Does the turbo timer fit into a supra easily enough? Baring in mind I hate wiring!

Hi all, Last night was my first time on the drag strip with my supra, and my first time with an auto! Before I prided myself on getting my manual BMW off the line like a rocket, even if it wasn't the quickest up the strip. But last night I kept getting raped cos my starts were so sluggish. Is there a trick to getting an auto off the line? I tried holding it on the brake and getting some revs up but she didn't seem to happy with that. So I then just planted it from nothing and had to wait for the turbos to kick in. By which time the Evo's and Impreza's had gone! The next race is on the 24th of July, and I'm hoping to have a boost controller fitted by then to give me more of a chance, but getting a good start is so important!

Shame I've already bought one off fleabay Cheers anyway.

Cheers guys. I've done some reading online and think I just need to fit the boost controller to get some more oomph out of her. I didn't know it played with the wastegate to get more boost. Shame I can't get it fitted before the drag racing on Saturday. Maybe for next months race

It's supposed to have all those things done to it by the previous owner. I've only had it a couple of weeks and am just finishing what he started. Shame I know nothing about turbos eh!?

Just a boost gauge at the moment. I'm waiting for a mate of a mate to fit the controller. Will that up the boost?

Hi guys, I've just been under my car to fit a new 1bar RR to my Supra, as I was told it had been limited to 0.6bar by the previous owner, but when I got the old one out it looked identical to my new one. the boost gauge before was reading -0.6 to -0.7 at idle and went up to 0.6 when you gunned it. Is that normal? I seem to have a 2.5" pipe going to the backbox, which then goes up to nearly 4" and a 5" tail pipe. Having looked at the black ring of crud on the old ring I decided that the 2.5" down pipe was restrictive enough, so went for a spin without the RR fitted. It was pretty much the same as before but went up to 0.7bar. How the hell do you get 1.2 bar out of these things? Or am I already there and I have a dodgy boost gauge? Gonna put the RR back in just in case though. Ive attached a photo of the two restrictor rings so you can get an idea of the exhaust size.

Do you have a radiator for a 94 J-spec TT auto? I feel like I've asked everyone on here now

I'm needing a new radiator, but am a bit confused as to what the differences between the TT auto and TT manual rads are. I've found a manual rad on here, but don't know if it'll fit my auto.

Mine's leaking! Had the car a week and it has a crack on the top of it! It's a '94 J-spec TT auto. Will need it posting as I live way out in the sticks... over the sea... arse end of nowhere... Stornoway.

Did a quick quote on confused and it looks like it'll double I'm paying £770 with sky at the mo, but I'll know more when renewal comes next year. I know what you mean about the speed, I just put the boot down for a few seconds and I was doing over 100. To easily done.

If I don't laugh I'll cry like a little school girl! I know what I did was wrong and I'm willing to face the consequences. Just as long as that doesn't involve losing my license for a year with a resit at the end!

Not a chance! I've got really lucky with finding this car (not so lucky in driving it mind) I'll put her in storage until I can drive her again.

Hi all. Well I've done it - I've bought my first Supra Went down to Dewsbury last Thursday and bought me a mint TT auto from two top brothers (Shaz and Kamron ) started driving back up with a big grin on my face having finally realised a boyhood dream! Then came the bl**dy A9 - big Q of traffic on a long straight, nothing coming the other way so I thought I'd blast past. Job done. 1/2 a mile down the road and I see blue lights in my mirrors. Unfortunately they were in the unmarked car at the side of the road with the gun. Was clocked at 106 MPh Just waiting to see what the fiscal charges me with, speeding or dangerous driving. I know I'm gonna get a ban, just how long for is what I don't know. The cop reckoned I mite not lose my license as I was overtaking traffic, so we'll see. Anyway can anyone beet losing their license in under 6 hours of supra ownership?

What kind of tapping was it? Just a slight tap, or an almighty clattering?

I've got a Warwick Vampyre (just the cheaper rockbass version tho), a vintage 5 string and a bloody awful dean metalman V!

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know that I've put a deposit down for my first ever Supra! It's a TT auto J-spec, with a claimed 49k on the clock (actually says 70k, but he reckons most of that was in km). Was just wandering if anyone knew the car? It's in Yorkshire around Dewsbury. Here are a couple of pics, should be picking it up next week.

I'm on the Isle of Lewis, we used to have BP and Esso, but now all we seem to get is National and we have to pay 128.9p a litre for the stuff! Half the guys out here work offshore to get the oil, but end up blowing all their cash on fuel bills. Anyway, rant over.
