  3. Come on guys, nobody knows ?
  4. Hello, I need a new knock sensor , I still got error 55. Are the knock sensors from a 2JZGE engine the same as the 2JZGTE ? Can anyone tell me what the Toyota partnumber is ?
  5. can anyone tell me if a knock-sensor for a 2JZGE is the same as an 2JZGTE ??? I'ts on limp mode for months now.
  6. Hello, I need a new knock sensor , I still got error 55. Are the knock sensors from a 2JZGE engine the same as the 2JZGTE ? I've contacted this person: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-2006-Toyota-camry-avalon-supra-Lexus-es300-is300-Knock-Sensor-/220999624402?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33749aa6d2&vxp=mtr and this person: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KNOCK-SENSOR-FOR-TOYOTA-CELICA-CAMRY-MR2-MRS-SUPRA-RAV4-COROLLA-LEXUS-IS300-/160785712860?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item256f9346dc But both don't know if it's the right sensor for a 2JZGE engine
  7. I've located the second Knock-Sensor. -Are the knock-sensors from a European twinturbo model the same as the N/A J-spec model ? -I can barely reach the sensor with my fingers, what is the best way to replace it ? remove the starter ? or the Intake ?
  8. #42 hasn't came back thankfully. But for #55 (knock-sensor 2), I removed the undertray and googled a workshopmanual for the supra, I know now a little how I can troubleshoot it, but I can't find my knocksensor : http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/6931/suprad.jpg Does anybody have a good picture of knock sensor 2 on a 2jz-ge engine ? Google didn't found any good results
  9. Ok, I didn't drove faster then 40 mph yesterday..... I could not find info about #42 that I should drive faster then 50 mph I'll test it this week
  10. I did reset the ECU, and i only got #55 this time
  11. yesterday I doublechecked the odometer and speedometer, they both work fine, I've resetted the ECU and took a test drive. Within 10 minutes I got a error. but only #55. I Think I just wait when error #42 occurs again. When the speedometer and odometer is removed from the car and u don't start the car but turn the key to position 2, does it send an error code #42 to the ECU ? I mean, is it's possible that it is stored in the ECU while I was changing the cluster a few weeks ago, and when there was really an error code (#55) and I diagnosed it, there were 2 errors stored ?
  12. where is the #2 knocksensor located ? and can i test it if it's ok ?
  13. But my odometer works fine..... I wil double-check that tonight when i'm back from work.
  14. And code 42 could be the (Coolant temp.: 80C or more) When the temp is on it's hightest point in my car, the needle is exactly in de middle. Could that give me a error ? I'm giving as many info as i can, I don't know a lot yet of supra's
  15. Ok, so I just checked the CEL, and I believe there are 2 errors: http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/252/3zv.mp4/ 42: no.1 speed sensor signal circuit; all conditions below are detected continuously for 8 sec. or more: (a) No. 1. speed signal: 0 mph (km/h) (b) Engine speed: Between 1500 rpm and 4000 rpm. © Coolant temp.: 80C or more (d) Load driving 55: Knock Sensor Signal (rear side) No No. 2 knock sensor signal to ECU for 4 crank revolutions with engine speed between 2050 and 5950 rpm So.. uhm, where to begin ? I changed my cluster a few weeks ago, it's working fine, there is no converter installed Is error 42 maybe a result of changing the cluster ? The car does drives fine.
  16. Thanks Ok, so I just checked the CEL, and I believe there are 2 errors: http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/252/3zv.mp4/ 42: no.1 speed sensor signal circuit; all conditions below are detected continuously for 8 sec. or more: (a) No. 1. speed signal: 0 mph (km/h) (b) Engine speed: Between 1500 rpm and 4000 rpm. © Coolant temp.: 80C or more (d) Load driving 55: Knock Sensor Signal (rear side) No No. 2 knock sensor signal to ECU for 4 crank revolutions with engine speed between 2050 and 5950 rpm So.. uhm, where to begin ? Is error 42 maybe a result of changing the cluster ?
  17. I ordered rear lower toe control arms for my supra from Megan Racing, because they were not good anymore, after that i will get the wheel alignment checked. Hopefully the twitchy rear end will go away another question; I was driving for about 10 minutes and the CEL goes on.... The car still drives the same, so i drove home, turned the engine of, and on again, the CEL returned 1 minute later. Can i diagnose the error code by my self ?
  18. I got a hint from a specialist, that it could be that there is another differential installed, that the car is used for drifting. And that I could check this by jacking up the rear of the car and spin the rear wheel and look if the other wheel is spinning the same direction. when in gear the wheels are spinning in opposite direction, and when in neutral the wheels are spinning the same direction. Does this mean that i can ignore the diff ? it's stock ? I also asked "dr_jekyll" on this forum, he used to own this car, but he is not responding. I didn't had a wheel alignment check, I will do this ASAP. Any other advice for its twitcy rear end ?
  19. As for as i could see the anti roll bars are stock
  20. uhm, sorry, what are ARB's ?
