it is a TDi patrol! I've decided though that as I'm due to turn 25 in the summer it is time to live my boyhood dream and get a supra TT! Trouble is I live on an island where the only fuel available is 95 RON I've done some reading on here and come to realise that it aint good for a BPU car (which is what I want - POWEEEER!) Is it expensive to get the ecu remapped for lower octane fuel? Or would I be ok running a UK car on 95? Sorry for being such a newbie, but you've gotta start sometime
  4. Yeah, the TT is what I really want. POWEEEER! I'm from the Isle of Lewis off the west coast. Not a bad place to be if you don't mind rain and sheep!
  5. Hi everyone, just joined up tonight and wanted to say hello. Idon't have a Supra yet, but as soon as I turn 25 this summer (insurance is a prob at the moment) I'll be getting one. Just a quick question though, What sort of power/0-60 does the NA aerotop have? I have a BMW 323 at the mo with "190" bhp and a 0-60 of 7.5, and don't want anything slower than that. Obviously I would like a TT aero, but they're like rocking horse poo, and cost a bit more! Thanks for having me!
