Matt THEY FIT !!! Damn they look fine too, i was quite tempted to change the whole lot over. But we wouldn't want two supras with Lexus wheels would we I didn't try the 10" rears but there'll be no problem there. The fronts have about 10mm clearance. Dean.

Sorry to be joining this thread a bit late. I have a UK spec Supra, and a Lexus GS300 with 18" wheels, do you want me to try a Lexus wheel on the Supra ?? I dont think they'll fit as the Supra callipers look way bigger than the Lexus, especially the front's, i reckon they're still 2 Pots.. I wont be able to try till next Saturday now, but i'd be more that happy to. Justin. - can you get pads for a GS300 ?? Dean..

Stu Just dug out the results from the aligned (back in April) Things that jump out at me. CAMBER - Left (min -1.08 max 0.42) - Set -1.29 CAMBER - Right (min -1.08 max 0.42) - Set -1.09 SAI ? - Left - (9.58) - Set 10.71 SAI ? - Right - (9.58) - Set 10.13 INCLUDED ANGLE - Left (9.25) - Set 9.40 INCLUDED ANGLE - Right (9.25) - Set 9.04 Could see nothing else untoward except Rear Thrust angle was -0.04 was set to -0.01 From the analogue print out got these Front readings FROZEN CASTER - left 3.72 right 3.95 middle reading 0.23 CAMBER - left -1.27 right -1.09 middle reading 0.18 TOE - left 0.01 right 0.01 middle reading 0.02 Whether any of these reading are correct i have no idea - i had a good look round my tyres and noticed no significant wear to the front left, inner wear to the rear left, no significant wear to the rear right, absolutely f*cked to the front right. I wonder how these results compare to yours. Dean.

Just noticed excessive wear to my offside front tyre. The other tyre is still even, but this one is totally treadless on the outside edge for about 2-3 inches. Cant believe i haven't noticed it before... Is this solely down to tracking. Northway were supposed to have done a full camber, 4 wheel alignment etc. in June when i put the tyre on and had it lowered. I've now done just 2000 odd miles and have one totally sh*gged tyre. Will tracking cure it, if i've got to cough out for 2 new tyres, i dont : 1. want to have to pay another £90 for 4 wheel alignment 2. Find the tyre gone again in a couple of 000 miles. Dean.

Mr Jefford. Its not too bad to do all the things you want to do.. Racelogic do two kinds of blank for the bottom DIN. 1 - three punch out 54mm ?? - circles suitable for a range of Blitz gauges, which inclue a boost gauge, like what i got They also do one with 2 ? x slots for Turbo timer, and 1 x Circular knockout for Boost gauge. They come with a piece of sticky back, fake leather, plastic which sticks over the plate after you have done the knocking out, and is trimmed with a craft knife. This link http://www.rolec.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=9&topic=6 shows pictures of mine in situ. This link is the how to do it one. http://www.rolec.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=9&topic=1 The boost gauge was ok to fit, there's a big grommet to get into the engine bay, you can pick up the feed for the light in the dash of the cigar lighter. I'd be happy to give you a hand as i've been in and out of that side of loads of time now - but i think you're a tad far away - i'm Milton Keynes way Dean..

I've decided i'm going to have a crack at spraying my PW side skirts. Would someone be good enough to list what i need. Here my thinking (highly likely to be wrong..) Primer Thinners Paint -Storm Blue- Top coat of some kind ?? Fibreglass repair kit ?? Filler Plasticizer ?? - Dont know what this is but i know Nick Phelps uses it to stop cracking ?? - seemed to do a v.good job on the front lip. Wet & Dry various grades i assume. There's a paint place in Bedford that seems to do everything, but i'd rather go there looking remotely like i know what im asking for  Dean..

Got a pair of Firbre Glass side skirts - how the hell do they stay on ?? Considering how flexible they are, i would assume they need fixing every 25mm... I can see how they fix at the front. Do you remove the existing black plastic that runs along under the door ?? Also i can see the back black plastic within the wheel arch are fixed with some kind of plug - not screwed - how do they come out ?? Dean..

