  1. well todays saterday so he should be getting it today! good luck!
  2. yeah unless i get lucky, but itll probably be the auto
  3. yeah still set on the TT, preferebly manual but they are more expensive. so if i had a good mileaged supra for £6.5k TT manual. thats a bonus. if it was a TT auto. perfect.
  4. i am going to buy a supra maybe a few months but ill get there didnt see ur reply there abz im not struggling, just most of my money is cash and its a pain in the ass to get it back into the bank. especially atm. after all expenses (bills, food rent) i have about £500-£600 left over a month. car will be serviced and modified (if it gets to that stage) by someone i know. within J & N Developments (fella that did my type r conversion) gets me cheap everything.
  5. yeah ill join the members club lol, just hard to get ahold of cash in the bank account atm. so i will most likely have to wait till next month.
  6. ah thanks attero, that is appreciated. what insurace company are you getting those quotes from? good luck in jumping in that supra when u hit 3rd year ncb.
  7. lmao mitchell, u mean motorboat yeah i defo will get membership, but not till the end of next month. would be good to meet up with you guys and such.
  8. i worked out my budget properly just there so yeah the tt auto for 3k (i was looking at the ad) said he wanted a fast sell as leaving country. ad was only up a few days before it disapearred. thanks mitchell i hope i do find. ill register as a member here soon and put up an ad for the civic or for exchange when i sort a few things out.
  9. thanks scotty and LBM. well first off i managed to find my old ad for my civic on gumtree, so here it is if you want a peek. http://edinburgh.gumtree.com/edinburgh/25/50772625.html now before i decided i was going to sell the civic, i knew i wanted a RWD/AWD turbo coupe of some kind... i looked at MR2's, Zeds, GT4's and a few others... i did a bit of research, realibility.. how easy to modify... to tune. looks. I came to my decision on the supra. Ive been so obsessed at getting one, my flat mate went from not liking supras to wanting to buy one himself lol. but yeah, my budget. well im planning to sell the civic between £6-7k. planning to get a Auto TT for between £4-6.5k depending on mileage (seen a stunning 40k mileage supra go for £3000!!!! on auto trader 2 weeks ago) my max budget for insurance for the year would be about £3000.. thats really the highest ill go (not because i cant afford higher i could, just its a bit stupid)
  10. hi steveo, trust me im not rushing in, been looking at supra for over 3 months now, reading about them, comparing, pros and cons, how many models have been made per factory per year etc. ive done my homework. ill i need is the money. if i did hopefully get my supra, i would go for the simple, cheap... "murdered out" style. everything completely black. It would suit the supra as it does a 350z and most other powerfull looking cars. id settle at 2k for an insurance. realisticly i could afford about 2.4k at the most and have plenty to spare. paying monthly ofc.
  11. hmmm sounds like a plan rob, and thats probably what ill do... unless i can find cheaper quotes for the TT. but i dont know how much cheaper a NA is...
  12. i really really badly want a turbo though. i miss it greatly. V-techs great and all... but doesnt compare to hearing the turbo spooling up and pushing u back in your chair.
  13. i did think about the 200sx... drove one.. its quite nice and drift happy... just... i dno its not really my style. the looks are ok. my hopes arent high now, pretty gutted at these quotes... dno how they changed like that out of the blue. i will obviously spend a while getting quotes for the supra before i buy. but i badly want a supra, looks fantastic, great rep. tunability is awesome... just hope i get decent quotes before i buy
  14. getting £3000+ pretty insane compared to what i was getting for similar TT autos. but nearer the time of buying a supra ill spend a day or 2 phoning a few insurance providers. im confident i can get it down.
  15. yea richie i think ill do that, start with the TT auto. i badly want a supra. just hope i get cheaper quotes than the ones ive been dealing with today. otherwise i might have to consider a N/A or even a celica gt lol
  16. auto trader and ebay, this was going back to december/jan when i got these quotes. i received an email for every quote. but only saved one for an example. that was the "G" reg one.
  17. i used lots of different supras for my quotes. to check accuracy. i was averaging £1400 but occasionally fluxed to £2000 max. i used about 6 different reg's.
  18. hmmm thats strange, i only take reg's from mk4 supras when i was quote hunting. dont like the look of mk3's at all.
  19. yeah its weird, cause i got similar quotes over the phone from kwik fit... ah well will need to sort it nearer the time lol. need to sell or exchange the civic.. then onto a supra! http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/6919/toyotahumpinghonda.gif
  20. yeah i agree abz. patience is a virtue. i need to sell this civic first before i can think of buying the supra. unless of course i get a exchange. wooops no not the mk3. that reg was a mk4. trying to get quotes no... with the same reg i used a while ago... and coming up completely different. and very expensive... im confused as hell. tiger saved all my details i used in previous quotes. hope it wasnt a software problem
  21. Hi Abz, no not the cheapest, ill concentrate on a few main things. Mileage has to fall between 30-70k. has to be turbo'd. and up to £6500. if those main things are ticked id view, and if its alll looking good there id buy. oh right, mk4 does seem a little high on insurance. i guess id have to stick to mk3. I did have a friends Mr2 for a while. so got good driving experience with rwd. been driving for over 2 years with no accidents/fines... so im hoping i can cope with the supra.
