ok thanks, so i will need, the box, flywheel and clutch, and prop? will my w58 shifter and slave cylinder all be ok?

cool, so mk3 supra prop will fit my the r154 gearbox and my diff on the supra that was running w58? whats the going rate for the R154?

so if i get just the R154 box, what else will i need? R154 clutch and flywheel? (is thta off of the MK3 supras?) What about prop and diff etc? also whats the going rate for the R154 box?

thats for the advice, but i beg to differ as i am running bpu and my W58 is lacking a few teeth on the input shaft and the counter gear. So im guessing W58 isnt strong enough, hence why i want a new box. need details on the R154

in two minds about what to do as i dont intend to go anymore from BPU and just want to run the car on the drag strip now and again. the cost of the v160 is putting me off and want to know more about opinions about the w154 set up and if its goign to be good enough or what i want to do?

After getting the box apart i have found out i need a new input shaft and a new countergear. can anyone advise where i can get them from?

iv managed to get the box off the car with no issues, and want to open the box to try and find the issue. Iv undone bolts the bolts around the centre of the box but i cant split get the 2 halfs to seperate. do i need to do somethign elser before it will come apart? please advise. Thanks

I need to find a place to have my gearbox changed ss my drive is on a slope and i think it might be best to get somewhere else to do it. can anyone recomend a decent place in leamington spa or surrounding areas to get it done, or anyone in the area fancy earning some money???

supra 5 speed, tt bpu 1.1 bar, 1/4 mile: 13.040 @ 113.22mph, 18" wheels, stock turbos. (when i have the new box, going to be running 1.2 bar, plus drag wheels and slicks, come on the 12s)

i think its done about 70,000miles, came off an stock auto

im guessing theve been on there way out for a while as i only noticed it since taking the sats out. Only got the engine a month ago, so not very happy about that. think i might make a call to who i bought it off

ah thanks for that bit of info. So who can tell me or at least give me an idea of cost to get he seals changed on my turbos? or is it wirth just getting them fully refurbished? prices please

mmmm, ok, is it worth upgrading o Uk spec turbos or just get the seals done? any idea cost of getting the seals replaced?

ok thanks nic, Is there potential fatal damge in the short term if its turbo seals? new set of turbos needed? or a full turbo rebuild? whats involved?

mmmmmm, i have noticed the smoke on first start up once or twice, but its never when on boost or on load. I am causing any damage driving it as it is? is there any way to completly determine if its stem seals or turbo seals? any tell tail signs. thanks all for your help

Hi all, since going bpu and after a dyno run, from time to time my exhaust smokes. I cant get my head round what it might be as it only happerns when i come to a stand still, never under load. But its not a constant thing, its after just general driving at a constant speed for a while then coming to a stop say at lights or a roundabout the exhuast lets out a load of white smoke which is quite smelly. I woundered weather im burning oil but iv been keeping an eye on the level and it seems fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

ah i think i just over looked one of the hose pictures, as it shows which pipe to put the MBC in. mines not ones of these £10 ebay ones its a little beefier. I think ill be ok now.
