  1. And knowledge, dont forget the knowledge! Known good place are Chris Wilson and WIM. They have set up hundreds of Supra's before so should be able to dial in the settings for the characteristics your after.
  2. Hello, Another gunmetal Supra in Yorkshire! My twin!... well almost. Looks very nice Matthew. Hope you enjoy it.
  3. Try the opie oils website. I think it's pretty good.
  4. I bet brand new they would cost a small fortune if the price of a power steering pump is anything to go by. Fitting seems quite simple. Im not sure how much it would cost to get it charged up with the refrigerent though. Although you can get it in a can to refill yourself. (seen some in Halfords im sure)
  5. Full kit with the two shaft seals for rear is around £65 posted (ebay) within the uk that is.

    Hii

Welcome matey, Martin aka Kirk on here knows his way around a Supra. He's based in Oldham.
  9. I've seen worse. On closer inspection, tip of the hand brake lever looks like it's had plenty of action.
  10. Could be like one of these type affairs - http://www.richbrook-styling.co.uk/wheel-valve-caps-valves-tyre-pressure-gauge/flush-fit/80 You might need a "snake eyes" screwdirver bit to undo it if a pair of circlip pliers wont do the trick.
  11. Is it not 40 profile in the rear Nic ? or am I mistaken?
  12. I'll be retro-fitting mine shortly. Once I get the motor and control stalk. Already have the ecu. Mine is a RZ-S and there doesn't seem to be any wiring already there so I'm looking forward to the wiring! (not)
  13. haha, can't be too carefull these days!
  14. Classic seized caliper symptoms. how handy with the spanners are you? You could possibly just refurb it yourself with new seal/dust boots. Also cleaning the pistons with some fine wet & dry.
  15. Jack it up and spin the wheel, Check for play or noises to see if it's brakes warped or bearing gone.
  16. I know it's a photoshop but still
  17. Ive noticed the dipsticks on my facelift TT and my brothers pre-facelift N/A are a different design. Mine is a flat blade and his is a round wire type thing. The wire is a crap design as it scrapes oil from the tube making it give incorrect readings. My 200sx also has a similar wire type stick and I have heard of on the owners club engines being seized due to no oil even though the dipstick says it's full. Only way to be sure is to drop it all and put correct amount in. Or change the dipstick to a flat blade one.
  18. Not insulting your garage but are you sure they checked it with the handbrake off? Could also be loose hubnut. They need torqueing to like 300nm which is a hell of a lot. Best way to check would be handbrake off and brake caliper pads out imo.

    Now then!

    Welcome chap.
  20. Where abouts in N. Yorkshire ar you Rob? You're more than welcome to come and have a look at mine or my brothers. I don't have access to a ramp by the way.
  21. Not an easy task but this is the best I could get with a quick google. Even then, it looks like it's in sections pasted together. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/349/imgp0490size5lt.jpg
  22. Oh and email them a link to this thread, If they don't reconsider their quote, then contact trading standards. It's not on for unscrupulous garages to take advantage of unsuspecting customers like this. Really makes my piss boil.
  23. How about getting some detailed quotes together from other traders (SRD, JM Imports, Paul Whiffin, Chris Wilson, Garage786 etc..) to show the garage what they *should* charge?
