  1. i paid around £8500 for my TT6, not a problem on it, hands down the best car ive ever owned, so reliable. gearbox solid as hell and like wise the engine had it 2 years now it will be up for sale later this year POSSIBLY
  2. awsome car, remember having it as wallpaper years & years ago. whats the current spec of it?
  3. yep serious, horn. my supra had 2 horns when i had it. i just use one now though. my horn is located there due to FMIC
  4. 4mm & 6mm i used. just order plenty of it, from ebay, better have too much than too little. nice thread resurection btw
  5. yes mate possibly, if the vacuums are connected wrong the second turbo wont come online properly, or like wise if the vacuums have a split. the vacuums controll the turbo pressure, and time they come online etc.
  6. its hard to explain over the internet, tbh i have a hissy whistling sound on mine that i didnt have before, but no loss in performance, just the sound. that doesnt mean that I dont have a boost leak though, as the turbos could just be working extra hard to compensate for the leak. have you done a boost leak test? (block the air filter off, and fill the intake manifold with air from a compressor, and put soapy bubbly water over the engine bay)
  7. i have the same sorta sound, mine is a hissy whistle sound, as if air is leaking, no loss in performance though, and boosts fine. so i dont have boost leak, going to try vacuum leak next....
  8. as above, there are 2 fill levels, hot & cold.
  9. edit wrong thread was ment to type on the air cn thread. free bump :-)
  10. anyone got a spare i can buy? or fabricate something similar, like a thick triangle with 3 holes cut? edit: got one now
  11. this is how some have done it, by removing the front of the air con pump...... paul372 can you post up please, i need to sort mine out as the squeeking is doing my head in
  12. i ran my car for about 6 months without a bracket. now i have a screetching noise from the belt, asif its slipping. ive made a bracket, but its still doing the screetching noise. going to put a bracket on like this..... as my bracket attaches higher up above the crank pulley so to speak
  13. quite true chris doesnt really need it removed. is there such a thing as a brace up to the job? have seen lots of braces,
  14. thanks mate, i dont need the full pump just the front part, where the bracket of the pump attaches to the engine not sure how exactly it comes off the pump?
  15. yea i have a shorter belt, i had a squeeking noise, which was both the crank damper, which i replaced. the squeeking noise remains now though from the belt, yet when you push the PAS pump backwards with a bar it goes.
  16. i removed my air con pump, i tried making a bracket, but it doesnt seem good enough because my fan belt is now squeeking. if i push the pump back with a bar the squeeking goes, anyone help me out?
  17. i thaught the same, it does seem very secure, but you HAVE to fit one, aparently after a while it can possibly crack the block some how heres a pic of one, i think its 1JZ though.... that isnt mine, i made one but i dont think its good enough, as now my belt is making a squeeking noise. when the pump is pushed back the squeek goes, so i need a new brace.
  18. right just been out for a quick sloww run. discs are cold. i can hear them lightly scraping though even when driving with brakes off? ive left my wheel brace and jack up my garage, so cant look properly. however there seems to be some play in the pads about 1mm, asif they are loose in the caliper?
  19. yes mate removed the resivour when pushed caliper back and thers plenty fluid there.
  20. ok i get you. wierd the both discs have the same marka on them and both grinding. makes me think ive done something wrong. what could i have done wrong though? the metal clips on the pads possibly wrong? just seems odd sticky caliper to cause the noise. think they need to be removed checked and cleaned... and un seized if they are
  21. ok thanks. so the noise we think is caused by a sticking caliper? on both sides?
  22. thanks fot help, the pads are brand new though, were just put on a few months ago. so remove them, copper grease the back and sides of the pads yea? how to i copper grease the pistons? you dont have to splitthe caliper do you? is the marks on disc what causing the noise?
