  5. Hi all, Iv put this thread here to see what intrest there is in order to then generate a thread within the meets section. Im a regular at shakespare raceway as its fairly local to me in the midlands and have been talking to them recently about getting involved with events. http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/ Although Shakey does'nt have all the side shows and add-ons that Santa Pod has, it’s the drag strip that counts and what performance people can get out of there cars. I am in current discussions about the place hosting a supra drag tornament on one of there RWYB events. This can happern on more than one occaision. and could become an anual event. The 2 weekends mentioned below are on the cards to be incorporated into the weekend or we can select other RWYB weekends for the event to take place: Custom Chrome Cherry Bomb Challenge RWYB Sunday on April 21st and in June the Daynodaze Public Track Weekend (9th June). There is also the discounted price possibility for the group. For now id like to start a list of peoples names who would be intrested in entering the tornament. There will probably be a small trophy for the winner but all in all its a bit of fun, in a professional type tornament.   6. i had a W58 running BPU at 1.1 bar, 15 runs up he drag strip and 3 days later it went stripping every tooth off the imput shaft. Iv been running R154 at 1.2 bar with no issues, and my R154 conversion is up for sale too!
  7. i need 2 of these please for my 3600 hi stall drag car. May of missed it above but by buying 2 do they rig up in series?

  9. Opinions please. is it worth stripping out the supra? what parts do you recomend to take out or leave in? its going to be a road going drag car so would like a little bit of comfort got buckets going in so the seats are definatly coming out? carpets, trim, door cards?

  11. Iv just stuck on a toms ecu but i noticed the idle issue before. I not sure about a low redline although I did think it hit it quickly when I revved it yesterday stationary with the stock ecu. It's an Na with a TT conversion that came off an auto. Now with an r154, lightens flywheel stage 5 clutch, bpu. It drives fine just now and again as I drop from second to third it cuts out.
  12. Iv finally got the car sorted but since having the new r154 box and lightened flywheel the idle is low and every now and then when changing down to first from second the engine will stall. I'm guessing its because the idle is low. Could this be something to do with the lightened flywheel? There's no boost or air leaks. I know there's no idle adjustment screw and all I can find about idle adjustment is adjusting the throttle cable directly which doesn't seem right. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  13. bloody hell, what a bugger, in order to stop the noise i had to removed the exhuast and remove the prop and cut the prop shroud back as it was rubbing or squeelling agaist the gearbox as it slots in. On top of that i now need to re shape the shroud round the gearbox that covers the prop as i had tryed to remove that before hand and now thats touching. well at least i know what it was. Back under the car tonight, please stop raining.

Hi, i finally got took the car for a spin last night after 6 months of getting all the bits togeather for the R154. all is good and seems fine other than a rather distinctive high pitch squeeling noise that sounds like somethign rubbing agaist some sort of thin sheild. Iv checked the dust sheilds but im thinking it might be the prop - i heard someone mention this can happern? can anyone advise please?
  15. if the weather is bad i will skip jap show as im only intrested in running on the strip. other wise i can just roll out of bed and pack up at the pump room. can yo ugive me details in case please

  18. will the w58 bell housing for the r154 thats out of a mk3 supra 7m?
  19. mine is already a manual thats had the W58, will i need the replace the slave, and master cylinder? and pedals?
  20. oh i ment, price rate? how much does a R154 go £ wise??
