  1. Is there anywhere in the UK that supplies RPS clutches?
  2. Could you elaborate on that abit? all ive heard so far is good about their products.
  3. Im not dismissing it by far, im looking for all the infomation i can get. I have been looking around and the Competition Clutch stage 3 seems pretty good, that and a matching flywheel will still cost around £950 but would see me well into a small turbo conversion when it happens. I wouldnt be able to afford a large single for a very long time so im not needing to spend that kind of money. Ive heard alot of good about the CC Stage 4 but having driven my brothers Celica gt4 with a puck clutch i am hesitant to get one for road use.
  4. I've never had a car, even with an aftermarket clutch that will be worn out in 2 years! Especially as I rarely do more then a couple thousand miles a year
  5. It isn't a daily driver though, weekend use only and single is on the cars for next year or two at latest, I don't mind rattle and noise, it's a fun car not a luxury cruiser for me. I'm asking more about brands and types that people have used and can recommend for quality
  6. Well my friend has ruined his Beemer 5 series as well, the OEM replacement is more expensive then a solid lightened one anyway. I have heard worn, old clutches being burnt out pretty quickly by bpu upgrades, and I don't plan on stopping at bpu, so I'm thinking to future proof. I will be dropping the box and investigating before I buy anyway, but when with the clutch fully engaged and letting off the throttle I get the clunking and rocking of the car slightly
  7. I have been getting some noisy rattling and clunking noises when using the clutch or letting on and off the throttle whilst the clutch is engaged, seems like the likely culprits are either clutch or flywheel, so I'm probably going to replace both. My car is soon to be bpu power (got all the bits just need to sort this problem out first before I fit it) what clutches have people used or known to be good for fast road use, I'm thinking of ditching the dual mass flywheel, I've always known them to be fragile with hard driving and I can live with the rattle of a lightened one, it's not a daily car. Any help would be appreciated
  8. I have something similar that I only ever hear with the windows down and driving beside a wall or something to rebound the sound, and ever figured it out, but I doubt it's an issue
  9. I have been looking around in here for a few days and aside from the extremely expensive version of atf fluid that Toyota recommended there doesn't seem to be any real agreement on what oils are best to use on the getrag boxes. Every thread I check says something different and contradictory. Is there a few good oils to use that are easy to get in the UK? Most of the listed ones don't seem to be around anymore
  10. Does anyone know of a good place in London that does good window tinting? There are a million company's buy most of them don't inspire confidence. Also any idea of the cost for a supra for side windows, quarter glass and rear glass?
  11. Was an awesome weekend and great to meet some of you country lot, though now i am gonna have to spend more time posting on the forum. Cheers fellas.
  12. Im From near by, Chingford, what about yourself?
  13. Saw a yellow supra with a body kit, didnt notice to type as i only caught a glance, driving past Snaresbrook crown court today just before 2pm. Looked like quite a nice one, not seen it before around here
  14. Saw a red supra heading to southend on the A127 at about 2pm today, didnt get a good look, was going in the opposite direction and just caught a glance
  15. Me and a few friends met up last weekend for a small dyno day. Ive had a quick look around but couldnt find any stock J-spec Supras to compare my graph to. Id say it looked pretty much how i was expecting. but a friend of mine said that it didnt look quite right (though hes no expert with supras, or even turbo'd cars) Just wanted some knowledgeable advice from some people who might know, only thing i was concered about was the drop in manifold pressure as the #2 turbo came on, not sure of teh pre-spooling is working right or of such a drop is normal.
  16. Saw a white sup on the A406 heading towards the M11 slip road (i think) i think it had a black bonnet but i was heading in the other direction and only really saw the rear. At about 4:10pm
  17. After buying some lovely alloys from a member here i found the fronts dont fit because of the big brakes and i think i need some 20mm spacers. Now i know its not ideal or something i overly want to do but its needed for the moment. I just need to know where to get them from and what would be a good brand, i dont fancy using some cheap crap off ebay for something so important. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. How much would you be looking at? i have some stock alloys that id be glad to part with as part of the deal
  19. Sounds like a good enough idea, im only looking to stop it spreading or getting worse. Its in a hidden area anyhow so it doesn't have to look good
  20. Any advice on how to best deal with it?
  21. I dont have any pictures due to my phone being useless now its dark, but i have a very small rust spot on the rear of the car, on a part surrounding the tail lights...looks like the paint has been scratched off...maybe though removal of tail lights. Whatever caused it doesn't really matter though, but what is the best way to deal with such a small spot, barely a millimetre spot but i know it needs to be sorted sooner rather then later.
  22. Yeah im seeing that, the reason im finally looking is that my rears need new tyres and it makes sence to change the wheels aswell (white car with stock alloys looks awful i think ) but i just dont have £800 to hand atm
  23. Very nice wheels, the exact sort of thing i was looking for, but they are just too expensive for now
  24. Simple for me. first came a knackered old 1.3 clio, was a total junk pile.....then a 2.0 Gen 5 Toyota Celica.....then finally my mkiv, no messing about
