  1. Hi mate, it's HB3 that you need for driving lamps. Give me a shout if you need any help. I'm only down the road from you
  2. I don't know if it's just my car but I've noticed that the guage needle drops quite rapidly after below the half way mark so i don't think that the needle half way necesserily means the tank is half full. If that makes sense? Have others also noticed this? (So sorry to sidetrack Gabriella, hope you don't mind!) nice informative thread by the way
  3. Check the speed sensor which is mounted on the upper side of the gearbox closest to the car's underside and it's connection is quite fiddley to get to. Speed sensor - Put the car over a pit or raise it on a jack. Look on top of the gearbox for a connector with three wires (red, Yellow and IIRC Red/Blue). This is the speed sensor's connector. Check that connection for damage, secure fastening etc.

    HID bulb help

Dunno mate, thats what I fitted to my jap facelifts. Unless the last owner trimmed the headlights I don't know. But they didn't look trimmed.

    HID bulb help

H3 for fogs, and HB3 for dipped.
  9. What kind of price do the Toyota Bilsteins go for these days? Cheapest I've found for the german made one is £123 each. I assume these are much cheaper?

    Headlight Rings

Come on Mark sort it out!
  11. Nice love the purple valve cover, but i'm not sure about the extra logo on the fan cowling because there's already one on the fusebox. 2 logos are a bit ott for me. My opinion of course. Looks great.
  12. Titanium is strong in some ways but not others. It's more the strength to weight ratio that makes it useful.
  13. Love the cam covers! Great skills you got there chap.
  14. Just carefully prise the folded metal over with a flat bladed screwdriver. Its pressed together. I'm not gonna attempt to put it back together because I doubt it will be as reliably sealed as it was. Not worth the bother, I'll just keep a look out for another similar one. It's made by Denso so there should be plenty more stock looking ones on other newer makes of cars. One off an Mitsubishi Evo looks similar. I like the discreet look
  15. On my facelifts it is H3
  16. You havn't been spending time on the DriftWorks forum.. have you???
  17. Hard to say isn't it matey. Depends on the individuals circumstances, like you say. Time, space, how quickly you need the cash. For someone with no off street parking they don't have much of a choice.
  18. Mine are black-ish. I think it's dust trapped in them that makes them look grey.
  19. Found this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS250-IS350-carbon-sport-steering-wheel-07-08-09-/300446803918?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45f40667ce A tad pricey for my pocket, but nice.
  20. Good idea matey re:speaker covers!
  21. Just to add, my car has only ever been run on stock boost.
  22. My stock BOV was open all the time. I decided to take it apart to see how it had failed. As you can see the washer that seals against the seat has broken into many bits. Luckily it was all there and not sucked into the intercooler/engine. I assume that at one time it was rubber but it was completely brittle like plastic. My car is pretty low mileage on a 1996. I bet theres many other cars with the same problem that the owners don't know about. Here you can see the insides: Here is the offending washer. I think it was originally bonded to the metal on the diaphragm: And finally here is a photo of what i've done to bypass it. Ive put silicone end caps on the two larger pipes and a bolt in the smaller vaccum pipe:

    First Supra

I saw the top secret gt300 once when I was a teenager and absolutely fell in love with the body shape. After some research I realised the potential these cars have. I don't really like newer cars due to all the electrioncs/complexities Involved. Otherwise I could have easily bought a brand new Hyundai. As I keep getting told by my parents/senior members of the family. They don't make them like they used to!
  24. These kits are not really reccomended. There's no telling how good the parts are. You are just replacing the seals but the chances are that your shaft will be worn also so even with the new seals, It might not work or only be a temp fix. Depend low long you need them to last until you go single. If they shit themselves then Ive heard you can get bits into your engine. Also it is reccomended that you get the shaft re-balanced after dismantling. The best idea might be to source a pair of decent used turbos and just replace yours. I hope I have helped.
  25. Nice job. I will be attempting this myself when I manage to get hold of a decent wheel.
