  1. With a heat gun after 2mins or so it just falls off. Don’t forget to have a cloth ready to catch it :/
  2. Thanks. Its very good at reducing glare. I got it from amazon. Gemtex mirror. "Special sensors and electronic circuitry detect glare and automatically dim the mirror accordingly" easy enough to install. Heat gun will help remove the old mirror mount.
  3. Some small mods to make things different/more modern. led rear view mirror faux suede A pillar Not really an update, but heated and leather seats retrimmed. Push button start using advanced key system from USA. faux suede headliner
  4. Sure. Dont use the glue that comes with the mirror - get the VersaChem stuff. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L493C9M?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Z8WI49Y?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VersaChem-Rear-View-Mirror-Adhesive-fast-setting-super-strong-glass-expoxy-bond-/321655864669
  5. Thanks. I did look at those ones but have the rear boot cam via the headunit. - - - Updated - - - Thanks. I did look at those ones but have the rear boot cam via the headunit.
  6. Think somebody has already done this on here. Recently used a hire car with an auto dimming rear view mirror - made such a diffence! So thought about getting one fitted to the Supra. Pics of it fitted to the Supra You have to get a new metal bracket for the screen and glue it on. Make sure you get the good stuff or it will come off.
  7. Rob_Mitchell – please clear some of your messages. ta
  8. Tcbparts got a Denso one shipped from the USA a few months back for £160ish might be a little more pricy post brexit.
  9. How about - boaty mcboatface..
  10. My front NS sensor broke when I replaced the bearing, i was extra extra careful on the drives side so only needed the one. TCP parts got me a used one, cant find the reciept but it was much cheaper than Toyota price.
  11. Thanks all. Not bad for an IT guy Need to get them fitted now, damm drivers seat is heavy with the electric motor.
  12. Ha! thanks. I'm almost sure my diet was haribo, tea and biscuits when I did mine....it got physical with all the leather slapping!
  13. Thanks guys! The steamer and using the correct hog rings helped to get the best fit. I was a little ocd when it came to fitting. I got a used cloth passenger seat to test my work on before destroying my oem leather seats - was surprised how they came out. Will be fitting to the car next week, will post another pic in car.
  14. Thanks! probably should sort the garden out now..priorities
  15. So only just got round to fitting my seat covers from the group buy 2 years ago..sorry. Took my time with them, I used a £20 steam cleaner to rejuvenate the foam before recovering the seats, also used hog rings as I felt they worked better than cable ties. Took me about three days in total (Kills your hands) on and off, the lower seat is the easy bit, the back it a PITA but once you done the first seat the second is easier. I fitted heated elements at the same time. Seat foam got fluffy again I applied some leather protect, thats why it looks more glossy.
  16. Nah, tcbparts - was £170ish. Tying not to bend the fins on install
  17. As the saying goes, out with the old, in with the new! Might as well make use of the access and get some other bits sorted. Spot the holes. Used a spot weld cutting tool - very handy and easy to use. Condenser and dryer unit had seen better days. Old metal fan wasn't working - replacing with a Celica plastic fan. Getting there. New parts arrived.
  18. Thanks! was going to check this before moving on with the project.
  19. Thanks all for your input[GRIN][/GRIN] True, i suppose it's a case of trying these things out. Ive kept everthing in tack in case I sell the car etc.
  20. That does look good!! shame you never got round to sorting the lock. You thinking of doing push button in your Supra?
  21. Nice. That’s the only problem with this kind of project, unless you retro fit an electric lock but that could be tricky.
  22. Just the start of my winter project, what you think?
