  1. You need to speak to Chris Wilson on here.
  2. Thats the best way chap. handling should always prioritise over power. Power is no good if the car handles like poo

    End of an era

This ^ Go for a looong drive, stop at a scenic route and take a few photos.
  4. No bud, balljoints are fine, I'm just re-newing the grease. My idea was that any new grease is going to be better than the 15 year old one currently in the joints. I was hoping this would atlease increase the longevity of the joints. I was just unsure what type of grease to use. That's great bud. I'll get some lithium grease.
  5. Try running a garden hose through it on gentle pressure.
  6. Hello, What grease should i use to re-grease balljoints on the suspension arms. The stock grease seems to be very runny and dark yellow coloured. As it's yellow, I assume it's similar to normal Lithium based stuff eg, Castrol LM which is also yellow in colour. But seen as it's a balljoint which is constantly moving, I was thinking maybe Moly C.V grease would be best. I'm kind of unsure which one would be best. If somebody technical could please advise. Many thanks, Iky.

    Oil filter good?

Same here, plus the fact that they are always in stock at the motor factors up the road from me.
  8. Worth doing i'd say, If not due to mileage but the age as the rubber looses it's sealing properties as it becomes brittle like plastic. The front seal worth doing seen as the cambelt is due at 60k if not done done already. Rear seal worth doing as the engine is out so should be easier task.

    Oil filter good?

It doesn't mention what year supra it's for Jazz. I don't know if mk3 uses a different thread size. Also I can't see any part numbers stated, Your best sending the seller an email to double check.
  10. Havard, the pipe you cut, Is this the return pipe for the matrix? We pulled this off whilst the car was running and at full temp, but NO fluid at all leaked out. Am I correct in assuming that there is a blockage in the matrix and NOT an airlock? Is someone could confirm an airlock would still cause this, it would help avoid going through all the rigmarole of removing the dash to replace what could be a fine working matrix.
  11. Can uk spec suspension fit and be used on a j-spec. Yes it can And also can TT suspension bemused on n/a? I would assume that the TT is set differently due to weight so it would sit higher if used on an n/a! Correct. Just wanted to know of it would be a matter of its a straight swap and all fits all. Yes, they are all physically the same. U.K dampers and springs are said to have slightly softer damping.
  12. Got a gates 6pk1938 on mine. Fitted 5k ago and still fine
  13. Same here. It always goes a little nuts when the battery goes dead. works great otherwise though.
  14. Those are exhaust manifold studs. On toydiy its on the next page with diagrams of the turbo units.
  15. Part number for the stud is - 90116-08158 OIL DRAIN Part number for the gasket is - 15471-46010 From toyodiy.com
  16. Hi mate, I see you managed to get both nuts off in the end:), Is it necessary to take the studs out as well? I thought you could just pull the pipe down and change the gasket?
  17. No worries mate, it's always nice to look at other peoples Supras http://whifbitzperformancetuning.co.uk/toyota-supra-turbo-upgrades-toyota-parts-toyota-p-15011.html This seems to be what you need for the turbo drain. 15471-46010 http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/diag_1j2XkgN.png You should really have a closer look at the pipe as well, just to make sure is not cracked near the flange where it bolts onto the bottom of the turbo.
  18. 19. It's all there, http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler5.gif http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler4.gif There are little numbers around the grey shaded area, I'm pretty sure these are pin numbers. Looks like to me, pins 12 and 13 aren't used.
  20. Mate, your not looking hard enough. Luckily for you, I'm looking to do this in the near future. Here i found this just now from a quick google - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler1.htm The link came from this page - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?62263-Active-Front-Spoiler-Wiring
  21. In here somewhere I would think. http://www.97supraturbo.com/1997%20Service%20Manual/Electrical.pdf
  22. The switch is also illuminated, don't forget that. It would wire into the car ecu. You just need to go through the workshop manual. Also I assume there is a fuse for it? Try google.
  23. Regarding this, I've read something on one of the usa forums that someone had wired something into the pps solenoid to control it. That maybe an easier option for someone looking to do this. Possibly...