Got the NurSpec R drilled baffle exhaust fitted yesterday. And ran it in anger for the first time today (thats what happens when your brothers in the car !!) I was really give it a go down one of those lovely MK dual carriage ways when all power ceased and the warning triangle came on. What seemed like an age, but probably only 2 or 3 secs, eased off and everything came back on again. I've never seen that before !! - No cats either so i guess that all helps. So if it sounds like fuel cut i guess i need a Pete Betts FCD. Also noted that even with new exhaust no cats etc. still only get 1.0bar boost... Oh yes, UK spec by the way Dean.

Syed Take the Supe for a blast down the A5D from the Old Stratford. You should be able to easliy reach 155/160 - I did it on a Sunday afternoon with no traffic therem the speedo read 160 well before the Stratford flyover, giving you plenty of time to wind down before the TMA junction Dean..

Had the bonnet up today - rare occurance... Up in the top right above the brake system, is a black box with 3 pipes going into it - brake pipes i assume. As i went to close the bonnet (it had been open for about 1hr) - i could here this fast fairly quite ticking sound. If i wiggled one of the pipes it stopped. I gave everything a wiggle and could stop it, but as soon as i let go it started again. Theres no leaks visible, cracks/breaks etc.... Any help appreciated. Dean.. (UK car by the way)

This is probably a daft question, but i like to check before i mess around for ages. I assume the zips in the leather seat backs mean they can be removed ?? Would this allow me to swap passenger and driver covers, as the passenger is not marked like the drivers.. I have a couple of nasty gouges in the leather where i've hopped into the car with a pair of dodgy tracksuit bottoms.. - i was thinking of swapping the covers over so my seat looks good, and the damaged panel is to the inside of the passenger seat.. Has anyone tried that leather repair. filler, respray etc. Dean..

The chips' man took his pot with him, it cuts the cost, as he did different chips last year, he had a perfect matched pot ready this time. If i'm touching up myself, i had a can mixed for me by a local paint shop, and just spray into the cap etc., which funnily enough i did tonight when my front lip and a ramp had a slight altercation, the lip coming off worse - though only on the underside thankfully and not on display. Poor Nick Phelps will be so dissapointed to see his paint work damaged... So could i cut back my whole car with 2000 grit, and then polish it to remove swirls etc. or would i be creating more ?? - i was so impressed with the job it did, i can see plenty of little scratches that could be removed. Dean..

Leon replaced both the Cats latter part of last year, so if it bolts onto that pipe i guess i'm ok. If i'm running de-catted etc. should i start to worry about over-boosting ?? I think the UK cars are not as suseptable to this ?? Dean..

Cheers James My mum gots loads of tack she's always cleaning - bet that'll be the same stuff - brings the saddles up a treat !! Dean..

Phil Where did you get your furniture leather cleaner - i sent the wife on her weekly errand to Tescos, added it to the list, but couldn't find any. Of course i immediately sent her back out to find some, but to no avail... Dean..

What products do people use for cleaning dead flies from their paintwork. Removing the carcasses is easy enough, its the clear stain they leave behind which seems impossible to remove. And what about Leather - cream leather looks good but gets grimey - whats the solution ?? I think i use the entire Autoglym range, and none of these either remove flies or particularly clean up the leather. Give me some names, and i give them ago. Has anyone tried the Scandinavian leather restorer stuff ??, i believe it has leather filler and all sorts for an as new look... Dean.

I never throw anything away !! From: [email protected] Sent: 30 January 2000 10:40 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: MkIV Headlights UK Supras Mailing List - http://www.supras.co.uk/ The company is called CETEM and their phone number is 0121 749 7080. They specialise in supplying polishing kits for all kinds of materials, glass, metal, plastic, but the accent is on DIY use. So everything they supply is complete with all you need including full instructions. All you need is an electric drill. Oh, and you absolutely MUST wear goggles and a mask. I mentioned the fact about the UK lights because that was a situation I faced after purchasing my car. I found though that it was the optical clarity of the plastic that had deteriorated. I tried to polish it out, and they did look better, but there was still a milky white sheen that I couldn't get rid of. Best of luck. Steve C
